Blue Diamond Chocolate Almond Breeze Unsweetened ( 12x32 OZ)

Blue Diamond Chocolate Almond Breeze UnsweetenedI like these containers because you don't have to refridgerate until after you open them. They are more expensive than in the grocery store but, if you can't get out, it is great that Amazon has this option. AND, I, unlike what I thought, love almond milk!

Quaker Instant Oatmeal Fruit & Cream, Variety Pack, 10-Count Boxes (Pack of 6)

Quaker Instant Oatmeal Fruit & Cream, Variety Pack, 10-Count BoxesI eat oatmeal almost every morning in the fall and winter, this is by far my favorite variety pack. I stock up when it is on sale because I can go through a box a week. The variety pack is nice because it keeps it from getting monotonous. Peaches and cream is the tastiest and nothing beats hot oatmeal after shoveling snow or walking the dog.

Our house goes through at LEAST 2 full boxes of these individually wrapped bowls of Oatmeal per week. My stepsons wolf through 2-4 packs per morning, though they will consume any oatmeal put before them... they fight over the fruit and cream so we tend to stick to boxes of that.

Often they mix and match, dumping a packed of bananas and cream in with a packet of strawberries and cream. I don't mind, two growing little boys can eat as much oatmeal as they want in our house. You couldn't ask for them to eat a more healthy snack. The other thing that is nice is that my 7 year old can make his own. So on Saturday mornings when he's up before the rooster crows, he can come down and make his own oatmeal while he waits for everyone else to get up.

For the adults, Oatmeal still tastes great, and requires a lot less work then I remember my mom going through when I was little. It's excellent for your health and can actually lower your cholesterol.

What a disappointment!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought peaches and strawberries flavor in my grocery store because they were on sale. I noticed they were the most expensive ones there so I figured that must be the best there is. How wrong was I. First thing that hit me was how sweet they were. I could barely finish eating. Then I looked at the label and found far too many artificial ingredients. But that's not all. I noticed that peaches and strawberries are strangely similar in taste and shape. After reading a label I found out that they do not even put real strawberries and peaches in the oatmeal. Can you believe that? The most expensive oatmeal on the market and no real fruit. What they do is they put artificially flavored apples in there. Company with such experience in oatmeal making can't afford to give its customers REAL FRUIT? What a shame. I will never buy any of their products. Never!. Oh just to compare what there is available on the market please visit Traders Joe. I found blueberry flavor with REAL blueberries, cranberry with REAL cranberries. So it is possible to make a great product you just have to make an effort QUAKER and stop fooling your customers.

I got these when I lived at a student apartment, had no car, and the closest grocery store was over a mile down the road. So it was nice to order my favorite food in bulk and just go the mail room and pick it up.

This assortment is a great alternative to the same flavors over and over again. I do find that they arent as filling as others but I think that has to do with the "cream" aspect. I gave all the peaches away as I don't like peach but everything else is delicious. I was also pleased to see that there are not many more calories in these as the regular flavors

Erin Baker's Ultra Protein Granola Power Crunch,Peanut Butter n'Honey 12-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 6)

Erin Baker's Ultra Protein Granola Power Crunch,Peanut Butter n'Honey 12-Ounce PouchesI absolutely love granola! And this stuff is great. I'm a runner and I love the fact that this granola not only taste great, but has the added protein, which you don't normally find in granola. I can't find it locally so I always buy it from Amazon and in fact subscribe to have it delivered on a regular basis. On a side note, my 3 year old daughter loves it as well! Enjoy!!

This product is wonderful. Very tasty! Good price. Hard to find anywhere in the stores and when I did, it was almost $2 more a bag, than I paid on Amazon.com.

I recently began a weight loss program and found this in a TJMaxx (of all places). I wanted something that would make yogurt taste better. This more than met my requirement. It's fantastic!!! Now my morning yogurt tastes like I am having dessert for breakfast. I was really happy to find it through a google search at Amazon and I just placed my first subscribe and save order. Now I can keep it everywhere!

I was not sure how a peanut butter granola would be with my yogurt or as a cereal but I was more than pleasantly surprised. The flavor is mild in the peanut butter category, small in cluster size and not too hard or soft. Excellent!

This is an excellent, nutty tasting granola. I would especially recommend for those who don't want to bite into pieces of nuts. The pack of 6 doesn't last long in my house.

Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Non-Dairy Hot Cereal, Cranberry Almond Made With Organic Power Grains,

Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Non-Dairy Hot Cereal, Cranberry Almond Made With Organic Power Grains, 3.1-Ounce CupsI guess I'm in the minority in saying that I love the large size of this product :) I normally would make 2 "servings" as described on box of oatmeal or two packets from a box -so this product is perfect sizing for me! 320 calories doesn't seem like an overly large calorie amount either. Even if you were a smaller person and only consuming 1200 calories a day, this would only be 1/4 of your daily calorie needs, and a very healthy 1/4 of your calories it would be.

This is lightweight and easy to throw in a bag and bring to work just add boiling water, or add tap water and microwave and let steep.

I like the occasional sweetness of the cranberries and the occasional crunch of the almonds. It's pleasant without being too sweet. It's also got 8 grams of fiber in a cup.

If you're trying to decide between flavors, I found this tastier than the hot apple cinnamon variety cereal from McDougall.

I love this meusli. So easy to make and "sticks to your ribs" til lunchtime. Tasty as can be. It is awful big, and I often wonder why they make it in the bigger cups instead of the smaller sizes. Still, I usually eat half and keep the other half in the refrigerator for the next day. A spritz of water, and microwave for a minute, stir and it's just as good as the first day.

This stuff also hits the spot when I get the munchies watching t.v. at night. It's sweet enough to hit the sweet spot.

I typically hate instant oatmeal. I often slave over steel-cut varieties, because all of the instant stuff seems to be mushy and lacking in texture and taste.

This is the exception. The oatmeal is thick and has a great texture, and it is chock-full of delicious, real cranberries.

The only thing is there are over 300 calories per cup! I don't think that the ingredients of the oatmeal are to blame; it's because the portion it makes is pretty big! However, if you are not counting calories or if you need a filling breakfast, you'll love this.

Read Best Reviews of Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Non-Dairy Hot Cereal, Cranberry Almond Made With Organic Power Grains, Here

Great oatmeal taste with hint of tanginess from the cranberries. Clean, classic and convenient. Perfect for on-the-go and for travel. For instant oatmeal it's superior. I don't even follow the main directions to add water then microwave it; I just add hot boiled water, wait anywhere from 5-10 minutes and it's perfect.

It's a tad sweeter than I prefer (I tend to have a lower tolerance for sweetness than the average person), so I just add more water past the line and it still has a decently thick/gooey consistency; I just have to wait closer to 10 mins. But at least this isn't as sweet as the Quaker Instant Oatmeal or other/generic brands.

Of the reviews that say the taste is bad; what?! I have to assume they must not like hot cereal or oatmeal to begin with...? Because I have to say I'm impressed with McDougall's so far. It even resembles steel-cut oatmeal. Will definitely subscribe from now on.

Very tasty and nutritious, especially if left to thicken after adding boiling water or soy milk. Just the right amount of cranberries in it. No guilt because it's got 0 fat but lots of good stuff.

Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Whole Grain Rolled Oats -- 32 oz

Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Whole Grain Rolled Oats -- 32 ozUnfortunately this product has a stale taste and a bad gluten reaction to my celiacs disease. It's not my choice is eating fr breakfast because it's hard to mask it's taste of "shelf" with sweeteners and spices.

I first thought my gluten reaction was an accident but after the fourth time eating this and suffering from sinus pain, migraines, and neck pain, I was very disappointed.

I received a package of Bob's Extra Thick Rolled Oats -not what I ordered and not what was pictured on the seller's page. This one is made in a facility that processes wheat. It has a little sticker attached (covering the bar code) that includes the words "Gluten Free", but am I to believe that? I wasn't born yesterday! Back it goes... The picture is of BOB'S GLUTEN FREE OATS. However, the package is of regular oats with a sticker applied on the bag that says gluten free. WHAT THE HELL? We all know that oats are NATURALLY gluten free, but without the gluten free certification we do not know THEY HAVE NOT BEEN CONTAMINATED W/GLUTEN IN THE MILLING PROCESS. I AM DISGUSTED BY THE MISLEADING SALE. YOU PICTURED ONE ITEM, BUT YOU SOLD ME A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ITEM. I FEEL 100% DECEIVED.

Emerald Nuts Deluxe Mixed Nuts, 10-Ounce Canisters (Pack of 4)

Emerald Nuts Deluxe Mixed Nuts, 10-Ounce CanistersI have been buying Emerald Deluxe Mixed Nuts for quite a while now and have never encountered a bad or a stale nut. I buy the 10 oz size because it's just right to pour into a bowl when company comes. If they aren't all eaten, just pour back into the container and they'll stay fresh for quite a while. I love Emerald's mixture of walnuts, almonds, cashews, pecans--AND NO PEANUTS! Peanuts are legumes, not true nuts, and don't belong in a cocktail nut mixture. To me, they overwhelm the taste of "real" nuts. Sure, these cost a little more, but aren't you worth it? I know I am!

