I'm working my way through my second 6-pack of these dried apples, Wonderful snack. Keep them on the kitchen counter so I can snag some whenever I pass through the kitchen.O.K., they "LOOK" good. Their texture is spongy & just really weird. Could not eat them raw, as they tasted terrible and did not resemble any apple I'd ever eaten. (Grew Up in Michigan) I was totally disappointed, until my husband baked a pie with them. Their texture changed & the flavor did resemble apples, but I'll never order this brand again. Also, the lids were secured with the green shrink wrap, but once opened, the lids did not fit the containers! I should have trusted the previous terrible reviews. But, they "LOOKED" good.Nestle Carnation Instant Breakfast - 22 Packets /1.26 Oz Chocolate Flavor (22 Packets)
It is about half the price at Sam's, so unless Amazon will sell 2 boxes for the $18 (approximate), it's a better buy at the wholesale clubs.
Most other products I buy at Amazon fare much better pricewise.Recently, I had dental work done and was unable to eat a whole lot of solid food and tried Carnation Instant Breakfast for the first time in my life. I was very pleased with the chocolate taste, but even more pleased to find that it actually made me fill full for several hours. Now my dental situation is back to normal and I am still utilizing the drink every morning and love it.

I've bought these in powder form for about a year now from the local grocery. They're great as both a quick breakfast or a filling snack during the day. If you're going to be burning a lot of carbs, this'll go pretty fast, so I'd recommend some sort of solid food too. Overall, delicious and filling. Can't go wrong. Each packet has 19g of sugar. I can't really imagine what 19g of sugar looks like, but when i got a box of sugar-free instant breakfast by accident once, each packet had less than half the powder in it. So, roughly half of what you're mixing into your milk is straight-up refined sugar. (Then again, watching people order coffee in the morning and load it down with sugar, maybe the sugar is part of the appeal.)
This stuff dissolves pretty quickly and easily in milk, but if you're a stickler for a zero-grit experience, you might have to add a little extra milk, or be willing to use an immersion blender to really mix it thoroughly. These are the only things I can get my husband to 'eat' for breakfast. I've tried breakfast bars, cereal, etc. they all end up coming home with him (he takes them to work).
Faithly every day he will drink this for breakfast most days he won't eat anything else until he comes home. But at least I know if he has this, he'll get something in him to help him get through the day!
I prefill Rubbermaid 3117RDSPA Litterless Juice Boxes with milk each week and he takes (and drinks!) one with the carnation to work every day.
Country Choice Organic Multi Grain Hot Cereal, 18 Ounce Canisters (Pack of 6)
I bought the Multigrain Hot Cereal the first time by accident instead of the steel cut oats but decided to try it rather than return it and was pleasantly surprised.
It contains rolled whole grain rye, barley, oats, and wheat in that order. It is a great hot breakfast on a chilly morning and a nice change from oatmeal. I like it slightly undercooked and topped with a sliced banana and raisins with a splash of milk.
As far as nutrition, a half cup has 5g of fiber!
Even if you don't like oatmeal, you might want to give this a try. This review refers to Country Choice Multi Grain Hot Cereal -
For the last few of years I have been hooked on the Irish style Steel Cut Oats. At first I was buying the McCann's, and then I stumbled onto the Country Choice(also Irish style steel cut), which I found just as tasty and satisfying a meal but at a much better deal here. The Steel Cut Oats have a very different texture from regular oatmeal creamy but a little chewier feel which I really liked and also it was a meal that kept me going until lunch time without feeling hungry. The steel cut usually takes about 25-30 minutes to prepare and I found they are well worth the wait.
So seeing these and the reviews saying how good they were, I thought I'd add a little variety to my mornings, and reap the benefits of some other type of whole grains. The first thing I found was that these only take 5 minutes max to cook, and I had to make several attempts(even following the directions) to get it to where it wasn't either still sitting in half the water or had absorbed it all before it was actually finished cooking. So getting the ratio of cereal/water part down, I still felt these grains too mushy for me if I used less water, they would cook too fast. They tasted okay just okay I thought the cereal a little on the bland side and have to add honey or something extra. With the oats I could just add some blueberries or raisins or sometimes a tiny bit of a butter substitue just to have a little variety each morning, but the truth is they (the oats) are good enough to eat without anything added at all. Also, I did not feel as satisfied with one serving of the multi-grains as I did with the oats, getting hungry a couple of hours later. So I was a little disappointed with these. I will still use these multi-grain on ocassion(they are not bad, just not as good as I thought they would be)and there is even a recipe for Applesauce Multigrain Muffins which I might try out, or use in some other baking in place of flour.
The nutritional facts are pretty close per serving; Multi grains have 1 gr fat,Oats have 3(1 of polyunsaturted, 1 of Monosaturated); Multi130 calories a serving, Oats 150; Neither have any cholesterol or sodium; oats have 1 gr of sugar, multi 0; both have 5 g's of protein; fiber 5 Multi, 4 Oats; and of course everything comes from the oats/grains themselves, nothing is added to either. Both are orgainc. Both are very healthy foods.
So I would suggest to try one carton from your grocery store first, before investing in a multi-package deal which by the way is a really good deal for both compared to my local markets.

