Carnation Breakfast ESSENTIALS No Sugar Added Chocolate Powder, 7.05-Ounce Jar

Carnation Breakfast ESSENTIALS No Sugar Added Chocolate Powder, 7.05-Ounce JarOur 2 year old goes through a 7.05-ounce container in 2 days as this is the recommended meal per his nutritionist and he absolutely loves it. I love it as well, tastes great even without the added sugar. Unfortunately the newer container is not up to par for shipping. We have ordered over 40 containers (from Amazon and other online outlets) and the problem persists in just about every order, there will be at least of the containers that is open at the top either due to heat or poor packaging or heat, the top seal seems weak and unable to stand 'shipping and handling'. Never had this issue with the larger 8.46-ounce canisters which of course were a better value as well. Thankfully Amazon was able to rectify the issue even though they were not at fault.

I drink this at least 5 days/week. Its the best and fastest way to have breakfast during my morning commute and saves me time sitting down to eat. I mix Carnation with 2 cups of skim milk (instead of the 1 cup it recommends), heat it in the microwave, and it's my morning hot chocolate. I buy it in bulk because it is cheaper.

This is good for my diet but hey, it's sugar free. Not as good as regular carnation but I continue to buy it because mixed with almond milk, it's a low carb, high protein drink that I can afford.

The no sugar added formulation is difficult for me to find in a canister. This is a decent price, and is less than the per ounce cost of the envelopes located at my store.

Seems nutritionally filling. It tastes like a chocolate milkshake yet I believe it to be better for me. I would recommend it to anyone who might be looking for this kind of product.

Paleo People Apple Crisp Granola 5 Oz Bag

Paleo People Apple Crisp Granola 5 Oz BagThe flavor of this product is ok, not amazing but not bad either. Ingreds are good and I want to consume more seeds so aside from the price, this seemed like a good buy.

However, in my first two bites I chomped down on not one but 2 ROCK-like pits....yikes...I know there is always a risk with foods like this but have never seen foreign pits this substantial in any product.

Exercise caution when consuming this product, and if you have certain kinds of dental work you may want to skip it altogether.

Kind Healthy Grains Clusters, 11 Ounce Bag (Pack of 3)

KIND Healthy Grains Clusters, Maple Walnut with Chia and Quinoa, 11-Ounce BagsCustomer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'm a bit granola obsessed, always on the search for a great tasting and healthy blend of ingredients. With reasonable effort to avoid hyperbole, Kind Healthy Grains Vanilla Blueberry Clusters might be the best granola I have tried. The diverse grains are sweet and crispy, the nutrients are plentiful, and the price is right. I generally eat the granola dry, straight from the package, but I have eaten it with almond milk, making for a delicious, nutritious breakfast.

For those who are curious, here is a breakdown of the nutritional content, as well as ingredients:

Serving Size: 1/3 cup (29g)

INGREDIENTS:

Whole grains (gluten free oats, brown rice, gluten free oat flour, buckwheat, amaranth, millet, quinoa), evaporated cane juice, flax seeds, chicory root fiber, canola oil, vanilla extract, molasses, blueberry puree, apple puree, plum puree, apple juice, glycerine, sea salt, Vitamin E (D-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate), citrus fiber, citrus pectin.

The blueberry flavor is, perhaps, a little too subtle, getting lost in the mix of the grains, but it does make its presence known. The variety of grains included is more robust than many other brand I have tried, especially the inclusion of quinoa. So there is a little something to please everyone.

So, for those seeking a delicious, healthy granola blend, I highly recommend Kind Vanilla Blueberry Clusters. For my money, it may be the best grain blend on the market!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I couldn't honestly care less about flax seeds and all the other mumbo jumbo on the packaging. I guess I can just trust that it's all good stuff. With a brand name like "Kind" it's a leap of faith I'm willing to take. What I do know, however, is this stuff is tasty.

The smell from the bag is earthy, with a little cinnamon, a little oat. It reminded me of family drives as a kid when we used to roll down the windows while passing the Quaker Oats factory in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Very inviting.

Smell is not sufficient, so I had to eat this bag of goodies. VERY impressed. One thing I hate about a lot of granola (oat clusters) is that it's crumbled too much. You end up with thousands of tiny chunks. This is not true with the Kind brand. There are big and small chunks, with the right texture and crunch. Added to that is a simply delicious flavor; it's like health-food candy. Each bite is like cheating a diet. Delicious cinnamon flavoring without being overpowering. I highly recommend it in milk as a healthy alternative to sugary cereals, or in handfuls while hiking through multi-colored forest landscapes that pleasantly make time disappear.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I love this granola. It is packed with health benefits (omega-3s, fiber, and more vitamins than Bear Naked Fruit and Nut, my go to granola). There is a variety of interesting and tasty grains. The cinnamon flavor is perfect without being too sweet.

I sprinkled this on yogurt, pancakes with syrup (just to change the texture, it was delicious!), and ate it by the handfuls. Every new combination I tried was a delicious treat.

I truly enjoy this product.

My one complaint is that it is more expensive than Bear Naked, and there is no subscribe and save buying option (yet).

