Tony Chachere's Injectables Creole Style Butter Marinade

I made my first deep fried turkey last night. I generally use a pepper rub when I make turkey, but the oil would have washed it off, so I used Tony Chachere's Style Butter Marinade and was dazzled by the results! Everyone agreed it was the best turkey they had ever had. I highly recommend giving this product a try.

Please note--this is a butter marinade, not a spicy Cajun marinade. It's wonderful, but if you are looking for the heat, you may want to look at other alternatives. This was smooth and, as the name suggests, very buttery.

I tried this a couple years ago in a fried turkey. i wouldnt say its great (its better to make your own) but if youre a newbie to turkey frying and want something easy and simple then this is it.

my deep fried turkey using this Tony Injectable was the talk of the day, night, and next day!!!!! So good that attendees asked if they could PAY me next Thanksgiving and Christmas to make them a turkey. Unfortunately I didn't fry the 2 turkeys as a marketing attempt....lol. I must add that this was my very 1st attempt at deep frying turkey and I had more request for turkeys than I can count. The peanut oil cost just as much as the turkey, so maybe I will make a "business" out of this next holiday season. Just have to figure out how many turkeys can I get per gallon of peanut oil.

I will never roast or fry another turkey without using this! It makes the meat tastes as if it were marinated overnight!

The cherries were delicious and tasted no different then the one's with oil added. I'm glad I made the purchase and will purchase more in the future as I especially liked the individual containers I could throw into a purse or backpack for an on the go snack.

It is hard to find dried tart cherries that don't have a lot of added junk especially sugar. I picked these up because they do not have sugar added. They do have sulfur dioxide added as a preservative, but that is all. These are great tasting! The cherries are not hard and dry but softer and chewy. They have a great flavor. I happen to like sour things but my wife not so much. These cherries are sour enough for me but sweet enough for her so they meet both our requirements. Besides just eating out of your hand, they are good in cookies and other baking where you can substitute these cherries in place of raisins.

Irish Black Pudding 8oz

Received the black pudding yesterday. The dry ice had long ago evaporated and the pudding was only slightly cool to the touch.

Tried it this morning. Similar to Irish version but a bit more bland. Also, it contains substantially less grain filler . Closer to Canadian blood sausage than to Irish Black Pudding. It will do when you can't get the real thing.

This arrived at least a week late with no refrigeration. Upon opening the package, I found it was warm and smelled a bit strange. I would have sent it back, but it was stinking up my home and had to be disposed of. As for a refund, I'm still wondering if I want to banter with the monkeys who sent it. It took them long enough.

Arrived chilled. All of the dry ice packing had evaporated by the time I received it. I understand why the high price for shipping. The product is very good. Family had never tried anything like this. Actually used this in an apetizer for family Christmas gathering. Fried it oil-less, served on a cracker topped with goat cheese and cooked blueberries. Wonderful flavor. The spices linger on the tongue. Will buy from again. Highly recommended to try.

an overall good pudding spoiled by the use of way too much allspice. The spice overpowers the pudding. It's downright off putting.

Glutino Gluten Free Breakfast Bars, 7.1 Ounce

Being a cherry flavor enthusiast, I had high hopes for these. My first bar was quite burned. So it tasted a bit ashy. It was chewy and not the most pleasant consistency. The cherry jelly inside was kind of tough. It reminded me more of a cookie than it did a breakfast bar.

I'm going to try warming these for 15 seconds next time, and maybe it'll soften up and be more pleasant.

I'm waiting on test results, but have been giving the GF lifestyle a shot for the past week, due to some ongoing GI issues. This is the third fruit bar I've tried; the other two were Bakery On Main Apple & Cinnamon Soft & Chewy Granola and Enjoy Life Caramel Apple Chewy On The Go Bar. Bakery On Main's was OK. Enjoy Life's was pretty nasty.

And this Glutino Cherry Breakfast Bar just blew both of them out of the water.

I have pretty much no complaints. Sweet, soft, not particularly gritty, it didn't make a crummy mess on my desk, and it didn't taste nearly as dry or unpleasant as I was expecting. It was... well, yummy!

Admittedly, I don't have much basis for comparison to other GF bars; like I said, it's only been a week. But this was pretty darned good.
