Stove Top Stuffing - 6/ 8 oz. pouches

Stove Top Stuffing - 6/ 8 oz. pouchesIf you like to have "stuffing" with your every day chicken this is one way to do that without a lot of hassle. I suspend my inner critic's voice, open a jar of chicken gravy, roast my chicken breast, open a can of jellied cranberry sauce and have a delicious, easy to fix in minutes weeknight supper. What more could one ask?

What's not to like? Delicious stuffing in five minutes. You can prepare as much or as little as you like. With a neat little trick that I've discovered, you can get a real cooked-in-the-bird flavor, even though you're preparing it on the stove. All you need to do is to substitute about half of the water that the instructions call for with juices from your cooked chicken. Pour the juices into the measuring cup and add water to bring the total to the desired amount. I also prefer a little more liquid than what the instructions call for, although one can adjust that to one's personal preference.

Simply Asia Stir Fry Sauce Ginger Teriyaki -- 4.44 oz

Simply Asia Stir Fry Sauce Ginger Teriyaki -- 4.44 ozThese packaged sauces by Simply Asia are very tasty and make for a simple meal. The sauce is premixed and just needs to be stirred into the pan/wok with the meat(s), vegetables, pasta... whatever you plan to stir-fry. The sauce is thick with a glaze consistency and tastes of fairly sweet teriyaki with ginger. Really yummy. It is also much cheaper here than the store (at least at my store). Less than $2 per package here? Can't beat that!

La Piana Mezzaluna with Pesto Filling, 1 Pound

La Piana Mezzaluna with Pesto Filling, 1 PoundA local winery sold this pasta for quite a bit more than it is sold here for. I decided to try it.... Everyone in my family of five LOVED it... my 7 year old daughter and I argued over who got it for breakfast the next morning. It was that good. The best pasta I have ever had (I am 40 and love my pasta). It is better than any resturant's pasta..... I highly recommend it and am buying a case! :)

I had the basil pesto filling and the squash filling varieties. Both had a light rusty brown lump, neither of which tasted good. They were just not tasty at all. I am sorry. Doesn't come close to comparing to fresh ravioli or tortellini.

My husband and I love good pasta. This was great tasting for a try pasta. The pesto has a surprise taste inside. Enjoyed it very much.

Nature's Path Organic Hemp Plus Granola, 26.4-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)

Nature's Path Organic Hemp Plus Granola, 26.4-Ounce BagsI am a big fan of the granola and this packaging makes it an even better value. The bags are not hard to deal with at all, I just chip clip them at the top once they're opened. The granola itself: It stays crunchy for a long time in milk, not too sweet, no wheat in it, loaded with health benefits. No fruit or nuts, so I add my own to taste. This is on my short list of products I can't live without.

We stopped using this product for the amount of sugar in there.

It's not plain Sugar but ***organic evaporated cane juice AND organic oat syrup solids AND organic molasses*** so it's too sweet and more importantly not so very good on blood sugar levels so not a great option as a breakfast as blood sugar will be affected all day.

Too bad, b/c we did like the product. Hope they change it to a less sweet version soon.

I probably eat to much of this granola. I switch between the hemp and pumpkin varieties. The subscribe and save price is unbeatable. It's great with milk, yogurt and even water, yes water. Warm water and honey turn this into a nice breakfast when camping. I also add chocolate hemp protein with milk or yogurt and have some for desert. It's also just a great dry snack. I often take it when I'm on the run. Most of my friends have fallen for this granola too. I don't know why but the clusters are the best part. Try it and you'll agree.

I keep wondering when I'll get sick of eating the same granola almost every morning, but it hasn't happened yet. Every time I try another cereal I end up wishing I was eating Hemp Plus Granola. Yum! Healthy without tasting like cardboard. Crunchy without feeling like gravel. THE perfect granola! Perfect in soy yogurt, soy milk, or straight out of the bag.

Delicious and good texture.

Perhaps too sweet. Second ingredient: Organic Evaporated Cane Juice

Hemp is the sixth ingredient, and cannot very well be tasted, though the amount may be enough for its nourishment.

Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Organic Instant Oatmeal, Light Maple Brown Sugar, 1.3 Ounce Packets, 8-

Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Organic Instant Oatmeal, Light Maple Brown Sugar, 1.3 Ounce Packets, 8-Count BoxesI know it's not as good as old-fashioned, unsweetened oatmeal in terms of health value, but this is an excellent instant oatmeal that is not as sweet as regular oatmeals and has no bad additives, but my kids (who are sweet-aholics) LOVE it. I only wish we could buy it in a bulk can or bag so that we didn't have to waste so much packaging tearing several packets open every morning. It's our main breakfast food now.

It taste a little less like sugar and more like maple and brown sugar than the Quaker brand. I noticed it also stayed warmer longer and "cooks" better than it too. All in all it doesn't cost anymore the taste is nearly the same(better in my opinion)and it's organic what more could you want? If you like the regular stuff you'll like this as well.

This oatmeal tastes better than any I have eaten in my life. The texture and flavor is better than other instant oatmeals; it is not mushy and has the perfect amount of sweetness--not too sweet but not bland and boring. The price is great, especially considering it is approximately the same as Quaker but with the added benefits of being yummier and organic!

I contacted the manufacturer to ask if it is gluten free. They emailed me: "Our light oatmeals that come in the boxes are gluten free. The ones in big cups are not gluten free." However, I do not think they use certified gluten free oats. I have a gluten sensitivity and do not have any symptoms after eating this. However, if you have celiac, this product is probably not for you.

This oatmeal is the best! I've been eating Quaker maple & brown sugar since I was a kid and and this blows Quaker away! If you order McDougall's through subscribe and save the price is exactly the same as Acme store brand maple and brown sugar. The consistency is different than Quaker. Probably the biggest difference I noticed is with Quaker I've always noticed a grainy type texture with every spoonful. Guess I just got used to that over the years. With McDougall's, all you can taste is the real oatmeal flavor with a nice touch of maple and brown sugar. Subscribe and save has made going organic much easier on my pocketbook too. There is no dollar amount on the fact that it gets delivered to my front door, saving me precious time and gas from going all the way to the nearest Whole Foods for a healthier chioce in eating. It's delicious, cheap and so good for you. Thanks Amazon for your subscribe and save program!

Starbucks Veranda Blend Blonde K-Cup Portion Pack for Keurig Brewers

Starbucks Veranda Blend Blonde, K-Cup Portion Pack for Keurig K-Cup Brewers, 16-CountI have a Keurig in the office for guests (and myself) but I learned that most of my guests prefer a lighter roast than I do. After tasting the Veranda Blend, I found it was light, but very aromatic and you could still add sugar and cream and it was very similar to a good restaurant coffee. So when supplying choices of blends for guests, I'm including Veranda as a milder blend for those who don't like French Roast or Sumatra or other bold blends. I find that there is a bit of woodiness, but also a slight flavor of nuts and cocoa. It's a pleasant blend of coffee and a very good cup if you don't want something awfully strong. Some lighter roasts are acid to me, but this one seems to be balanced.

I was so hoping that Starbucks would come out with a mild blend for k cups. Starbucks has exceeded my hopes. This coffee is delicious. THANKS STARBUCKS

Brewed on the 10 oz. setting on my Keurig Platinum brewer, the first thing I noticed was the very nice, enticing aroma. Could this possibly be the perfect K-cup? I had to have a sip before I even sat down. In that first sip I tasted some strength, some choclate and nutty overtones, followed by a smoothness I don't typically find in a Starbucks blend.

