Nellie and Joe's 100% Key Lime Juice, 12oz glass

We lived in Miami in the 80's and this was on the store shelves there but I could never get it when I traveled somewhere else. Now it is!

Do not use plain old lime juice when a recipe calls for Key Lime, it is not the same. Nellie & Joe's is the best.

Here's the best recipe ever for Key Lime Pie:

2 egg yolks, beaten

1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup key lime juice

Pour into a graham cracker crust

The recipe doesn't even call for baking it. The lime juice thickens the milk and eggs. But I do bake it for about 10-15 minutes at 350º just to be sure.

Outside of squeezing lots of key limes (about 10 of those little guys), this is the way to go!

I made the pie and it taste just like the piece we had in Florida recipe is on the back of the bottle!

My Husband loves Key Lime Pie and I promised him that someday I would make him one. That day finally came. I bought a bag of key limes and squeezed each of them.(it took me about 45 mins. to do this by hand). The pie was delicious but I wanted to find a way less time consuming. the juice is great for pies and such, but I bought it to make key lime fudge. It never tasted lime-y enough. Oh well. Still a good product.
