Though this is advertised as "steel-cut" the kernel is not as one would expect steel-cut oats to be, namely there is little intact seed coat. The result is when I cook this, I must cook it even less or it turns into Quaker-style mush and so much paste.
We eat a bowl of this oatmeal every day. It's so easy to just put some in a high sided bowl, add water and microwave for 2 minutes. I add 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries and 1/4 cup of frozen walnuts, a dash or 2 of cinnamon, stir, then top it off with a bottle of vanilla Danactive. The frozen items cool off the oatmeal instantly which I like but my husband prefers to cook his blueberries with the oatmeal. I just haven't started my day unless I've had this and we're never sick!

These organic oats taste better than the quaker oats I've been buying in the store for years. I highly recommend. I've gone through a case so far and am ordering a second time. The one drawback, as is with many other amazon items, is the shipping. The box seemed as if it was kicked across the warehouse. I have eating oatmeal for breakfast for years and have only been able to get regular oats here in Madeira. This works just like I want it. Pour boiling water over it and fix my tea and the oats are ready. Easy peasy.
I discovered this product at Whole Foods when I was looking for a supplement for my kids. The 10 year old has Asperger's Syndrome and can be very picky about his fruits and veggies, and the toddler has pretty typical capricious tastes so it's sometimes a challenge to find foods they both will eat. I've been fixing this in smoothies for them (bannanas, pineapple, strawberries, 2% milk, and crushed ice) and they LOVE it!! 2 scoops of the supplement works well for both. Great product!

It doesn't look the greatest or taste the greatest but it can be made to your kids liking. I actually mix it according to the directions with water but then I add the same amount of juice too because thats the only way they will drink. I love all the fruit-flavored Larabars -the Cherry Pie, the Apple Pie but absolutely most especially the Lemon Bar! I loved the tart lemon taste of these Larabars. They are a great snack on the go and are relatively nutritious. The fact that there are a limited number of ingredients used with minimal processing is a perk.
I really like this cereal; it's better than Chex! It's less salty and more substantial in texture than Chex, and it doesn't get soggy in milk. When gluten free cereals were hard to find, I was pleased to find this one. Although Rice Chex is now gluten free, my family prefers Rice Crunch 'Ems.
These bars taste great and are what I call do-able nutrition. They are not 100% healthy (most products aren't), but they are a healthier alternative than a candy bar for example and have great taste compared to other protein bars. Even though the amount of protein is not that high, it's still better than no protein. I use them as a meal replacement or a snack.

I still haven't figured out what I'm going to do with the 3-pack that I bought from amazon. I tasted one bar and completed it with great difficulty.
