Blue Diamond Chocolate Almond Breeze Unsweetened ( 12x32 OZ)

Blue Diamond Chocolate Almond Breeze UnsweetenedI like these containers because you don't have to refridgerate until after you open them. They are more expensive than in the grocery store but, if you can't get out, it is great that Amazon has this option. AND, I, unlike what I thought, love almond milk!

Two Moms In The Raw Granola - Gluten Free Gojiberry / 4 pack

Two Moms In The Raw Granola - Gluten Free Gojiberry / 4 packThe first time I tried TMITR granola was at my local Starbucks. I am far from an organic-only eater and nothing about me says 'vegan for life', but I do like to try to fuel my body with products that I can pronounce the ingredients. When I saw the words goji berry and granola stamped on the package I had to try it. Yeah, so later (nice price gouge, Starbucks) I fell in love. This is NOT your typical overly sweet, crumbly granola. It is a semi-chewy bar and it is mildy sweet. All the sugar comes from the fruit and the agave nectar. If you are looking for the 'Quaker-type' granola bar then you will be sadly dissappointed. If you are looking for a great energy boost, a 'wow-I-feel-good-about-myself-for-eating-this' post nosh feeling, and an overall good taste this is it.

I recommend ordering from either Amazon or the main website (). The bag costs and has 4 blocks of the granola (at 2oz each). One block at Starbucks is . Either way is not cheap (you can buy an economy box of twinkies for ), but it is good for you.

Ahmad Tea Ceylon Earl Grey Aromatic Tea (White Tin Box) 500gr

Ahmad Tea Ceylon Earl Grey Aromatic Tea 500grI now have enough for the rest of my life! Loose tea from England or Ceylon is generally far superior to the floor sweepings used for teabags. Just had my first cuppa and this is the best I have had in years!

Seattle's Best Coffee 12-oz. Whole Bean Coffee, Level 4.

Seattle's Best Coffee 12-oz. Whole Bean Coffee, Level 4.This blend use to be called Henry's Blend. I've been drinking it for year (about 15). It is a very good blend, not too sharp, but not waterered down either. I use to be the only coffee drinker in the family until I started using Seattle's Best Henry's blend (now #4). My husband never drank coffee and never liked the taste until he tried Henry's. To this day, its the only coffee he likes. Same with my 2 adult children. It has to be Seattle's Best or nothing. I know Starbucks owns Seattle's best now, but they have NOTHING to compare that is as good as Level #4 (aka Henry's Blend). If ya want a good cup of coffee anytime of day, this is the coffee for you. I am dissapointed its becoming harder to find in the stores. Since Boarders is closing the Seattle's Best Coffee shops in Boarders are gone. The Grocery stores are carrying less and less Seattle's Best. I have a very hard time finding whole bean at all in the 4th largest city in the US. Sad. I hope to be able to find it online soon. I'm running low.......

I have been grinding and brewing my favorite coffee since 1988. Seattle's best No.4 is full bodied but does not taste burned like another famous Seattle based coffee co. Since there are so few Seattle's Best Outlets, I now buy all my beans online and they come right to my door.

Eat. Think. Smile. Baked Nutrition Bar, Orange Cranberry, 1.8-Ounce Bars (Pack of 12)

Eat. Think. Smile. Baked Nutrition Bar, Orange Cranberry, 1.8-Ounce BarsCustomer review from the Amazon Vine Program These bars are packaged fairly nicely; the individual sleeves have a cool, smooth exterior and a very Trader Joe's friendly design that's gender-neutral and age-appropriate for any adult, though I do not like that the box lays flat and takes up far more space in my pantry than it would if it stood up. But that's unfortunately the nicest thing I can say about them. The texture is on the dry side, and the flavor combination of the special cocoa blend with orange and cranberry ended up tasting very chalky -it would have been improved by being either sweetened more or sweetened less. And the bar, which is quite small, is a whopping 200 calories, 6 grams of fat, and 34 grams of carbohydrates -and with not large quantity of protein or vitamins/minerals to justify it. It may have the antioxidant power of a cup of green tea, but I'd find drinking that cup of tea quite a bit more pleasant (and easier on my waistline).

