Post Selects Banana Nut Crunch Cereal, 15.5 oz (Pack of 7)

My local grocery store stopped carrying this item so I went to Amazon to get it. Ate all 7 boxes in a couple of weeks and ready to order another case! It has just the right crunch and the banana chips are amazing!

Great Grains Banana Nut Crunch cereal is really very good! Yum! I'm sorry that one reviewer no longer cares for it; but every time I open a new box of this cereal I get a great scent of the banana chips and nuts. It whets my appetite for slightly more than I intended to eat! I like that it has the fiber I need and it has iron, too.

The expiration date is always a while off; that's another plus.

It does have some fat, sugar, partially hydrogenated sunflower oil and carbs. (Uh-oh! I can't quite give it five stars because of this, in particular the partially hydrogenated sunflower oil.) If you're watching those (or anything else) closely for your diet, look first at the nutrition facts above to see if this cereal will fit into your diet.

I have to admit I love this cereal! It's great anytime of the day!

Once I first discovered this cereal, I stopped eating all others. It's just delicious. Yes it does not taste 100% like banana. It's more of just hint of banana flavor but that's okay. I love the clusters, flakes and nuts in it and sometimes I slice bananas and put in it and its just great. Medium rating I gave was because the prices that everyone lists to sell it on Amazon is insanely high. Pretty sure that's due to most grocery stores no longer carrying it which sucks. But I just saw on Wally World's online site, you can get the cereal for $3.18. And if you get up to $45 on your order, whether it's the cereal or anything else, the entire order is free shipping. So food for thought

Unable to buy this cereal around my home anymore, so I was glad to find I could finally buy it online somewhere. I love the taste and wish my local supermarket would stock it again.

The mouth feel of this cereal is good...nice and crunchy. The flavor is unremarkable with more banana smell than taste. Banana flavored products have often been accused of being pretty fake and overpowering and while I appreciate the subtle honesty of the taste, there is little punch. It would be a healthier and more gustatorily satisfactory experience to add a fresh banana to a whole grain cereal.

I bought these on a whim, and they're pretty good. There's no mistaking them for a dessert cookie, but they are moist and taste good. They taste a lot like a really good bran muffin, but with a more dense texture. My kids won't eat them, but that leaves more for me.

I ordered Erin Baker's fruit & nut cookies at a discounted price because Amazon said the item was near its sell-by date. I was nervous about doing so -afraid I might have to scarf down a dozen cookies all at once because they were about to expire. But the cookies arrived at the beginning of September, and the expiration date isn't until Nov. 11. Plenty of time, especially since these cookies taste so good, they won't last long!

I haven't tried any other Erin Baker cookies, but I definitely recommend the Fruit & Nut flavor. They have a spicy aroma and a chewy, moist texture, with just the right amount of tender fruit. The density reminds me somewhat of an Odwalla bar, but without the overpowering soy taste of an Odwalla.

These cookies can serve as a meal replacement. They are filling, and with more nutrition than you might think (6 grams of protein). The only reason I didn't give these cookies five stars is that they're a bit higher in calories (290) than a typical granola bar or protein bar. But taste-wise, they're just about perfect.

I am so addicted to these cookies! Love them! They are great for a meal substitute or snack . Not too sweet-just right. They are good for you too. What else could you want? No more dessert store bought cookies for us. One cookie and a glass of milk is pretty filling for me as the cookies are sizable. My son likes two at a time though. (Sometimes I do too!) We have disabilities in our home so 'easy' is a word we love. At first we tried the Morning Glory Cookies and loved those so ordered 4 more different kinds, caramel apple, banana nut, peanut butter with chocolate, fruit and nut . We all loved them all. The Caramel Apple went first though. My son's favorites are caramel apple, peanut butter with chocolate and banana nut. Frozen we heat in microwave 25 seconds. You really must freeze these because they are all natural. Someone said it reminded them of fruitcake but I didn't think that. I really like this one. I like the texture of the nuts in it. I want one right now but unfortunately we are out Darn it! It is not one of my son's favorites but mine and my Mom's. Do not hesitate to try these in any flavor. They are a bargain. We are getting the automatic monthly shipping next month which is even more of a bargain and will order probably 10 packages at least, for 3 people. I told you we love them!

IMPORTANT FOLLOW-UPI felt this was important to add. I had not finished my test yet so did not mention it before. I have a rare bile duct disease from a "botched' surgery. I have to be very careful what I eat or I get terrible pains and cramping and am prone to getting pancreatitis. The list of what I can eat is very short. I loved these so decided to eat mostly just the cookies for a week, if I could, without having any pains and still feel like I always do , which is really pretty awful. I felt they are nutritious and I would drink LOTS of liquids with them as the fiber can be very constipating, and of course, take vitamins. Not only did I feel better and had more energy than before but I had NO stomach pains at all. I can't remember the last time when I have gone a week without pains. I expected some but there were none. I will say, I did not miss other foods either and actually craved these cookies. I love sweets but have to be careful and these are enough sweet to satisfy me. My son brought a cake home and I found it to be almost sickeningly sweet and no nutritional value. With the cookies It just feels like I am eating well and enjoying it immensely at the same time. (Oh, I was 'regular" as well). These will continue to be a large part of my diet. It is so wonderful to feel better, have more energy and not have the horrible pains. Now if I can afford to buy as many as I need and for my Mom and son! I really need at least 5 cookies most days (3 meals a day plus 2 snacks) if I eat nothing else . Actually the price is very affordable for most at about 1.00 a cookie and less if you get automatic ordering which I am going to do at the first of every month. I can't believe I just now heard of these on Amazon! I am thankful to Erin for developing these cookies which are literally changing my life. God bless you Erin, and your business.

