Heinz Beans in Tomato Sauce, 13.7-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12)

Heinz Beans in Tomato Sauce, 13.7-Ounce CansThese beans are the real deal if you're a British ex-pat like my hubby who needs a "beans on toast" or "beans, sausage and chips" fix. So much easier than begging Mum to pack a few tins in her case when she visits! However, be aware that Amazon ship these cans individually in a big box with air pillows for padding which means they roll and bang about. More than half of the dozen cans were badly dented. Still, everything's going to be happily eaten. Just would have preferred more care in the shipping. BTW, when you sign up for Amazon prime, you can get 12 tins shipped 2-day air with free shipping. (For us regulars, that's a fantastic deal!)

We are from England and miss one thing from back home: Heinz Baked Beans in tomato sauce. It's hard to believe that this healthy, tasty essential fodder for all occasions, made by an American firm, is not in our local supermarket. Shipping from Amazon could be pricey, so add them to an order where you get free postage. Also, they are packed loosely so the cans will be dented but the contents are fine. Yummee!!

I just had Heinz Beans for the first time this morning, as part of a traditional "beans & fried egg on toast" breakfast, and I must say it lives up to the hype. I grew up eating Campbell's Pork & Beans, and in the grand scheme of things there isn't *that* much difference, but Heinz Beans does have a distinctly richer, cleaner taste than Campbell's. Without the extra salt and HFCS that you find in most canned beans, the tomato flavor really shines through.

NOTE: Although I won't take away any stars for it (because a product review is supposed to be for THE PRODUCT), Amazon's shipping of this item does leave a lot to be desired: a much larger box than necessary, padded with standard pillow packing that was all popped by the time the shipment reached me. About half of the cans were dented, some quite badly.

These are so good. They don't have the sweet taste that the American beans have and no artificial colors, preservatives or flavors either. Good deal as they are more expensive to buy individually.

They taste great. But the package was pretty poorly put together and half of the beans tins were beat up.

Pacific Natural Foods Hazelnut Non-Dairy Beverage, Chocolate, 32-Ounce Containers (Pack of 12)

Pacific Natural Foods Hazelnut Non-Dairy Beverage, Chocolate, 32-Ounce ContainersFirst I tried Diamond's almond milk in vanilla and unsweetened and sweetened chocolate flavors. The vanila is fine if you like almonds, I'm not wild about them. The unsweetened chocolate was undrinkable for me, and the chocolate was OK.

Then I found the Pacific hazelnut, in plain and chocolate. I love hazelnuts. The plain in good, and the chocolate is terrific for a non-dairy milk.

Unfortunately the three grocery stores I go to regularly don't have the hazelnut in either plain or chocolate so I am baffled where I got it. Now I will buy it from Amazon. I like that Amazon has the 8 oz. size, which I didn't know about.

I have been drinking this since -theweek they released it and for the last couple years, every month or so I've gotten in the habit of going to a co-op store that reliably carries it and getting a dozen (or 15 sometimes, whatever is on the shelf!) and drinking a few boxes a week (thankfully it is $2.25 a box here, 10% off when I buy

a case!)

It is the absolute smoothest milk made from nuts--I am very picky and sensitive to tastes and textures (the "supertaster" test where they dye and scan your tongue? Yeah, I have 14xs the normal taste bud count and twice the depth, crazy but it makes me very aware of nuances for good and bad)... almond ones tend to have a grit; in some the salt and sugar (and cocoa in the chocolate ones) just don't ever quite join the nut blend... and no way am I drinking soy. This is PERFECT to carry with me when I am worried about temperature (so I keep a box of the 4 individuals around but actually usually take the whole 32oz one--I drink it in 3 sittings tops, usually the same day).

Pacific foods also have amazing customer service; funny, I moved to Seattle from the east coast and having consumed it over a full year there, it suddenly was not known (the chocolate variety) ANYWHERE just a few hours from their plant in stores that have more Pacific brand broths, milks, and such than all other brands combined. They were awesome about getting it here for me (also before Amazon carried it); not sure why it costs so much with Amazon compared to a SEATTLE grocer since um Amazon is in Seattle, too, but glad for the backup regardless, hoping I never need to pay this much!

Having had Pacific's oat, almond, hazelnut... And then Almond Breeze (the other good chocolate variety, sweetened that is, the unsweet isn't so palettable)... This is the best. The plain hazelnut milk is super smooth and great for making my own custom flavored drinks when I run out of my loved Alpenrose dairy goods (amazing milk)... This is definitely great for potential power outrages, winter storms... Great backup for perishable dairy goods! It is well worth $3/each, mind you, or grab the $28/case recurring and set it a few months away and see if you aren't hooked!! Seriously, bet you will be :) gonna go drink some right now (I should upload a shot of the cabinet shelf that is JUST 3 rows of this; 3-4 are always in the fridge cause it is so so good!)

I bought a 12 pack of this after trying the Pacific Natural regular hazelnut milk. I love this stuff! I saved about $6 using Subscribe & Save versus going to the store. I feel good about supporting this company because they believe in responsible, sustainable farming. But besides that, this milk is just delicious. Room temperature or chilled, it's equally tasty. I mixed it with coffee this morning and it's great too. I also dilute it sometimes with regular skim milk to dial down the sweetness.

The box arrives well packaged. It's a box inside a box. The inner box is bubble-wrapped for extra protection. Unopened, the cartons do not need refrigeration and can be stored on a shelf.