I wanted a break from oatmeal every morning although I do love the taste and texture of real, old-fashioned oatmeal.I decided to try this and I was pretty surprised at how good it is and much I loved the texture. I do not see how you
could improve the product, as it it spot on perfect. I gave it 5 stars. This has been my breakfast for many years. A great daily nutritious source. Sometimes I mix it with the Old Fashion Oats. My local Trader Joe's carries it for $2.29, a better deal.

I have been unable to find Chocolate Malt-O-Meal for about 10 years now. I don't know why the grocery stores here in the Northwest quit carrying it. I was very excited to finally find some it is as awesome as it always was! My only dissappointment was the extra shipping and handling cost from the buyer, it was really rediculous!Read Best Reviews of Malt-O-Meal Chocolate Cereal 28 oz - 4 Unit Pack Here
Ok....so I am sure I am not alone in saying that Malt O Meal needs to bring back the chocolate flavored cereal!!!While I like the origional, I LOVED the chocolate flavor and I cant find it any longer anywhere.....it is truly depressing for me, as I love to enjoy a nice bowl of hot malt o meal after a long hard day at work, and now I no longer have any variations...only origional.
Once again...I LOVE THE CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!

Living in Minnesota 50 plus years I choose Chocolate Malto o Meal above all hot cereals! The chocolate still has a good chocolate taste and it really hits the spot before going out in 20 below weather. I have 4 children and 7 grandchildren who come to visit occasionally. My children, all born in Duluth, Minnesota make sure before they go home their suitcases are full of Chocolate Malt o Meal because they can't find it anywhere in the Cental Coast of California and now my grandchild get to enjoy this product like I did in the 1950's .Ella's Kitchen - Fruits, 3.5 Ounce (Pack of 7)
We love these breakfast pouches-they are portable, sized perfectly for kiddo hands, and offer a perfect, wholesome start to the day. All organic with 100% natural ingredients, no pesticides, no chemical fertilizers, no genetic modifications, and no preservatives. The pouches themselves are are BPA and phthalate free.
Each pouch holds a serving of organic fruit puree, natural yogurt and brown rice. The combination is tasty, satisfying, and gives kiddos a boost in the morning. We also occasionally use these as a "Dessert" at the end of the day.
You will be happy with this purchase! Some of the other Ella flavors are good, but not this one. The bananas, apricots and rice flavor was very thick. It's much thicker than the fruit and veggie puree options for 4 months. This almost needs liquid added for beginner eaters. The flavor was not good. It has a slightly bitter flavor and aftertaste. Neither my baby nor I liked this option. Also I was concerned that when I was squeezing it from it's pouch, there were air bubbles in it. It probably is fine, but since air spoils food, I did not like seeing the air in the package. I recommend Happy Baby or Plum Organics over this brand, especially for rice blends.

Great product, very tasty. I recommend any thing by this vendor. It can be difficult to find food that children want to eat, especially when babies are just starting to taste food instead of just formula. This product is great and babies love it.Read Best Reviews of Ella's Kitchen - Fruits, 3.5 Ounce (Pack of 7) Here

If you touch them they melt on contact and syrup spill over everything
If you pick them up they break and spill
If they get above fridge temp they melt and spill
If you don't take them all in one bite they melt and spill
If they break in your mouth before you suck on them they break, spill, and your mouth gets so sticky you can't open it for almost 10 seconds.
I wouldn't recommend them at all!
CytoSport Muscle Milk n' Oats
I eat tomatoes chopped up on food even though I hate them.
So after the first bite and that sudden WTF realization that this tasted nothing like apples or cinnamon I figured I would just trod through it.
My gag reflex had other plans! (I just burped and almost threw up again!)
I'd like to find what ever taste tester at Cytosport OK'd this flavor and punch him or her in the crotch!
I tried to give it to my dogs (they are the left over cleaner uppers) and they looked at me like I was holding a club in my hand!
They lick their own butts (one of the dogs used to eat from the cats' litter box) and they wouldn't come near it!
They must be smarter than me because I figured that I'd try a second container with whole milk instead of water.
So much for bigger brain=smarter.
I am going to try to feed the last four containers (uncooked) to the squirrels outside and see if they will eat it.
Have you heard the saying "anticipation of death is worse than death itself"?
Well I have six containers of their maple/brown sugar as well.
And I am not too manly to admit that I am scared, yes SCARED, to try one!
(Burped again, choking back bile!)
I just ate a piece of bread slathered in mustard to block the taste.
So in summary, AVOID THIS STUFF LIKE RAT POISON!
I may yet call the poison control hotline.
If you don't see a review of the maple/brown sugar flavor in the next week, call 911 for me!

I am a fan of the Muscle Milk Milk and Oats oatmeals by Cytosport. The product comes in several flavors of which Banana Walnut is one. The banana flavor was detectable but the walnut was understated. My preferred flavor is blueberries and cream.
Milk and Oats is in my opinion a healthy product which delivers a good amount of protein and vitamins. It provides a healthy start to any day.
One caution with this product. It took me several times making the oatmeal to make it turn out right. It takes a little more effort than add water, stir and nuke.

This stuff tastes like sweet n' low, really nasty! It doesn't mix very well, leaves a bad taste in your mouth all day, I wont buy it again. This is the worst tasting protein I have ever eaten. It is the Indiana Jones and the crystal skull of the protein world.
