Grove Square Hot Cocoa, Single Serve Cup for Keurig K-Cup Brewers

Grove Square Hot Cocoa, Milk Chocolate, 24 Count Single Serve Cup for Keurig K-Cup BrewersI HATE SUCRALOSE.

Honestly, I don't know how other people CAN'T taste it when it's in sweetened products. It's got this unpleasant fake flavor that I just can't ignore. I think any company that uses that junk should be required by law to indicate it on their box and all advertising.

That being said, it seems like this hot cocoa has less sucralose than the Cafe Escapes Hot Cocoa, and as such I have to give it higher marks than the competition.

Still, I can't believe this product AND its nearest competitor use sucralose but don't say they're a diet, lite, low-sugar, or otherwise unnaturally-sweetened product. It's frustrating. I can taste the stuff, and I really dislike it. I also don't like the chemical makeup of sucralose, but I won't go into that here (just believe me: natural sugar is way better for you in the long run).

There's one other choice out there for a hot cocoa in a K-Cup, and that's Swiss Miss. Unfortunately, the Swiss Miss K-Cups are ridiculously high priced and hard to find.

My opinion? It's probably better if you just get your favorite hot cocoa in packets, and use the hot water function of your Keurig. It's not worth the K-Cup convenience if you have to put up with artificial sweeteners or significantly higher prices. Spending more than seventy-five cents per cup of water-based hot cocoa is about the limit for me.

So, if you're into sucralose/Splenda, then by all means grab this and enjoy that weird aftertaste and decidedly not-sugar flavor. If you're like me, though, and can't stand that artificial stuff, then avoid this product and find another option.

Three stars for tasting decent despite the awful artificial sweetener. Minus two stars for being artificially sweetened and not mentioning it anywhere.

UPDATE: I just found out that the Swiss Miss K-Cups also use sucralose. So really, your only choice is to get packets and use your Keurig as a hot water dispenser. How disappointing.

UPDATE 02/12: After some research, I found that there is one K-Cup hot cocoa that doesn't have sucralose; However, it is loaded with fructose instead (not the greatest trade-off, since it tastes different from sugar/sucrose, in my opinion) and has no actual sugar/sucrose in it. That one is Green Mountain Coffee Hot Cocoa. Unfortunately, reviews of it say it has a strong coconut flavor (probably because the second ingredient is coconut oil) and is on the salty side, so I have avoided it. It's also more expensive per-cup, and unless you think a single cup of cocoa is worth over a dollar and twenty-five cents (as opposed to a box of 12 packets being around two dollars) then go ahead and try it. I will refrain at this point and stick to using packets.

I would also like to clarify again that despite what some comments say, the Cafe Escapes Hot Cocoa K-Cups, Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa K-Cups, and Grove Square Hot Cocoa K-Cups ALL use sucralose. Yes, there is sugar in some of those, but it is IN ADDITION TO sucralose/Splenda, and not by itself.

So your choices right now are pure sucralose, sucralose plus a sugar, or pure fructose. None of them is appetizing to me, and all of them make the cost per cup of cocoa quite unpleasant.

43 servings of sugar-sweetened cocoa in a canister will run you around six bucks, and it's no more complicated than a K-Cup if you know how to operate a spoon.

I feel like I've tried every hot cocoa there is in the k-cups. While I do think this is the best hot cocoa so far, it still isn't great. I'm not sure what it is, but all of the cocoa k-cups seem to have a weird taste to them. It's almost like there is artificial sweetener in them,, but I know there is not.

I set it on the smallest cup setting for cocoa. This has more body to it than others.

I'm still waiting and hoping that Dunkin' Donuts will put out their hot cocoa in a k-cup. There really is nothing better than that.

If you want a k-cup hot cocoa, I would def. recommend this over all the others.

Everyone in my family likes hot cocoa. I was running plain water through my k-cup maker and using hot cocoa from a canister but my kids didn't really get the right measurements and more often than not we would have overflow. So I decided to try this for my kids and it makes a perfect cup every time. No overflow. The taste is good, its creamy with enough cocoa to water ratio for my kids. I will be ordering this product from now on for my family.

In the interest of product comparison, we have ordered Timothy's white hot chocolate, and Green Mountain Hot cocoa, Timothy's was great, but pricy, and Green Mountain didn't really taste all that great to our family. It had a watered down taste to it.

