Case Chockalet Chip Kale Krunch

Case Chockalet Chip Kale KrunchOk Ok, thats what I thought too, until I tried them! If you are a heathy person looking for a little indulgence of the sweet, this is it. They have just enough chocolate tastiness to make me feel sastified, but not all the sugar and junk to make me feel gross. I am addicted to them!! Love it!

Cheerios MultiGrain Cereal, 16.2-Ounce Box

Multi Grain Cheerios Cereal, 16.2 OunceI would normally not have given Multi-Grain Cheerios just 3-stars. But General Mills recently changed the ingredients so that it's no longer fortified with 100% vitamins and minerals (might be sweeter, too). Someone wrote on the internet that they called General Mills, and their reason was simply that they wanted it "to be more like regular Cheerios" as if people were somehow confused between the two. The real reason was probably "to save money." There was also no notice of a change on the box except for the nutrition panel, so, I'm writing this FYI.

MultiGrain Cheerios is a wonderful cereal for breakfast or really just about any other time of the day! Although it's probably not quite as healthy as General Mills would like you to believe, it's really not bad for you, either. In a 1 cup serving, it contains very little fat, no cholesterol and it has some fiber in it, too. It also has 100% of the daily recommended amounts of things like iron, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12. It does fall short on other things including Vitamins A (10% of recommended daily intake) and C (25% of recommended daily intake). You can click on the "nutrition facts" link above to find out more about what this cereal contains. Please note that this cereal does contain 6 grams of sugar per 1 cup serving, so if you need to watch your sugar intake very carefully you may want to find another breakfast cereal.

On top of what it gives you health wise, it tastes delicious without being overly sugary; and I like that. A 1 cup serving also gives you 10% of the recommended daily intake of fiber and I think that must come from the whole grain ingredients of this cereal. In addition, it's kosher if that matters to you.

Overall, if you don't have to watch your sugar and you're getting a good diet with vitamins and fiber in it already, this is a very good cereal. It's not the very healthiest but it's far from junk food and it tastes great! I recommend it.

This might be my favorite type of Cheerios (even though my husband is the Original Cheerio type fan) but with the regular Cheerios I get bored of them before I get to the bottom of my bowl! I love these because there are a few types of Cheerios in them and the flavor varies and keeps it interesting. It is a little sweet but not as sweet as the sugar cereals. I think that they're healthy too (compared to most cereals!)

I love cheerio's multi grain. Even tho is has that sweet coating.

Taste is far better than straight cheerios, but I do mix them.

Why, oh why, does General Mills think that corn should be one of the grains, is beyond me. There are far too many corn based foods in the American diet, they could have left that one out.

Otherwise, excellent. No corn, more of the other grains. How about flax ?

Ingredients label: Whole Grain Corn, Whole Grain Oats, Sugar, Whole Grain Barley, Whole Grain Wheat, Whole Grain Rice, Corn Starch, Brown Sugar Syrup, Corn Bran Salt,

Corn is FIRST, CORN starch, CORN bran salt. Three corn based products in the first nine ingredients.

General Mills used to have a cereal that was like Rice Crispies: Triple-something. I LOVED it. I'm sure it didn't meet their sales goals, but truly they didn't give it time. It too was corn, wheat and rice.

Lets leave corn for bio-fuels and get lots of it out of our diets. I truly love corn-on-the-cob; I love sweet corn; I love corn pudding, but it doesn't need to be in our cereal supply so much. General Mills? Make corn the LAST of the multi grains....I bet it would work.

While Honey Nut Cheerios are my favorite, this multigrain variety is also very tasty. These are not the healthiest of the multigrain cereals out there, but they're not terrible for you either. They are a very nice middle ground between a sugary "kids" cereal and a true whole grain cereal. They have a light, sweet glaze, and the delicious crunch typical of Cheerios. Also like all Cheerios they're beloved by toddlers and make as good a snack as they do a breakfast meal. They go really well with half a banana sliced over the top.

Bear Valley Pemmican Bars, Carob Cocoa, 3.75-Ounce Bars (Pack of 12)

Bear Valley Pemmican Bars, Carob Cocoa, 3.75-Ounce BarsI tried the carob-cocoa flavor. These are not at all sweet, even with malted grains, honey and raisins in the ingredient list. They have the texture and appearance of very dense, nutty brownies, but not a lot of chocolate flavor, rather a kind of carob/raisin/grain taste. These are for active people who want a quick, calorie-dense (440 calories per bar) meal from a bar made with natural ingredients. They are NOT weight-loss bars.