For the most part I don't drink Starbucks for several reasons. First and foremost, they tend to over roast their beans and the result is an overly strong and somewhat bitter brew. This Veranda Blend "Blond" brew isn't roasted so darkly and finally I can taste the real flavors in the coffee. This coffee actually reminds me of what a good "Donut Shop" coffee used to taste like; before everything became darkly roasted. But I stray... The first sip as I said was very inviting with lots of interesting flavors and a lively yet balanced acidity. As the coffee cooled in my cup the flavor changed a little. It became more woodsy and earthy but with a bit more acidity. Still a good cup that comes close to my favorite K-cup, Millstone's Fog Lifter. Foglifter is a blend of both dark and light roasts in which the flavor doesn't change as the cup cools, the first sip is as good as the last. The acidity is always balanced whereas with this Veranda Blend the acidity becomes slightly more pronouncd.

I usually prefer a light to medium roast in the morning and throughout the day. In the evening I like to relax with a darker roast or better yet with a real espresso (which sadly cannot be made in a Keurig). My verdict for the Veranda Roast is that it will fill the bill for my everyday coffee if and when the Millstone Foglifter either isn't available at a reasonable price or is out of stock.

The price you pay for this good Veranda Roast is, well, the price, and this is my reason for the deduction of a star. Starbucks has long been priced higher than other coffees and the Veranda is no exception. This is only a 16-count box which means we're paying right at a dollar a cup. At the Keurig website I can buy Foglifter for around sixty-two cents per cup when it is in stock. Am I being cheap? Maybe. I just don't find Starbucks to be worth the extra money just to have the brand name.

I don't usually drink Starbuck it's way to acidic for me. But someone gave me a gift card and I got the Blonde. It's very Good. On Amazon it's almost twice what you would pay at Walmart. 12.98 for 16 cup's there.

After trying this new roast at the store and loving it, I was thrilled when I was offered a free sample of the k-cups to try on my office machine.

Same as the store brew, mellow taste (to me that means no burnt after taste) and a high caffeine hit. I am not a coffee aficionado so I cannot tell you about the cocoa or toasted nutty flavors that they tout. What I can say, is that if you are looking for a simple blend that will give you the morning or afternoon kick that you need without leaving an acid stomach burn, try this coffee.

Yes, it is expensive as compared to brewing your own coffee from store bought beans in your Mr. Coffee, but that is the point. You are brewing a fresh cup in the comfort of your own home without having to get out of your fuzzy slippers or in some cases, brushing your teeth.

Treat yourself to a luxury and stop complaining.

Ancient Harvest Quinoa Flakes, Organic and Gluten Free, 12-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)

Ancient Harvest Quinoa Flakes, Organic and Gluten Free, 12-Ounce BoxesAncient Harvest Quinoa Flakes cook up into a hearty hot cereal. They taste great on their own, sweetened or with butter. It cooks very fast, which is a definite plus. Just don't expect a texture like you'd get with whole quinoa. It's more a mush like well cooked cornmeal, but it's higher in protein.

For those who can't eat gluten or are allergic to wheat as I am, this makes a great substitute for Cream of Wheat. Actually I prefer the taste of the quinoa flakes.

BTW, I was happy to find it here at this price since the few times I was able to buy it at the store it was $5.99 per box.

Breakfast time in our household is very busy, so often I've been setting up our rice cooker with a timer the night before to cook hot cereal that's ready when we are. This works great, but we wanted to expand the cereal choices.

Not ready to order a multi-pack of Quinoa (pronounced keen-WAH), I got a single box of these Ancient Harvest Quinoa Flakes at the local health food store. It wasn't til I got home that I read on the box that a single serving (1/3 cup dry and 1 cup water) cooked in the microwave in only 2 and 1/2 mins. Cool. I was also pleased with the protein content 4.3 grams per serving, not as good as oatmeal but better than all the other common hot cereal grains.

Not an issue for us, but if it is for you, you should know this cereal is gluten free, and per the manufacturer's website, processed in a gluten free facility, as well as Kosher and organic.

My husband found the taste a bit odd. I loved this cereal myself. To me the taste was ok, but the best part was the texture it is extremely smooth and creamy, and a bit of Splenda and half and half made it perfect. It's far finer than Cream of Wheat or grits. The flakes really don't have a lot of taste which should make folks who like to creatively dress up their cereal happy, and if you like a chunkier breakfast there's always fruit and nuts to add if you want. If you have ever had bitter quinoa, you should know these are pre-washed and the bitter coating taken off, resulting in a very mild taste.