I found this drink on a whim. And haven't looked back since. All the other positive reviews are TRUE!!! This IS the BEST chocolate "milk alternative" even beyond Almond Milk. I think Almond Milk is still relevant, because it offers a different nutritional profile than Hazelnuts, but they complement eachother. I buy both now (Almond milk and this Hazelnut Drink) and alternate, but I gotta admit, I'm starting to become gravitated towards the Hazelnut because it just tastes so freakin awesome. Pacific Natural Foods did a DAMN good job on this one, and they BETTER not stop this product line. I think it's so new that it's still catching on, but like I said, all the good reviews are spot on. You almost ask yourself "is this really good for me? it tasted just way too good to be good for me" but it IS good for you! Hazelnuts are rich in Omegas, and this drink also has MUCH LESS sugar than most Almond Milks, and STILL tastes better. Just try not to finish an entire carton in like 2 days, I'm not kidding... My friend is adding it to other drink mixes too. On the sinful side every once in a while (at night) add a dash of Kahlua to a glass, and watch out! lol

Bob's Red Mill Whole Grain Teff, 24-Ounce Packages (Pack of 4)

Bob's Red Mill Whole Grain Teff, 24-Ounce PackagesBuying 6 pounds of a grain you've never had can seem risky... what will you do with it all? But I took the risk and it paid off! Teff is great. I followed the porridge cooking instructions on the back, but made it savory instead of sweet. I let the tiny teff grains heat up/dry roast for a few minutes in the pot. I could hear them popping like crazy (sounds like electricity) and then I added water, organic chicken broth, ghee and black pepper. I let it cook longer than they say and then mixed a serving of it with chopped broccoli and chopped turkey, and then topped it with a drizzle of flax oil. My toddler said "yum, yum, yum" about 100 times. That's pretty cool.

We can now confidently add teff to our rotation of amaranth, quinoa, brown rice, millet, oatmeal, and spelt flakes.

We have a high protein, high fiber, vitamin packed winner!

More difficult than oatmeal or quinoa to cook for breakfast: the small grains must be shaken apart once added to the water, and more frequent stirring required to avoid a sticky gel-like mass on the bottom of the pan. These minor annoyances aside, teff has excellent flavor and nutritional benefits, including 20% of the RDA for Iron. Great with fruits and nuts for breakfast, or as a base for vegetables in a casserole.

Teff replaces oatmeal as a hot breakfast cereal. Teff's pretty unique, its a tiny seed. It doesn't get mushy when cooked, but does stick together. To cook it boil it in wateruse about 1/2C Teff to 2 1/2 C waterto serve two or one large guy. Add some salt too, say 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon and just boil until thick. Stir so it doesn't stick to the pan. Flavor is kind of nutty but mild and its really good. Its much higher in protein and complex carbs so you can feel the difference around noonstill with you. Its a definite must have for athletes and if you can afford it everyone else. You may also like grated orange peel, nutmeg, cinnamon or for us we add toasted anise seed as well for peak flavor. We serve it with milk and a pinch of sugar. Its excellent, if you prepare any dish like this you will probably find Teff is better than all of them. Take advantage of the shipping deal when you buy two boxes.

Just got Teff for the first time several weeks ago and we all love it in this house! Baked some French Bread with Teff in it and it was absolutely delicious! The French Bread didn't last a day! Give this tiny grain a try and you won't be dissapointed!

I purchased this whole grain teff on a special deal here on Amazon, without having tried it previously or having any idea if I'd like it, but so far I'm loving it.

I haven't tried the recipes on the back of the package yet for teff porridge or teff pudding (they look very tasty, but require longer stove-top cooking and more attention than I usually want to invest unless I've already tried the result and know for a fact that it's worth the time and trouble).

However, when I added a generous sprinkling of teff to a bowl of McCann's Quick & Easy steel-cut Irish oats before adding the boiling water and following the microwave directions on that package, the result was spectacularly good (much better than the oats alone, even when cooked with my usual cinnamon, dried fruits, and nuts).

And then I tried 'blooming' a half-cup of teff in about a cup of boiling water (I ended up simmering it in the microwave for a few minutes, since I was impatient) and stirring that into a standard pancake recipe (using a generic reduced-fat baking mix). The pancake batter looked thin and a little gloppy, but they cooked up beautifully and had a wonderful, nutty (but not heavy) taste. After I made the first few pancakes, I didn't even bother dropping frozen wild blueberries onto the pancake batter anymore, since the teff made the pancakes tasty all alone. The texture of the pancakes was light, but spongy, and they're just as good warmed up in the microwave a few days later.

One of these days I'll work up the nerve to try cooking the teff all alone, but in the meantime I'm adding it to other cooked or baked products at every opportunity, and I haven't been disappointed in the result yet.

Cap'n Crunch OOPS! All Berries Cereal, 13 Ounces

Cap'n Crunch OOPS! All Berries Cereal, 13 OuncesHands down, the best cereal ever conceived by mankind. If Chocolate is the food of the gods then surely these Berries are the breakfast of the gods.

My daughter absolutely LOVES this cereal. It's hard to find her food she likes since she's such a picky eater and this one was a hit.

I hope that the manufacturer keeps this around.

This cereal is very yummy, however, for those prone to cavities or have deep groves in your teeth, beware. This easily sticks to your teeth and requires spending time with floss and toothpicks to remove. Simply brushing does not do. It also has a lot of artificial dyes and flavoring. The dyes will make your bowel movements green for several days (no kidding, this happened to me and my husband). With that said, I till keep eating this cereal at a minimum. I've also been having some stomach problems, not sure if it's related to this.

I enjoy this cereal the only problem I seem to have with it is what it does what I have to take a crap. If you were to take a mouthful of all the green berries and chew them around in your mouth then spit that out that's what my crap looks like. Other than that its a good tasting cereal.

I have a couple grand kids that had a flu bug.

They ate this cereal hrs before they got sick.

Just a note.....the flu was going around at that time, being sick had nothing to do with them eating this cereal.

Needless to say, their bottoms were stained with a bluish green color. How much food coloring are these kids eating?
