Carnation Breakfast ESSENTIALS No Sugar Added Chocolate Powder, 7.05-Ounce Jar

Our 2 year old goes through a 7.05-ounce container in 2 days as this is the recommended meal per his nutritionist and he absolutely loves it. I love it as well, tastes great even without the added sugar. Unfortunately the newer container is not up to par for shipping. We have ordered over 40 containers (from Amazon and other online outlets) and the problem persists in just about every order, there will be at least of the containers that is open at the top either due to heat or poor packaging or heat, the top seal seems weak and unable to stand 'shipping and handling'. Never had this issue with the larger 8.46-ounce canisters which of course were a better value as well. Thankfully Amazon was able to rectify the issue even though they were not at fault.

I drink this at least 5 days/week. Its the best and fastest way to have breakfast during my morning commute and saves me time sitting down to eat. I mix Carnation with 2 cups of skim milk (instead of the 1 cup it recommends), heat it in the microwave, and it's my morning hot chocolate. I buy it in bulk because it is cheaper.

This is good for my diet but hey, it's sugar free. Not as good as regular carnation but I continue to buy it because mixed with almond milk, it's a low carb, high protein drink that I can afford.

The no sugar added formulation is difficult for me to find in a canister. This is a decent price, and is less than the per ounce cost of the envelopes located at my store.

I decided to go on the low GI and found that this cereal was low gi and high in fiber. I get 50% of my fiber from one bowl of this and don't have to worry about the usual added (or hidden) sugar or sweeteners that is in many other cereals that say they are healthy like fiber one. Also, this tastes very good!

I found this cereal accidentally at a local store and I am hooked.

The barley malt adds a hint of sweetness so the cereal isn't boring, but the whole grains and flax seeds make it good for you, and it's full of fiber and beneficial fats. If you're not comfortable with such a large order, pick up a box at a local store -and come back to Amazon for the bulk discount.

I wish that this cereal came in larger packages, as 10 ounces is only five servings. Also, Amazon seems to have problems shipping them without crushing the tops of the boxes.

I purchased a box from wal-mart, not really paying too much attention to the nutritional facts at first. After my first bowl (with strawberries on top), I was hooked. I looked at what was actually in the stuff, and it was INCREDIBLY healthy, especially in a time where most cereals are loaded with synthetic ingredients and tons of sugar.

I eat this cereal daily because it's natural and nutritious, has plenty of fiber (10 grams per serving), and is very filling. Unfortunately, the taste and texture is a lot like cardboard. However, adding 1/2 cup of fresh/frozen fruit and 1 teaspoon of raw sugar makes it much more palatable (even delicious), without making it unhealthy. After eating this for breakfast, I find it easier to get through my day without snacking.

Strawberry Rhubarb Jam 10oz

This was the second product from Barry Farms I've tried and I was not disappointed. The jam definitely hits the spot when spread on a slice of toast. Move over grape jelly, Barry Farms' Strawberry Rhubarb jam is my new love!

Thank you for taking the time to make this jam and making it available to consumers... not many people know about rhubarb, let alone that it can be used in jams, as well as pies and cobblers. My dad grew rhubarb every year while I was growing up... quite a special treat!

San Francisco Bay Coffee OneCup for Keurig K-Cup Brewers, Rainforest Blend

I decided to give the San Francisco Bay Rainforest Blend Organic Arabica onecup a try this morning.

When I open the box I notice a similar smell as the Fog Chaser blend but not nearly as strong.

Oddly I find the description on the Box exactly the same as that of Fog Chaser.

Their Website shows this as Reguler Full city Roast and describes it as follows :

Our certified organic, Rainforest Blend is an artful mix of coffees from Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala, and Indonesia that produces a smooth, yet full-bodied taste with lively acidic notes.

The onecup brews perfectly in my B70 and like it smelled befor brewing produced a more delicate cup than the fog chaser but still very flavorful when brewed.

Maybe this is the same blend of coffee beans only roasted alittle lighter?

The wife and I tend to favor the Dark Roast extra bold Kcups and on occasion Medium roasts as well.

This Rainforest Blend is alittle light for me but it's really flavorful and wins me over all the same.

So far I'm really liking these offerings from Rogers Family company and would purchase them again if the price remains competitive to Kcups.

I was originally concerned by the fact they are not individually sealed for freshness.

The wife and I normally drink 2 cups a day so we can polish off a box of 12 in three days once opened so the coffee does not lose much freshness.

