I really thought this was a great product until I saw that I was eating granola that was practically a year old by the time it got to me.
The Best Before label says 07/24/12. That is date of manufacture. The product is considered OK to eat until 01/31/14. Then follows a time: 07:59.
I loved this product because it is low in sugar and gluten free with a low glycemic index. But to me "healthy" includes "fresh" and I prefer "fresh" to be more, well, "recent" in a word .
This product comes from the UK. That's where I discovered it. Will probably order again to see if this experience is an anomaly. Otherwise it will become duck food, and I will switch brands or bake my own granola.
Only other caveats are that product contains nuts so you may get the occasional shell piece, and the facility that makes it handles wheat and soy. And it does have 15 grams of fat in a half cup serving.
There is also a high protein version: I prefer it but haven't seen it in US.
