Earth's Best Organic 2nd Wholesome Breakfast, 4.5 Ounce (Pack of 12)

This baby food, labeled for 6+ months, contains heavy cream. My baby could not digest it; we had a very bad day. Maybe I missed that in the description, but in any case, everywhere I've read and according to my pediatrician, you're supposed to avoid cow's milk products before age 1 (why they make formula using cow's milk and not a much more digestible milk like goat baffles me and is a rant for another time--my son drinks the lactose free kind, in any case). I ordered another variety of "Wholesome breakfast" too: Pear, Apple, Oatmeal. Same thing there. I'm guessing they all have heavy cream in them.

Our nine-month-old daughter is ready for a more substantial breakfast than plain cereals. We want her to get the nutrients and vitamins she needs (especially iron), so plain fruit or vegetables aren't enough. This blend of fruit and grains (and, in some cases, yogurt) provides everything she needs for a good breakfast and keeps her full for several hours. Plus, the flavors are not overly sweet. One note: at least two of these flavors include yogurt. Some babies younger than 1-year may have a reaction to yogurt and other dairy foods, so just watch out for that.

I wish Amazon would include a list of ingredients on baby food in bulk. This has cream in it and my baby has a cow's milk intolerance. I had already opened the jar when I read the ingredients and now I'm stuck with 15 jars of food I can't use. So disappointing.

Hint Blackberry Water ( 12x16 OZ)

Hint is just that--just a tiny hint of flavor with no other enhancements. I think it defeats the purpose of water to add heavy flavors, sweeteners, etc. and Hint doesn't. Nothing artificial. Blackberry is my favorite but it comes in lots of other great flavors

Tadin Chamomile Tea 24 Bags - Te De Manzanilla

CytoSport Muscle Milk N Oats Whole Grain Oatmeal Maple Brown Sugar -- 2 oz

I had one of these this morning and was pleasantly surprised. Specs were something like 30g protein, 32g carbs, 6g fat. The consistency is a little finer/mushier than typical instant oatmeal would be, but that's to be expected with the addition of the protein. The overall taste was good though with a mild sweetness and no bitterness or aftertaste.

I wouldn't want to eat it every morning, but for those lazy mornings, it's a quick way to get some warm protein before heading out the door. I'll try the vanilla tomorrow. Can't see myself eating cocoa flavored oatmeal though, so I'll pass on that one.

Corn Pops Cereal, 12.5-Ounce Packages (Pack of 4)

I purchased this for a family member with children. I compared the price to local stores and found this to be a better deal. I will be buying more in the future.

Came about a week later, when I opened the package I noticed they squeezed the boxes of corn pops in (was kinda hard to pull out) so the edges of the cereal boxes was bent and wouldn't stand up straight on the counter but the cereal was fresh.

Glutino Gluten Free Breakfast Bars, 7.1 Ounce

Being a cherry flavor enthusiast, I had high hopes for these. My first bar was quite burned. So it tasted a bit ashy. It was chewy and not the most pleasant consistency. The cherry jelly inside was kind of tough. It reminded me more of a cookie than it did a breakfast bar.

I'm going to try warming these for 15 seconds next time, and maybe it'll soften up and be more pleasant.

I'm waiting on test results, but have been giving the GF lifestyle a shot for the past week, due to some ongoing GI issues. This is the third fruit bar I've tried; the other two were Bakery On Main Apple & Cinnamon Soft & Chewy Granola and Enjoy Life Caramel Apple Chewy On The Go Bar. Bakery On Main's was OK. Enjoy Life's was pretty nasty.

And this Glutino Cherry Breakfast Bar just blew both of them out of the water.

I have pretty much no complaints. Sweet, soft, not particularly gritty, it didn't make a crummy mess on my desk, and it didn't taste nearly as dry or unpleasant as I was expecting. It was... well, yummy!

Admittedly, I don't have much basis for comparison to other GF bars; like I said, it's only been a week. But this was pretty darned good.

PG Tips Black Tea (6 Pack)

PG is great. It comes from England so it has that bold flavor a lot of teas from here in the States lack. The bags make it very easy to make a glass and it's no-hassle. The potentcy of the flavor comes from the leaves that they use to make the bags. The top two leaves are known for being more flavorful than the rest of the plant, so that's what is used in this particular formula. I haven't found a lot of comparable teas. This is better than Lipton or generic store brands by a landslide.

If you're not a fan of the bags and you really like a very hearty flavor, the black tea mix I've found most comparable is an all-organic blend (All Natural Organic Instant Black Tea Powder 8 oz. Buy One Get One Free!) which is surprisngly bold and flavorful. I've never had another instant mix that tasted quite as good as this one. The big benefit is that it's in bulk powder form, allowing you to make more than one serving at a time or add/subtract to blend the perfect flavor. It's affordability is another plus. I love the PG but the organic is great too and it saves me a lot of money.

This is a very drinkable blend of Assam, Ceylon, and Kenyan black teas from PG Tips, one of the UK's most popular brands. Although some California grocery stores (and Cost Plus World Market) stock this tea, I had not tried it until reading helpful reviews on Amazon.

Each PG Tips bag weighs 38 percent more than the Lipton bag (that is available in the USA). As expected, PG Tips makes a stronger brew. Each PG Tips bag has so much tea that I can easily make a 12 ounce mug with a single bag. I drink my tea black, but PG Tips is clearly robust enough to maintain character with milk or sweetener.

PG Tips is a sturdy, straight-ahead blend with more strength than Lipton's. It is a caffeine-rich tea in part because each bag has more tea than other brands.

PG Tips uses a pyramid shaped bag that allows more room for tea leaves to expand while steeping. Does it make better tea? I don't know, but it is a point of differentiation.

HINT: PG Tips also makes a Special Blend black tea that is only slightly more expensive in stores. I much prefer the Special Blend to their regular black tea. The PG Tips Special Blend is a very hardy and rich breakfast tea. The Special Blend is more sensitive to longer steeping times (I usually steep mine less than 3 minutes), but I find the taste more complex and satisfying.

Cognoscenti typically prefer loose tea. Tea bags contain the less expensive "fannings" or "dust," remains from processing loose leaf tea. And with some others brands of tea (not PG Tips), many people can taste the paper used in the bag.

If you (like I) sometimes appreciate the convenience of bags, I recommend trying PG Tips as a sturdy everyday tea. And, I more strongly recommend their Special Blend as a hardy and rich breakfast tea.

Before I tasted PG Tips I was drinking Twinings Irish Breakfast (IB) tea which is quite good. However, PG Tips is as good as Twinings IB and costs just half the price. It is a blend of Assam, Ceylon and Kenyan tea. I have no clue what IB tea is, it does not say anything on the box.

I am switching to PG Tips from now.

I started drinking PG Tips when I lived in Britain in the '80s. It was a tea-house favorite. Very strong, full-flavored black tea that stands up to milk and sweetener. I'm drinking some now. Yum. It's for when I switch over from strong coffee in the afternoon, or when curling up with a good murder mystery. ;) When making iced tea, the flavor is a bit on the heavy, acidic side from the tanic acid and has to be significantly diluted.

The last batch I ordered actually got shipped over from England and their packaging is a little different from the US market. Interesting to see that the giant Unilever corporation (who owns the brand) has actually gone to the trouble of getting Rainforest Alliance certified, which is supposed to indicate sustainably produced goods.

Overall, 5 stars if you like strong, black tea.