These Grove Square Hot Cocoa flavors are by far the best tasting we have found for the Keurig. We took a chance on these due to the high review ratings and it was a pleasant surprise that all three flavors are really good.

Dark Chocolate My favorite, very good even on the "large" cup setting

Milk Chocolate Excellent on the "small" cup and good on the "large" cup setting

Peppermint Everyone likes this one, on either cup size setting

These do contain Sucralose in addition to sugar, I don't notice the taste but my wife does (but she still likes them).

Highly Recommended!

Excellent product! A tip from the Keurig people: shake the K-cup before using it. This prevents the cocoa from clumping and results in more flavor.

Ola Granola, Cranberry Orange Pecan, 9 Ounce

Ola Granola, Cranberry Orange Pecan, 9 OunceI got a free sample of this and am placing an order. The Cranberry Orange Pecan was my favorite of the three flavors. HUGE pecans are in each handful. It's not too sweet and has no artificial ingredients. It's a great treat for the kids after school.

Nature's Path Organic Smart Bran, Psyllium & Oatbran Cereal, 10.6-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)

Nature's Path Organic Smart Bran, Psyllium & Oatbran Cereal, 10.6-Ounce BoxesI try a lot of high fiber / low sugar cereals, and this one is the best yet. It has a mild, slightly sweet flavor, and you cannot tell there's 13g of fiber per serving. Also...I find it really fills me up, which is unusual for cold cereals. Good sprinkled on yogurt as well.

This is a GREAT tasting and HEALTHY cereal which I enjoy for my breakfast almost every day of the week. Kudos to to Nature's Path for producing a cereal that tastes good and really is healthy! Almost all other cereals including so-called "healthy" high fiber ones have HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP as one of the principle ingrediants.

HFCS is suspected of contributing to metabolism disorders, diabetes, high blood pressure, elevated triglycerides, heart disease and obesity. It's present in MANY manufactured foods and beverages, but NOT in Organic Smart Bran. Read more about the suspected dangers of High Fructose Corn Syrup here:

I buy this product from Amazon by subscription. That way I always have it in stock, and the price is considerably lower than what I would pay at my local supermarket.

Smart Bran by Nature's Path delivers 51% of the RDA for fiber--what a great jump-start to your day! I would not eat this cereal, even with the fiber advantage, if it didn't taste so good---in fact, I would eat it even if it didn't have 13 grams of fiber per serving.

I am a middle aged women and for the past ten years have had what is called Irritable bowel syndrome. I have been to Drs and have tryed all kinds of medications. I have been eating this cereal almost five days a week for the past five years and I no longer have bowel issues. It has made me regular and no more constipation or bloating.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I first tried Smart Bran. I love its crunchy texture and great flavor, all the more because it is low in sodium and low in sugar without resorting to using Aspartame. The fact that all of the ingredients are organic is a definite health plus. I have been eating Fiber One original (the "twigs") for years because it seemed to be the only really high fiber cereal (14 grams)and was not loaded with sugar in one form or another. It is sweetened with Aspartame, however, contains corn oil, guar gum and a few other less-than-desireable ingredients, and is primarily corn bran. Smart Bran is composed of Oat Bran which has been shown to help reduce high cholesterol. I haven't heard anything about corn bran in that regard. Smart Bran also contains psyllium in a very tasty form & works great for keeping the lower digestive track functioning efficiently. I mix a rounded quarter cup of Smart Bran with fresh fruit and cottage cheese for my breakfast most mornings and find it's a great way to start the day. Buying it through Amazon in a 6 pack saves me more than $1.50 per box over local supermarket prices, and I don't have to worry about it being out of stock. I highly recommend Smart Bran, and look forward to incorporating it in my baking as well.

Bewley's Dublin Morning Tea, 80-Count

Bewley's Dublin Morning Tea, 80-CountI enjoy Bewely's enormously. I drink a variety of teas from the "fancy fruity" type to the "high mountain picked by monkeys in the mist" teas but I always come back to Bewley's for an excellent sit down and drink to enjoy tea. It's great with food, it's great by it's self. it's good without any additives, or fabulous with a bit of honey and soy milk. It's a steady, reliable daily drinkable tea!

About seven years ago I quit drinking coffee. I happened to be in Ireland at the time, switched to Dublin Morning Tea and have never looked back. I've tried a lot tea, but this one is perfect-full-bodied and a tiny bit smokey, but no perfume. Thank you Bewley's, thank you Africa, thank you internet for getting each and every day off to a perfect start. Two bags in a giant mug of steaming water, an inch of milk and the world is a better place.