I bought Erin Baker's breakfast cookies for my teenage daughters who are in swim team and leave for practice early in the morning. This made for a very convenient breakfast for them after their practice and morning workouts! Paired with milk or a piece of fruit, this was definitely a filling and satisfying breakfast for them.

We enjoy the moistness, density and great flavor of fruit and nut. We have tried other flavors, but this one rates top of the list. We also feel it's a healthy option for "on the run" mornings.

They taste great. I prefer the Cherry Pomegranate, but my wife loves these. The thing is, remember that Organic doesn't mean healthy. They are a great, sweet snack, but they shouldn't replace a meal. Made with real butter and sugar still means lots of fat and empty calories. So enjoy, just know you're eating a treat and not a healthy meal replacement pastry (if one even exists.)

its great for making bread, my mom loves to bake with it! She says she would buy it again. I am not a baker/cook so that is only my moms opinion. But shes happy, so i'm happy.

I'm not sure what else to say, but it is a very tasty syrup. It comes in a pretty standard bottle, but it was packet very well and arrived in fine shape.

First of all, let me say that I only use this to make bagels. However, it does a bang up job and I love the fact that it's organic. Would buy again. Unfortunately, like most sticky cooking/baking ingredients, the screw on lid gets really stuck on unless you clean it after each use or put plastic wrap over the opening before screwing the lid on. So beware it may take Herculean strength after the first use!

Nature's Path Organic Flax Plus Raisin Bran Cereal, 14-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4)

If you've never had flax seed oil before, you may notice a slightly "off" flavor to Nature's Path's version of raisin bran. I think even flax newbies will habituate to this taste, especially because of the familiar taste of the multi-grain flakes and the raisins (see other reviews). As one who sometimes puts a tablespoon of flax seed oil on top of oatmeal, the flax seed flavor was a welcome change from the usual cold cereal offerings.

THis cereal is pretty darn good for you> Obviously, you're gonna want to consult a doctor or nutritionist, and I am neither. From a lay person's pont of view, however, the 11 grams of fiber("11 WHOPPING grams," I should say--that's way more than oatmeal, and more than bran flakes or any other hot or cold cereal I've seen) 600 grams of Omegas and no saturated fat all sound very good for you. If offers 20% of the Daily Value of iron (see nutritional information below), without any added iron! Very rare. Perhaps it has to do with all those organic grains (and raisins): Organic whole wheat flour, organic wheat bran, organic oat bran, organic barley malt extract. (See below for a complete list of ingredients.)

Bought this from Amazon Warehouse Deals, 4 boxes for $9 and change. Nowhere in the description did it say that the boxes I would receive would expire within 2 months of purchase (purchased Sept 2012, box expiration (or is it sell by?) says Nov 2012). Either way this is utterly disappointing and misleading. The organic Kashi I purchased at the grocery store in Sept 2012 does not expire until May 2013. Normally Amazon does a great job but this felt really underhanded.

This is very good cereal. It is healthier than most raisin cereals. I like it being organic too. The flax is also a plus. In the end, it is just slightly less desirable than the NP Pumpkin raisin cereal. But you will like this cereal.

Oh, man do we love this cereal! My family tried the Natures Path Organic Flax Plus and loved it so much that I bought a case from Amazon and while I was at it, decided to try it with raisins. Oh my goodness! Crazy Good! I'm going to have to up the deliveries of this. Everyone loves it, and we use the Flax Plus on occation on it's own, but usually in parfaits now. TRY THIS CEREAL!!

I always have a packet with me for a quick snack or those "eat at the desk" lunches. My husband who is not on the gluten free diet loves this oatmeal.He says the oats taste fresher. And for my Celiac college student this product has made his life so much easier.He can have a healthy breakfast in his dorm room or at the food court with no worry of cross-contamination.Like me he always has a packet in his backpack for snacks or a quick lunch.

I love this oatmeal. If I wasn't GF, I would still get it! I wanted a way to have oatmeal for breakfast on those mornings where I had to get kids off to school early and I did not have time to make myself an omelette. I add a bit of butter and a bit more brown sugar and it tastes so delicious!

I even do subscribe and save for it so I can get it often and without needing to remember I am out.

I love this oatmeal...I have it everyday for breakfast with some raisins added in. It can be tough to find really tasty gluten free products, but this is good! Before switching to g-free I ate some of the other flavored instant pouch oatmeals for breakfast. Switching to this was a totally different kind of taste. Not bad, just different. So it took a little getting used to, but I really do love it! If you're not sold on this flavor, try one of the others.

These cookies are just wonderful! I've eaten them for years and have lost tons of weight, even though they're not a diet cookie. I just substitute one for my breakfast. They are loaded with fiber and satisfy you for hours. They're great to have in an emergency when you can't or don't have time to eat. I haven't had any flavor that I don't like, but the chocolate chunk raisin is my favorite. At Christmas time, there's a wonderful version with cherries in it. They're even great warmed in the microwave for a few seconds. Just love these cookies!

Amazon needs to start checking expiration dates on food products. On my last order of Erin Baker's cookies, both kinds of cookies I ordered were past the pull dates. And being the kind of person that doesn't check these kind of things, I didn't notice until my wife pointed it out after I had ate half of them.

I'll be looking from now on, though!

These breakfast cookies (which I eat for a fast-carry lunch) are the best of a good product. There is enough chocolate to please the chocoholic in me along with raisins to keep it moist. This is a great lunch.