The downside is we need to drink only these for three days in a row instead of mixing it up depending on how we feel each day as we currently do with Kcups if we want to keep them as fresh as possible.

As the other reviewers have said, this is not a K-cup! I uploaded an image of one of these pods next to a K-cup for comparison. The difference is the filter is exposed in these pods as opposed to being fully sealed in a K-cup. Since the coffee is exposed to the air when you open the package, you will have to seal them with a clip or put them in an airtight bag or tupperware to prevent the rest of the pods from loosing freshness. Having said that, in my experience they are a great inexpensive alternative to use in your Keurig brewer. The 36 count boxes arrived as unmarked brown cardboard boxes, not the colorful retail packaging shown on amazon. Inside each cardboard box, there are three clear heavy duty plastic bags, each of which holds 12 of the pods. The bags are not resealable!

Local BJs had this on sale for $28 per 80 cups. Thought It would be worth a shot. Well, after getting it home, I was pleasantly surprised on a couple notes.

First, the coffee is delicious. Good body, bright flavor. Really nice cup of coffee. (I don't use cream or sugar.)

The second surprise is that the K-cups aren't full cups. Plastic is only used for the rim to provide rigidity so the cup will hold up under the pressure of the brewer. My guess us that they use about 66% less plastic less waste, less mess for the landfill. Aside from the rim, there is the filter material, which seems to be a better filter than in the full plastic cups.

Finally, I've used the Eco-Cups over the years and really liked them, because I could use my own coffee. The only problem is that cleaning them is not easy. I had tried the MyCaps so I could refill the original K-cups with my own coffee. While they worked well, cleaning the cups was messy (hence switching to the Eco-Cups). These cups work GREAT with the MyCaps, since they are so easy to clean out and not messy at all. Instead of trying to rinse out the used coffee, I now just peel the foil, and push the used coffee into into a container so I can compost it. Then, with a simple rinse, it's ready to refill and pop on a MyCap and brew again. What's great is that the coffee, itself is excellent and you can reuse the filters over and over with your own coffee. Now, I keep a box of this coffee around for when I don't have time to do a refill, and refill when I want a little variety. Best of both worlds.

By the way, refilling them with the same grind-your-own, whole bean coffee also saves money (a lot of it). You can do that by buying San Francisco Bay 100% Organic Coffee Rainforest Blend Whole Bean 3 Lbs from Amazon. How can you go wrong?

Before we moved to our current location, I use to buy these bars at a local health food store. I haven't found them locally where we are now so I was pleased to find them at Amazon. I like to take these bars to work for lunch or take them when I am traveling. When I am on the road I have had them for breakfast as well. I like the taste and they are really filling and curb your hunger for some time, although I often have a little something else with them at lunch. They keep well, do not require refrigeration, and are just so convenient. You would need to try them for yourself to see if you like the flavor and texture but I like them very much. I was introduced to Pemmican bars at Philmont Scout Ranch. Specifically the cocoa karob. I ate pretty well when the kids I was with turned up their noses at these bits of real food. The cocoa karob, specifically, was just too far removed from the candy they wanted in a bar. This was food.

These things rock. It's really a food bar, though they get lumped with energy bars a lot. They have a ton of complex carbs, good fats, fruits, fibers, food, etc. lumped into a hunk that you can easly find room for in a backpack. Then, provided you have enough water to get some portion of it down... you're good to go.

The flavor is not very exciting, and the bars are very dense. The fruit and nut is fairly sweet, but not what I would call a fruit bar. I prefer the cocoa karob, which is less sweet and seems to have less of the malty flavors going on in the fruit and nut.

I've taken these for ultra trail runs that had no aid stations. They are a must on backpacking trips. I grab them when I need food during the day, but am not going to get a full meal in. I can eat these fairly regularly without getting too tired of them, and unlike all the other bars out there, when I eat a Pemmican bar I feel like I have eaten something. I feel full, and ready to move on.

Bob's Red Mill 7 Grain Cereal

I use Bob's Red Mill 7 Grain cereal in a really good recipe. I add in different kinds of dried fruits and cook it in my crock pot. When I wake up in the morning I have yummy hot cereal. I can't find this product in any store around me. I am so glad Amazon.com found it for me. Thank you!

High Fiber, moderate protein and authentic texture. Full of healthy nutrients. This is a great base hot cereal. You can add brown sugar, peanut butter, fruits, protien powder and you would stay full for hours. This is not a instant cereal, so I would advise microwaving the bowl or stove top cooking, over pouring hot water over the dry cereal. Great for weightloss