With this cereal, because of its quick cooking time, I don't use the rice cooker, just the microwave. It's no fuss, meaning a single stir when it's done is sufficient, you don't need to check and stir as you go.

The flakes can also be used to make pancakes or waffles, coating for cooking fish or chicken, baked muffins or cookies. There's recipes on the box.

If you're looking for a way to enliven your breakfast easily, a box of Quinoa Flakes is very worth a try. I can tell this will be a staple for me.

In East Africa, where I'm from, we have a porridge called Uji, which is essentially made from ground maize and millet. Very nutritious, even one of the first foods you give your baby when you're weaning him/her from milk. At our house, we're big fans of oatmeal, which we've cooked up with bananas (no honey, no sugar) and serve with blueberries, or with some adad lentils with a base sautee of onions, garlic, cloves, cinamon, and chilies. It's absolutely fab. My 20-month-old loves it that way. Until I bought quinoa flakes and made it for him that way--he loved it even more. Today, I made him some garlic peas and carrot hot cereal. Basically, boil the water, add in some peas and carrots (I'm sure corn and potatoes would be divine, too!), salt and pepper (or chili powder), and a chunk of minced garlic. Bring to a boil and then stir in the quinoa. I'm having mine with a dollop of homemade yogurt. Delicious!!!!!!

I love these quinoa flakes...they are relatively easy to make (I just cook them in the microwave. They have a very unique, kind of nutty taste (I guess like quinoa) and can be made thick or thin. It has the texture of grits or cream of wheat and, like quinoa, is a great source of protein...and it's gluten free. I have served this for friends at a brunch and they loved it. I sometimes put warmed fruit (microwaved frozen berries) in it...and it is a great treat. Highly recommended and a great deal. Also, the boxes came with a very long shelf life, but I am sure that they will be gobbled up fairly soon.

I'm sorry to admit this, but these quinoa flakes are disgusting! I tried eating them savory, I tried eating them sweet. How are you supposed to eat them? I was finally able to make them edible, but after a while I felt that if I took one more bite, I would throw up. These taste fine in baked goods, so I might only buy it for that purpose. Sorry that I had to give this such a bad review.

Yorkshire Gold - 40 Tea Bags

Yorkshire Gold - 40 Tea BagsI believe it's the original tea I like slightly better (the one with the red color on the box), but both Yorkshire Teas are fantastic. This tea seems made more for lemon and honey while the original (I think it's the original), is definitely made for milk and honey, to my palate anyway. Both the Gold and the Original Yorkshire Teas are excellent, full-bodied and satisfying teas.

A co-workers let me try this tea one day. Unfortunately became hooked, and Was unable to find this tea in my area! I was delighted to find it online. will be ordering again!

ALO AllureAloe Mangosteen and Mango -- 16.9 fl oz

ALO AllureAloe Mangosteen and Mango -- 16.9 fl ozGreat stuff! I love most of the flavors offered. Just wish I could find them locally, so I could get them more often.

The drink was absolutely delicious, and since I've eaten Aloe before, I wasn't *quite* as thrown off by it, but when they say "Aloe Vera pulp" they mean large, thick chunks of Aloe. If you've never tried it before, Aloe is smooth and slimy, not entirely unlike Tapioca balls in bubble tea. It's not a bad thing by any account, but it's definitely something to watch out for.

I was introduced to the ALO drink by a friend of mine. She brought it to work one day and gave me one to try. Looking into the bottle, the first thing you see are big pieces of something floating around, which for the first timer, isn't really appealing. However, I looked past those and decided to try it. The texture was a little different, because of the aloe pieces, but when you start to drink it, it actually is good. This particular flavor is one of my favorites! I love it. I will be drinking this on the sidewalk, and people will stop and ask me what it is because of the "floaties". Another advantage (may be just me), but I have noticed more bathroom urges. Which is a good thing. :) Give it a try.
