This is the best brand on the market and I have tried them all, in both black and non-black refried beans. I used to make my own but only two of us now, so not as motivated to do that. Amy's is too salty and runny, Eden is to dry and salty. Bearitos got the consistency and the taste right. Beans do have their own distinctive taste--don't have to salt them to death unless we are in Brazil! (We lived 24 years in Mexico and then 4 years in Brazil, so hence the salty comment as well as our desire for refried beans).The only negative thing I would have to say is that who on earth would buy these through Amazon with these shipping rates.
