Plum Jam

Plum JamThis is true jam, because it is cooked plums with sugar. Plums are very high in pectin, so less sugar needs to be added to get it to the gel stage. Furthermore, it is extremely delicious. Plums, but not prunes, are also very high in proteins needed to heal damaged epithelium, especially lungs. We breathe so many toxins throughout the day that we need to be aware of methods to heal that epithelium, on a daily basis. So why not some really great, tasty and extremely nutritious jam on toast, muffins, rolls, bread, crackers, jelly rolls, cinnamon buns, tossed into the entree (e.g. roasted chicken with fruit marinade), on top of cheesecake, as a thin layer instead of icing in the middle of any kind of cake, added to soup, or even hot tea?