I LOVE this Deluxe Nut Mix! I happened to make the purchase because I had a $1.00 coupon. Better than Planters and yaaay! No peanuts! As others have mentioned, I did notice the "mystery" nut yummy and not hard like the roasted almonds in other mixes. Since there was a review which expressed concern that it was an apricot kernal, I called Diamond Foods today. The mystery nut is a Marcona Almond. (If you google Marcona almond, you'll see pics as well). Donna in Consumer Relations told me they used to just have the marconas, but they are a more expensive gourmet nut so now they have two types of almonds. She also noted that they receive lots of calls regarding the "mystery" nut.

I did suggest that given that so many consumers have noticed it and it seems to really make this type of impression, perhaps they should specifically list it in the ingredients or just note it in the description on the label somewhere.

So no apricot kernals. :)

I purchased these as a healthy choice. I'm concerned about the last ingredient "natural flavoring." I don't need natural flavoring on my nuts. I wouldn't have purchased them if I had known this prior to making the purchase. Initially I was thinking that these were the most delicous nuts on earth now I know why, they are altered by something they call natural. There's no phone number on the container? but there is an email address. I will update this after I hear from them.

Life Cereal Cinnamon, 15-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)

Life Cereal Cinnamon, 15-Ounce BoxesThis is one of my family's favorite cereals. Even my son likes it, and that's saying a lot. It's light and crunchy, full of cinnamon flavor with just a touch of sweetness.

Low in fat and calories, sugar is not too bad in my book (that's always debatable depending on who you ask, but I don't think 8 grams per serving is horrible). It even contains fiber and protein and 9 vitamins and minerals.

We love this cereal for breakfast, or any time we need a quick on the go snack in a bag.

per 3/4 cup serving:

Calories 120

total fat 1.5 grams

protein 3 grams

fiber 2 grams

sugars 8 grams

total carbohydrate 25 grams

I am intolerant to High Fructose Corn Syrup and Life is one of the few cereals that I can find that doesn't contain HFCS.

Queen Ann Cordial Cherries Dark Chocolate

Queen Ann Cordial Cherries Dark ChocolateI bought these are Walmart at Christmas time because they were only like 95 cents. As far as taste goes they tasted just like any other Chocolate covered syrup filled cherry, but they fell apart so easy.

If you touch them they melt on contact and syrup spill over everything

If you pick them up they break and spill

If they get above fridge temp they melt and spill

If you don't take them all in one bite they melt and spill

If they break in your mouth before you suck on them they break, spill, and your mouth gets so sticky you can't open it for almost 10 seconds.

I wouldn't recommend them at all!

Nature's Path Organic Heritage Flakes Cereal, 32-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)

Nature's Path Organic Heritage Flakes Cereal, 32-Ounce BagsIf you're looking at this bulk item, chances are you already know you like the cereal, so I'll skip trying to explain what it tastes like, and tell you about what you'll get and how you'll get it.

The package you get is a pretty big Amazon box with another cardboard box inside it--that inner box is manufacturer packaging/shipping material which holds the 6 bags of cereal. You can open that box as normal by cutting the packing tape, or the box has perforations so grocery stores (the obvious intended recipients) can rip off the side & top of the box, making what the box calls a "presentation display", I guess because the bags, lacking their own boxes, might not stand on end by themselves. So you get the package Nature's Path sends to grocery & health food stores, and I guess that's the way Amazon does it with most of their grocery stuff.

This was my first Amazon grocery order. The flakes didn't seem to be damaged from their trip. The flakes on this product are pretty hard and small anyway, which I'm sure helps. Looking at the six bags of cereal (I cut the packing tape instead of doing the "display" rip-out), you kind of wonder to yourself and say, "That doesn't look like x amount of dollars worth of cereal". But cereal boxes are packaged so inefficiently, that part of it is an optical illusion. I was able to fill up my refillable cereal container and still have maybe 1/4 of the bag left. One of these bags (32oz) is a little more than two of the "box" versions (13oz).

I'll probably close and maybe even re-tape the box while I deplete my mass quantities to keep any curious pests out.

While I did get this econo-bag version over the smaller 6-boxes version in order to save money, buying online in itself was not in order to save money. As two reviewers so far have noted, Whole Foods (when they have them) will sell these bags individually or in bulk for a little less. However, that's probably the only reasonably-priced thing in the whole building, as one of my friends calls the place "Whole Paycheck", and which is why I don't shop there anymore (that... and also because I moved to a state where they don't have them!).

