Plum Organics Training Meals Baby Food - Pasta with Chicken & Vegetables - 4 oz pouch

The product itself is wonderful we usually buy it from Whole Foods. It is perfect even for older babies with just a dash of salt. However, do NOT buy this version. The description didn't specify the number of items, but at nearly $7 (more than 3x the cost at Whole Foods for one), I thought one could safely assume it would be more than one pouch. Low and behold ONE pouch showed up. That too, the package looks dirty and though it isn't expired yet, it definitely isn't as fresh as the ones from Whole Foods. I'm really disappointed with this purchase and will try to return it.

I ordered these for my son for something new and he ate about 5 bites then refused the rest. We switched to a different flavor and he devoured 2 jars, so obviously there's something about this he does not like. He eats table food plus baby food and is 12 months, not sure where this went wrong but it's the first thing he's refused to eat.

I usually buy the plum organics pouch foods as I love the organic and simple ingredients. I bought this one day expecting the same only to read the label when I got home to find that it contains Citric Acid. This is bad for children's teeth and ultimately digestive system so if you feed this to your baby daily you might want to reduce.

I completely disagree with the previous review. This food is a perfect consistency for a "Training Meal" as its labeled. I starting feeding this to my daughter at 8 months and she has never had an issue. She is a great eater and has loved a variety of foods, but this is her hands down favorite. She will eat the entire pouch without a bit of prodding. I have have fed her dozens of these pouches and I have never seen a lump even as big as a Cheerio. Its a great quality food.

The quality and taste of this product are excellent! However, use caution when you feed your baby (which goes without saying). This is labeled as a "starter" meal, but for some babies it may actually take some sophistication to tell the difference between regular pureed food and slightly lumpy food (like this) that needs more chewing. My 11-month old baby is good with finger foods, so I was looking for something intermediate to give him to add some texture and variety. A few bites into this food, he gagged on the lumps and threw up everywhere! This product is smooth enough to fool a baby into thinking it's like regular baby food, but just lumpy enough to catch in the throat. I may try this food again in the future, and I'll try the smooth versions of the brand because I like the quality, but some babies may need more practice before eating the "starter meal" type.

Familia Original Swiss Baby Muesli, 8.8-Ounce (Pack of 6)

I began looking for this product from Amazon after my local WFMs stopped carrying it and I wasn't able to find it anyplace else in my home area. Many years ago, perhaps as many as 40, I used to buy and enjoy the Original Familia Swiss Muesli, based on the recipe of Doctor Bircher-Benner. A few years later, I moved to a remote location where it was difficult to find Familia for sale. When I returned to "civilization" again, I discovered that the Familia company had seemingly changed their recipe; it was no longer the same texture that I had remembered from before. It was as if they had removed the finest particles of the cereal or whatever it was that had quickly absorbed the milk, and seemed also to be a higher percentage of rolled oats. As a result, the muesli took longer to soften to the desired consistency and just didn't have the same feel in the mouth.

When I discovered Familia Original Baby Muesli a few years ago, its blend of fine ingredients reminded me of what was missing from the "new" Familia formulation. I quickly found that I could mix the Baby Familia with the "adult" Familia (in about a one to two proportion) and approximate what I recall as the original cereal blend. I now enjoy Familia Muesli cereal the way I remember it.

If buying it here in quantities of six boxes at a time, I suggest storing the extra in the freezer or refrigerator.

We have searched and searched for this cereal! My kids have both eaten it several times a week from about 6-8 months in age and my oldest is now 4 and still adores it! So quick and so healthy. When they were little, I mixed it with breast milk and now just with regular cold milk. Can be made with soy, cow's milk, almond milk whatever your preference as it alters the flavor a little. Its naturally sweetened with the fruit and seems to fill them up well! We have had to search it out and special order through Whole Foods and I have regularly stalked amazon hoping to do a subscribe and save! So thrilled to see its finally in stock!

Apparently, I ate it as a baby too!

I began using this when my daughter was about a year old to get a little more fiber in her diet. I use it to make a smoothie drink, mixing 1/3 cup with milk and 1/2 container of a Gerber baby food fruit ( makes about 1 1 1/4 cups altogether), heat it and serve. Well, she's now 7 and that is still her breakfast which she asks for everyday. I panicked a few months ago when I was told the company had stopped making the product. Amazon was out so I found it from a vendor online and paid almost 3 times as much as on Amazon. Very grateful Amazon has it now and for a reasonable price. Who knows, I may need it til she's grown!

Fantastic World Foods Hummus Original, 10 Pound Bag

As another poster said, is it as good as homemade not quite BUT, it's VERY, VERY good and extremely simple to prepare a delicious and super quick meal with absolutely no mess!

I didn't have any fresh olive oil, so I made it without it and it's good, too! I also made a batch with extra tahini in place of the oil, that's great too! Cannot wait to experiment with this and add more things to it.

Over all, EXCELLENT product!

I was very happily surprised. The hummus tastes wonderful. I also like adding my own touch ever so often. It makes a fantastic base for Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Sun Dried Tomato Hummus, Roasted Garlic Hummus, Black Olive Hummus, and more. It also tastes incredible simply prepared with out the extra frills. The flavors are rich, spicy, and really well rounded, and it is the only mix that tastes much like the Hummus I make from scratch. Do I intend to buy more? Probably in double. I eat it a lot. I fully suggest that if you enjoy Hummus, this is the Hummus mix for you. Buy It and you won't be sorry.

Ingredients: Precooked dehydrated garbanzo bean flour, sesame tahini, salt, dehydrated garlic, extra virgin olive oil, spices, sea salt, citric acid, lemon juice powder (maltodextrin, citric acid, tocopherol), toasted sesame oil, lemon oil, rosemary extract.

I was very upset to find that this is the real ingredient list, where online the original humus has a different list and they advertised this as gluten free. I can not eat matlodextrin as it is often times derived from wheat, making it unreasonable that they can call this product gluten free. I didn't get the real list until it shipped to my house and now I cannot return it. Thus I am stuck with 10lbs of inedible product.

Know what you are buying before you buy. If you are gluten/wheat intolerant you should rethink buying this.