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The cinnamon oats clusters provide a nice, crunchy taste, and the cinnamon flavor adds an extra punch to it. I added this mix to my cereal, and it is very tasty. This mix is also good as a snack on its own. The zip lock bag is also very convenient for keeping close by when traveling or an at-work snack. I recommend this mix for anyone seeking a healthy snack with lots of good flavor.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Because I'm a vegetarian it's a little tricky getting those highly touted omega-3s in my diet so I'm always happy to find food source that does the job. This tasty granola contains flax seeds (hence the omega-3s) and a veritable cornucopia of whole grains including amaranth, quinoa, oats, millet, brown rice and buckwheat, but no wheat so it's gluten-free. It's sweet, but not too sweet. It does have evaporated cane juice and molasses, but a one third cup serving only has 6 grams of sugar. That same serving size has 5 grams of fiber, 3 grams of protein, 130 calories and only 3.5 grams of fat and 20 mg of sodium so unless you overdo it, and because it is delicious that's possible, it's a guilt-free food. It's great straight out of the bag, or with milk or (my favorite) yogurt. There are several other flavors and they all sound good so I know I'll be checking them out too. Since there's no honey or dairy I believe this would be good for vegans.

Post grape-nuts Flakes Cereal, 14-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4)

Post grape-nuts Flakes Cereal, 14-Ounce BoxesOur family LOVES this cereal. I used to buy it regularly at the local Safeway. Unfortunately, as with the experience of many others, the local grocery store no longer carries it.

When buying it at Safeway, I could find it quite often "on sale" for $2 per box and that box was larger than the paltry 14-ouncers Amazon is peddling here (can't recall, but I believe it was an 18 oz size)

A LITTLE ARITHMETIC:

1. If I was buying 18 oz for $2, the price was 11 cents an ounce (even if the boxes were 14 oz, the price still would have been 14.3 cents per oz).

2. Amazon is selling us 6 14 oz boxes (84 oz) for $25.14 (and telling us it is "discounted" from $28.89!). This amounts to 30 cents an ounce. You can get it down to 25.4 cents an ounce IF you agree to regular interval deliveries something I'd be GLAD to do for the RIGHT PRICE!

NOTE: At 30 cents an ounce, we are paying $4.80 per pound I can buy several punds of chicken, hamburger, or even a pretty good steak for that per-pound price.

CONCLUSION: this great product seems to have disappeared from the local store shelves and, in order to get it, we now have to pay 2 to 3 times as much making grape nut flakes more costly than many meats. I suspect that this is very profitable and I'd rather be a seller than a buyer!!

If anyone know of better pricing options, please post them!

Also, POST and AMAZON, if you are listening, PLEASE see if you couldn't provide this absolutely great product at a little better price. Many thanks for reading.

I always liked Grape-Nuts Flakes better than Grape-Nuts. The regular Grape-Nuts are too much like chewing gravel to me. The flakes have a great nutty flavor. They do get soggy very quickly, though. Sometimes I like them that way. If you don't like soggy cereal, I recommend cutting the serving in half, eat the first half with milk, then add the second half to the remaining milk. Or just eat fast :)

Grew up eating this cereal back in the 1950s, have continued to enjoy them though lately they have changed in consistency, becoming more crunchy. Not as easy to find, although our local Wal-Mart has a recent stock.

At $.17 cents a box back in the late 1950s, and my local Wal-Mart price under $3.00 a box, you're price here really astounds me. They're very good, but at your price of approximately $10.00/box, not that good!

Semper Fi.

Grape Nuts Flakes is Grape Nut Flakes. It's not like I didn't know what the product was when I ordered it. We were having difficulty finding the product on our local grocery store shelves. Price was good when coupled with others s for free shipping. Delivery was prompt. Could have been better packaged in the shipping carton. The end boxes of the 4 pack were pretty beat up. The product was OK, but the boxes wouldn't stand up when seperated.

Maple Walnut Granola, 1 lb.

Maple Walnut Granola, 1 lb.I'm not a fan of granola by any means: at least not until now. I have tried making my own on many occasions but the mess, expense, amount of ingredients to keep on hand and the less than satisfactory results have pretty much turned me off. I purchased this product in 3 flavors as a last ditch effort: Cherry Walnut, Almond and Maple Walnut. They arrived together in 2 days, well packaged, fresh and crunchy. Did I mention FLAVORFUL? I am a true convert. This is the best. While I like all 3, my favorite is the Maple Walnut, followed by the Almond and then Cherry Walnut (mostly because the huge dried cherries taste more like golden raisins than cherries, but still very good. I should also mention that while the dried cherries are about the size of the bowl of a teaspoon and look like they are soft and pliable, they are very hard and take a lot of careful chewing, after which they become sticky. I didn't find that texture pleasant). And when the ingredients listed walnuts or almonds, I figured it would be microscopic smooshed up pieces mixed in so small I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a sesame seed and a piece of walnut or almond. BUT, the almonds are large pieces or whole almonds while the walnuts well, the walnuts are planet-sized: sometimes 1/2 of an entire walnut and there are tons of them in a single bag of this granola. The maple walnut is the only one I find a bit on the sticky side, but not like caramel popcorn sticky-just a bit tacky. I've already used this in yogurt, cottage cheese, oatmeal, as a snack in mid afternoon, in salads, pancakes and yesterday morning, I made Bisquick biscuits and added some of all 3 flavors as an experiment. The biscuits were marvelous. Now, if I could only remember WHAT I did so I can make them again with the same success! Try this. I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you are, you can send it to me!! :)

It was excellent, chock full of walnuts, slightly sweet, and nutritious, but compared to other brandsI thought it was overpriced.

Wonderfully tasty granola, that arrived quickly. I've bought a few items from this company and have been happy with them all so far.

This is a good all-around cereal, snack or for use in cooking. Cold with milk for breakfast, with warm milk for an evening snack or just plain as is for a quick on the go snack. I even used it in some muffins the other day. Versatile, good for you and tastes so good too.

I ordered three packages of granola and expected all three to be equally tasty. They weren't. Since I cannot remember which one was not particularly good, I'm reluctant to re-order granola from this terrific company.
