Rise and Shine Breakfast Gift Set
I bought this gift for my coworker. He's never cooked before and I gave this to him for Christmas, so he can cook breakfast for his wife. He surprised his wife one Sunday morning and made pancakes for her. He said it was easy and delicious. The cooking directions were simple enough for a person who doesn't live in the kitchen and the jam/syrup was the best he's ever had. His wife is very happy!!!

Nature's Path Organic Toaster Pastries, Berry Strawberry (Not Frosted), 6-Count Boxes (Pack of 12)
It is a cut above your usual PoptartIt does not contain high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, artificial colors or flavors, or any other additives. It even has organic ingredients and some whole wheat content! HOWEVER, I would not make these any more than an occasional treat. It does still contain 18 grams of sugar, and most of it is NOT from fruit. There is also only 1 gram of fiber, and only 3 grams of protein. It wouldn't hurt for the whole wheat content to be bumped up a little, and it wouldn't even be noticeable if white whole wheat flour was used, or some other healthy flour. The current combination will put your blood sugar on a roller coaster. It also has a lack of added vitamins, which is one of the only good points of other Poptarts.As for the taste, it is pretty intense. You can really taste the strawberry! It's nice and slightly chewy, although not annoying, rubbery or tough. It sort of reminds me of a soft sugar cookie in terms of texture. Try it yo'self, and see what you thinkIt's still healthier than your average Poptart.

These pastries aren't as sweet as Pop Tarts, very true. I find (and I'm talking unfrosted) that I prefer tasting the strawberry stuff and the pastry stuff rather than the sugar stuff. This is a concept that takes some getting used too; but it's really not all that difficult.
Not that these Nature's Path goodies aren't sweet; but they aren't as sweet, so sweet your mouth feels like it wants to go immediately to the dentist after you eat one.
Shall we mention that these just may be better for you? Well, I'm no nutritionist, so let's leave that part to the scientists in the crowd.I stopped eating pop-tarts because of all the junk that was in them (hydrogenated oils, artificial colors, etc).
I tried these and wow! They are actually better tasting than pop-tarts. They still have the rich buttery crust, but their filling is actual fruit, and tastes incredible.
These look exactly the same as pop-tarts, right down to the foil wrapper and little grooves on the back of the pastry. They have organic ingredients though, and no hydrogenated oils, white flour, or artificial colors.
This doesn't make them completely "healthy" (these are still over 1/3 sugar by weight), but for an occasional snack they are awesome.This is the closest to 100% organic of all companies and they work on bringing the price down for competition.
all Nature Path products are great!I am currently 6 months pregnant and have been craving pop-tarts my entire pregnancy but I do not want to put all the junk that's in regular brand "pop-tarts" into my body. I looked all over for a healthier alternative that was UNFROSTED (I hate frosting) at my local stores but no one had them. After finding these on Amazon I ordered them directly from Natures Path because I wanted to make sure I liked them before committing to the 6 pack of boxes.
I just had my first one straight from the toaster and it was delicious!!! It tasted so much better than an actual pop-tart. To me pop-tarts always left a greasy taste in my mouth. While these are by no means a healthy snack food, they actually taste like real food. They do not taste like grease and chemicals but actual food and they contain MUCH better ingredients for mine and my baby's health than the typical pop tarts you find in store. I won't feel guilty about eating these from time to time and they totally satisfied my craving!

We first tried Kodiak Cakes over 10 years ago, then moved to a different state and lost track of the yumminess, but found them again about 6 months ago and they are an absolute staple in our home! I love the whole wheat goodness and use the mix to make waffles all the time. They are far and away better than any other pancake/waffle mix I've tried, and they use whole grains & no preservatives. To be truthful I have never ever liked pancakes, flapjacks, or waffles. They just never tasted any good and always left my mouth with a funky aftertaste. After hearing some raving reviews about Kodiak Cakes I decided to give them a try. I was surprised by how delicious they tasted! Seriously, I usually am a big fan of toppings on everything, but with Kodiak Cakes I prefer them simple with just a little butter and maple syrup because I don't want to cover up their amazing taste!Not only are they scrumptious but I love that they are wholegrain and made with real food ingredients. As a RD in training, I definitely recommend Kodiak Cakes for an easy pancake fix.

Unfortunately, as with many other reviewers' experiences, I received only one box instead of the five that are stated as coming in the order. I contacted Amazon and they quickly sent me five new boxes at no charge, but it seems like this is an ongoing problem that certainly needs to be addressed. While Amazon gets a thumbs-up for their quick fix and good customer service, I shouldn't have had to request a new order in the first place.

I purchased a case of Tropico's after seeing them advertised on a gluten free blog. I was skeptical but once I received them (very quickly I might add) I was not disappointed. The texture is virtually identical to the gluten-fruit loop version. They have a nice sugar coating and are very colorful. The flavors are all natural so its obviously NOT identical to the traditional version's flavors but you can avoid all of the chemicals and colorings so its really a bonus. This cereal tastes great. The colors aren't quite as bold as what is shown on the box, but it uses natural food colorings, so I could really care less. I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars only cause it's so expensive and the box is a little bit smaller than a normal cereal box. If it were bigger or less expensive, I would have given it 5 stars. But otherwise it tastes great. Also, I ordered this and it's supposed to be 5 boxes of cereal in the order, I only received 1 box. I contacted Amazon and they actually overnighted me a whole new shipment of 5 boxes, that arrived on a Saturday morning. Great customer service! Thanks!
