Oskri Coconut Bar, Original, Gluten Free, 1.9-Ounce Bars (Pack of 20)

I have been a bit disappointed with one of my favorite snacks the last year or twoJennies Coconut Macaroons. For some reason they just have not been as good as I have experienced for the last decade or more that we have enjoyed them. I was disappointed as so many companies have compromised the original purpose of making non sugar laden snacks, including using carob in place of chocolate.

Jennies used to have bothusing honey instead of sugar.

Well, this past Christmas I got a package of Oskri Coconut bars. I was not sure what to expect as the ingredient list is pretty simpleBrown Rice Syrup and Coconut!

When i opened the first bar, it was complete excitement. These bars are DELICIOUS.

Not as overwhelmingly sweet like Jennies, these have a delicious sweetness that is subtle but fulfilling. The bars are wrapped and very easy to eat. Moistness is wonderful and the flavor is delightfully simple!

I liked these so much that not only did I end up getting a subscription of them, but I found out my mother did so too!

These are wonderful simple bars if you want a nice snack that is not overly sweet yet satisfying. I highly recommend them.

My husband loves this product and eats them frequently. I personally do not care for coconut but have found these to taste similar to the cocont part of an Almond Joy or Mounds candy bar without the super-sweetness. They consist of only two ingredients which is appealing to a few of our food conscience friends.

Coconut seems to be one of those things that people either love or hate. For me, I love it. I've always loved coconut since I was a kid.

These Oskri Coconut Bars (the original ones) are nothing but delicious coconut and rice syrup (to add sweetness and probably help with making the composition into the bar shape they are). These are like macaroons shaped into a bar except these bars aren't near as sweet or sticky as some macaroons nor do they have the multitude of ingredients many macaroons do. I like them.

One caution would be for diabetics and those watching their glycemic index and intake. Rice syrup can have a higher GI that table sugar so something to be aware of.

I do not know the origin of the coconut used in these bars and was not able to find any information on the Oskri website regarding ingredients used. I would like a little more disclosure on the company and the manufacture of the bars. I know the website talks about importing some of the Sesame bars (although they appear to no longer do this). Scant information on the company so I would really be a little more comfortable with more available information and the source (Country of Origin) of their ingredients.

Otherwise, a delicious bar which is well complimented with a couple squares of 90% Dark Chocolate by Lindt. Lindt Excellence Supreme Dark Chocolate 90% Cocoa, 3.5-Ounce Packages (Pack of 12)

these bars are very filling and very tasty! I originally found them at Marshalls and was thrilled to find them in bulk here on amazon.com. They're great for on the go days, and they really are filling.

Roland Steel Cut Oats, Quick and Easy, 24-Ounce Cans (Pack of 4)

This product is just rolled oats chopped up into little bits. Because they are rolled oats ground to bits the texture when cooked is slimy and mushy. Save your money.

Let me just state that I'm a huge fan of McCann Irish Oatmeal Steel Cut. I think its the best,but my kids find it too chewer and I switched to the same brand but Quick & Easy steel cut,cooks faster and softer,but still has some texture. I decided to try Roland steel cut Quick & Easy, a little more goowey, but still has some texture and pleasant taste, no stale odor.i find them satisfactory for the price,especially now with subscribe and November sale it came to $10.47. You cannot beat this price. in fact I'm going to order more before its sold out

I have been eating this oatmeal for years and really love it. Much more hearty and flavorful than regular oatmeal. I prefer the "quick cook" feature and recommend it.

First off, I think the person who gave this a item a one star review probably bought the wrong product. There is another Roland Steel Cut Oats that is just the normal steel cut oats. The "Quick and Easy" is made for people like me, who want something similar in the mornings, but do not have the time to spend cooking it for half an hour.

So, for a morning routine in a nutshell: Get up around 6, do a quick half hour workout, dump this into the microwave for 6 min on 50% power (and start the coffee at the same time), take a quick 10 min shower, and it's ready to be eaten when I'm done, and I'm ready to head off to work by 7 (7:30 if I hit the snooze button too many times).

I used to go with instant Quaker Oats, but after reading about how much better steel cut oats are for you, because they are less starchy and take longer to break down (to be honest, I'm not sure how much better the "Quick" ones are for you), I decided to give them a try. Now I am so used to the taste and texture, the reguar Quaker oats now seem too mushy (not a bad thing. I just prefer the steel cut ones now).

Anyway, I would love to give this product a full five stars, but I was able to find a bag of a different brand of oats that taste pretty much the same, for about three times less than this is currently being sold for (that included the 15% subscribe and save discount). It's basically just one huge bag that has the same amount of oats as the pack of four here.

So bottom line, five stars for the taste and convenience, two stars for the pricing and value when compared to basically the same product at CostCo.

This is not steel cut oatmeal that takes 30-45 minutes to cook. They cook in 7 minutes as such they are quick oats don't waste your money.

Nellie and Joe's 100% Key Lime Juice, 12oz glass

We lived in Miami in the 80's and this was on the store shelves there but I could never get it when I traveled somewhere else. Now it is!

Do not use plain old lime juice when a recipe calls for Key Lime, it is not the same. Nellie & Joe's is the best.

Here's the best recipe ever for Key Lime Pie:

2 egg yolks, beaten

1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup key lime juice

Pour into a graham cracker crust

The recipe doesn't even call for baking it. The lime juice thickens the milk and eggs. But I do bake it for about 10-15 minutes at 350º just to be sure.

Outside of squeezing lots of key limes (about 10 of those little guys), this is the way to go!

I made the pie and it taste just like the piece we had in Florida recipe is on the back of the bottle!

My Husband loves Key Lime Pie and I promised him that someday I would make him one. That day finally came. I bought a bag of key limes and squeezed each of them.(it took me about 45 mins. to do this by hand). The pie was delicious but I wanted to find a way less time consuming. I purchased Nellie and Joe's Famous Key Lime Juice, made a second pie and it was as delicious as the first one that I made. I am very happy with this product and will purchase it again.

the juice is great for pies and such, but I bought it to make key lime fudge. It never tasted lime-y enough. Oh well. Still a good product.