So getting to a store which actually stocks this cereal is difficult to me. Amazon's free shipping mitigates the price to where it's at least a fair price: close or even with whatever else your best deal would be, especially if you factor in gasoline to make a special trip. You might end up saving money, but for me it's a time and fuel saver, without paying more. Yes, I had to purchase a lot, but it WILL get eaten, even if it takes me a looong time. The upside is that I'm not gonna run out anytime soon! I haven't had this cereal for a year, since I moved! I really missed it!

Further product info: it took me awhile to figure out the difference between Nature's Path "Heritage" and "8 Grain" cereals. They look and taste similar, and have very similar ingredients. The biggest difference (in my book) is the use of Kamut for Heritage. Kamut is essentially a "proprietary" grain, supposedly an extinct form of durum wheat obtained from ancient tombs in Egypt. This is disputed by some, who believe it's a "landrance", or regional variation, kind of like how a border collie is still a collie, not a whole new breed. Regardless, the importance to many consumers is the lack of genetic modification. But Kamut planting is strictly licensed, and it's only allowed to be grown organically, so there are extra costs and controls involved--in other words, it's more expensive, or at least more involved, for cereal makers to make stuff using Kamut than just buying wheat off the open market. Interestingly, Nature's Path charges exactly the same amount for both cereals. So, all other things being equal, I choose "Heritage" over "8 Grain" because of the Kamut. Further comparison: 8 Grain has rice and corn, which I consider to be almost fillers, especially rice. Heritage has neither, but has Spelt AND Quinoa, both very nice grains in my view. 8 Grains is heavier on oats.

AMAZON DOESN'T LIST MILLET IN THE INGREDIENTS, but it is in there (a good thing) (it is listed in 8 Grain). Millet is an underrated grain, too often associated only with cheap birdseed. 8 Grain also has Buckwheat; Heritage doesn't. Because of the near-equal tradeoffs, I used to buy both 8 Grain and Heritage locally, and mix them together. Bulk-buying on Amazon precludes this at the moment. Either way, you can't lose. I see Amazon sells a puffed Millet cereal; it's cheap and I might 'spike' my mix with that. I also hear Amaranth will pop like popcorn; I don't know if that would work for cereal, too.

Heritage/8 Grain are not as sweet as traditional cereals, and it takes about 2 seconds to get used to that, and after that i find myself wishing it were even less sweet (cane juice is the second ingredient in Heritage, but the fourth ingredient in 8 Grain).

This product has the benefits of organic whole grains and environmentally responsible packaging, but it's also my favorite cereal flavorful and super crunchy even if left in milk for a while.

Buy Nature's Path Organic Heritage Flakes Cereal, 32-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6) Now

This cereal meets three major criteria:

1. It is low in sugar no longer a kid and hate cereal that is too sweet.

2. Stays crunchy the best flaked cereal I have found for staying crunchy in milk, maybe because the flakes seem a little heartier/thicker than standard flakes.

3. Taste last but not least, too many of the healthier flakes taste like cardboard, but this cereal is so good I can eat it right out of the bag like a snack.

This cereal is one item in my ultimate breakfast cereal mix. The other ingredients are Kashi's 7 Whole Grain Puffs, dried cranberries, pecans, and flax seed. With Heritage & Kashi combined you get all the following grains in one breakfast:

1. Spelt

2. Quinoa

3. Kamut

4. Millet

5. Buckwheat

6. Triticale

7. Rye

8. Red Winter Wheat

9. Barley

10. Oats

11. Brown Rice

12. Sesame Seeds

Then I add the following to the bowl:

13. Flax Seeds about a tablespoon

14. Pecans about 2 tablespoons

15. Dried Cranberries about 2 tablespoons

Then if you really want to go full-on healthy try Better Than Milk Original Flavor Vegan Soy Beverage, the best soy milk out there...see my review of it.

We love heritage flakes, not too sweet and not too bland and oatey. The texture is great too, not rough and thin like some raisin brans. It holds up well if you let them soak in the milk because you have to chase down a child. They are the perfect source for whole grains.

We love buying them from Amazon too because we save so much. We live in Chicago. The only place you can find them is at Whole Foods, already a huge markup. Add to that Chicago city taxes and you end up paying 1/3 more. Plus WF sometimes doesn't even have them or has them only in the smaller size. Amazon doesn't run out. Its subscription program automatically sends us the bulk size every few months. Great deal! Great program!

I've eaten them for years and have lost tons of weight, even though they're not a diet cookie. I just substitute one for my breakfast. They are loaded with fiber and satisfy you for hours. They're great to have in an emergency when you can't or don't have time to eat. I haven't had any flavor that I don't like, but the chocolate chunk raisin is my favorite.