I couldn't do without this in the mornings. It packs the same punch as does coffee, but is more gentle on the stomach. Always quickly delivered. Thanks for a great product.

I absolutely love this tea and cannot do without at least 2 cups in the morning. My grocery store sells it so I get it there. However, it is great to see it here in case they stop carrying it. It is a strong tea, but is perfect for the mornings.

This blend was my first experience drinking Bewley's tea. I found that I liked it very much. Loved it,that is. There was one cup of it that I felt was probably the best tea I'd EVER tasted, but I've never been able to duplicate the flavor of that one cup! --Have found that my tea is best if I make it in a pot instead of a cup and carefully follow basic classic good tea-making instructions, i.e., pour boiling water in the pot to prepare it beforehand, then when tea-water is boiling, pour out the hot water from the teapot, put in tea-bags (1 to each 8 ounces of water), pour in the boiling tea-water, place the lid, let steep 4 or 5 minutes. It seems that Tea made in a pot comes out mellower, less harsh-tasting than in a cup. Still, I keep getting different flavor results with each different pot of tea I make. Very mysterious problem. Maybe I need to time the process precisely with each cup or batch and note down the results of each different timing, then see if the timing produces a consistent result every time.

(I used to flavor my tea with honey, but now I prefer Xylitol sugar substitute which is mild but satisfying, has less calories, and possibly is healthier.)

I also love Barry's Tea. Both Bewley's and Barry's are my super-favorites. (Not available in my grocery so am happy that I can order both brands through Amazon and can get super-saver no-shipping-fee.)

Organic English Breakfast, Box of 20 Wrapped Sachets

Organic English Breakfast, Box of 20 Wrapped SachetsThis tea is a bit light for me but I still love the product. I received it 5 days ahead of the scheduled delivery date with a few good surprises in the package... samples of other teas, coffee. Not only will I recommend Barrie House, I will definately buy from them again.

Farley's Rusk 150g

Farley's Rusk 150gI had assumed these would be shaped like rods to enable a baby to easily hold them they are in fact shaped like regular cookies, two inches in diameter, and our grandson is still unable to grasp them. Their content seems to be fine, but until his fine-motor skills improve they won't be very helpful.

Near East Roasted Pecan & Garlic Creative Grains Mix, 5.4-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12)

Near East Roasted Pecan & Garlic Creative Grains Mix, 5.4-Ounce BoxesJust about everything I've ever had from Near East is fantastic, and this Roaster Pecan & Garlic flavor is happily no exception. Very easy to make, and tastes great, this is an easy and healthy meal you can have ready in no time. I suggest mixing in fresh veggies and some lean meat for a complete meal, or serve this as a side with your favorite roast or grilled meat. Enjoy!

I rarely eat pre-packaged foods, but this roasted pecan and garlic rice is a staple in my diet. I tried the other Near East whole grain rices, but they didn't compare at all to this one. I buy this stuff in bulk and eat at least a box a week. It's easy to make, healthy (just watch the sodium content in the rest of the meal), and really easy to spruce up with a few additional ingredients. You really can't go wrong.

I almost dont want to tell people how wonderful this is.

I fear the price escalating beyond the high price at Amazon, and everybody buying every last box available.

No others compare to the ROASTED PECAN & GARLIC.

And can`t find it any place else.

ADDICTED.

I really like the flavors of this dish. Pecan and garlic are the main ones, with some of the nuttiness of the grains coming through as well. The only issue I have is the salt content, which is common in boxed grains. Now I find out it is kosher, too!

Cocoa Krispies Cereal, 16.5-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4)

Cocoa Krispies Cereal, 16.5-Ounce BoxesYou'll feel like a kid again after pouring yourself a bowl of Cocoa Krispies, adding the milk, and waiting for the cereal to "talk" to you. You'll be hearing the snap, crackle pop of your childhood.

An extra bonus is this cereal tastes chocolatey good while providing some healthy nutrition. Use low-fat milk to stay healthy or go decadent and enjoy your bowl of cereal with a bit of half-and-half. When using half-and-half the cereal will almost taste like milk chocolate.

Yum! Yum! Good!

Recommend.

I eat a bowl of these instead of candy when I get the urge for chocolate. They are whole grain rice, have vitamins and minerals, and do the job for me.