I like my coffee black and my iced tea with no sweeteners of any kind, so maybe that is why I like these bars. My wife won't drink those beverages without lots of sugar, and she HATES these bars. So, I'm guessing if you like sugar in your coffee, you should stay away from this product.

Got the idea to purchase these for a backpacking trip as a result of previous trips to Philmont. The bars were moist, but the carob is by no means chocolatey. The weight to nutrient ratio is ideal for backpacking, and in some cases can be used to replace a breakfast of lunch.

These bars gave me a stomache and indigestion. I am lactose intolerant. Nonfat milk is listed prominently as an ingredient on the package, but not on the website. This is unfortunate, because, otherwise, I think that they have a good high-caloric-density backpacking product. As for taste, on the trail, everything tastes good.

My husband tells me that these do fill him up, providing that he drinks a lot of water while chewing on one. One bar kept him full from breakfast until dinner which we eat about 5PM. He did drink a lot of water as others suggested, and he said he felt no hunger all afternoon. He is a believer that these will work for a day in the woods.

I agree with the other reviews if you want sweet this is not going to be for you. I prefer this taste to the sweeter bars so it is just right for me. Also bring water! The bars are very filling and dense. Great for hiking or any other outdoor activity.

I will be buying again.

Raw Revolution Organic

Raw Revolution Organic Coconut and Agave Bar 2.2 ozTalk about a slice of heaven! This bar tastes so delectible and scrumptious, you won't believe you are actually eating something that is vegan, healthy, natural, raw, soy-free, and all those other good things. This bar is my favorite so far of the Raw Revolution bars that I have tried. I will be buying more.

Raspberry and chocolate just sounds like heaven, and believe me, this bar is every bit as good as it sounds.

I recommend it. I think you will love it.

Pacific Natural Foods Organic Soy Non-Dairy Beverage, Original Unsweetened, 32-Ounce Containers (Pa

Pacific Natural Foods Organic Soy Non-Dairy Beverage, Original Unsweetened, 32-Ounce ContainersReceived a flat of this product on a subscription. I was hoping to save money by buying in bulk and was looking forward to the convenience of having the product shipped on a scheduled basis.

The very first carton I opened contained a thick and lumpy fluid. It did not smell bad or have a distinct taste it just was not what I expected to come out of a carton that should have contained soy milk. Yes I did shake the carton well before opening it.

The second carton was fine.

The bottom line is that the loss of one carton from the flat eliminates the whole value proposition of buying in bulk and on-line. I would avoid this brand.

Update: Score so far for the pack of 12: 3 bad 8 good. One more to go!

I really like unsweetened soy milk and I was thrilled when I saw this product on Amazon. Not only is it unsweetened, it's also organic, and you can get it for cheaper through the subscription service. It's super convenient to just get a box of 12 cartons or so every month instead of having to lug them home from the grocery store.

I did recently discontinue this subscription for two reasons. First, I saw that the regular store-brand unsweetened organic soy milk is cheaper per carton than this one (even if I factor in the subscription discount). Second, and more important, I wanted to switch to a soy milk that is fortified with certain vitamins (i.e. B12, since I don't eat animal products).

That being said, I really liked the taste of that one and the convenience of the subscription service.

I cannot tolerate milk so this soymilk is ideal for me. It's fine for coffee and in anything that will overpower it. By itself it's not that great. Ii makes awesome protein shakes: 3 cups of soymilk, 2 scoops of soy protein powder and 3 to 4 tbsp of agave gives you 20gr of protein per cup. I have no sugar spikes with this drink and my stomach is happy with it.

Pleasant taste, smooth texture, although unsweetened, has a sweeter taste than some soy milks. Great in coffee!

I have to second what Croy said, I use this with All the Whey chocolate flavored whey protein and an electric mixer every weekday morning for breakfast. 3 cups & 2 scoops is just about right, adjust to thickness preference. I prefer it to be very thick, I find it tastes better and has more protein that way. On its own this soy milk is OK.