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Don't the name throw you. "Eat. Think. Smile" isn't the easiest brand to remember, but their baked nutrition bars are certainly memorable in terms of taste. I tried two varieties through the Amazon Vine Program, Oatmeal Raisin and Orange Cranberry, and I loved them both. The bars are soft, chewy, sweet without being sugary, and decently sized (a little bigger than a Clif Bar, perfect for a between meal snack or a before-exercise pick-me-up). Best of all, they were satisfying without being too filling. I was a little doubtful about how the addition of cocoa would affect the flavors, but as it turned out, the cocoa was only detectable as a pleasant undertone and didn't overpower the Oatmeal Raisin or Orange Cranberry.

When deciding whether or not to recommend a food item I have sampled for free, I always ask myself, "Would I actually pay for this product?" In the case of "Eat. Think. Smile" nutrition bars, my answer was a resounding "Yes. I prefer these to some of the other bars I buy at the store." Therefore, I am pleased to be able to recommend them to you. Eat. Think. Smile. And enjoy.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I was excited to try this product, as I usually have bars for breakfast, but it is getting harder to find ones that have good nutritional profiles in breakfast-appropriate (i.e., non-chocolate) flavors. I love cranberry, so this bar seemed nearly perfect, especially given that I checked out the nutritional content prior to ordering. At 4 grams, the amount of protein was a bit low for my liking, but the bar made up for this by being low in both sugar (12 grams) and saturated fat (1 gram) while being very high in fiber (7 grams).

The texture of this bar is the first thing that struck me as a bit odd. Although it is moist (i.e., as opposed to hard and crunchy), it is not chewy; in fact, it breaks apart easily and is a bit on the crumbly side. (I suppose it is somewhat similar to a a CLIF brand bar.) The taste, however, was quite disappointing: rather than the tart taste of cranberry or the sweetness of orange, I detected only a bitter flavor. It tasted almost as if the bar had been flavored with the bitter rind of the orange. There did seem to be little fruit pieces in the bar that may have been cranberry, but unfortunately, the unpleasant bitterness overpowered everything else.

I thought the first bar that I tried was just okay, but the second one seemed worse, and now I'm afraid I might have to toss the whole box (which I HATE to do--I hate being wasteful, so I might try dipping them in yogurt or something just to get through them). Perhaps another flavor by this brand would be better, but unfortunately, I can't recommend these.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The Orange Cranberry bars taste very similar to Fig Newtons; however, they are a tad bit chalky. I really liked the soft texture and the cocoa flavoring, but I couldn't taste any of the cranberry orange. I like the size and shape of the bar. It's not too big or small. In terms of nutritional value, I compared it to my preferred Luna bar. The Eat Think Smile bar is 51g and the Luna bar is 48g, so they are almost the same size. The calorie count is comparable (Luna 180 vs. Eat Think Smile 200) and fat content (Luna 5g vs. Eat Think Smile 6g), which is good. Where it falls short is in vitamins. My Luna bar has 20% vitamin A, 20% C, 30% iron, and 30% Vitamin E. The Eat Think Smart Bar has 0% vitamin A, 6% vitamin C , 6% iron, and no vitamin E. I am sticking with Luna.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program There are broadly three types of nutrition bars. One that attempt to emulate baked goods (cookie like), those that emulate candy bars (chewy, chocolatey) , and fruit & nut bars. These fall in the first (baked / cookie) category. In that category it is very tough to get protein content very high, so at 4 grams per serving, these bars do alright. Here is the rundown

200 calories

6 grams fat (1 gram saturated)

34 grams carbs

12 grams sugar

7 grams fiber

So with the decent fiber, and low saturated fat, these are a good choice among the baked/cookie bars. You'll need to supplement your protein intake elsewhere however.

I like the taste, and think the chocolate brings a lot to the game here.

The consistency is generally OK when eaten fresh out of the box, but if you throw these in a bag and they get any rough treatment you will be eating crumbles.

These are a good choice. However if you are carb conscious I would instead recommend Kind Fruit and Nut Bars Kind Plus Protein, Almond, Walnut and Macadamia 12 1.4 oz (40g) Bars (fruit and nut category) or Betty Lou's Almond Butter High Protein Balls, Gluten Free, 1.75-Ounce Packages (Pack of 18) ("candy bar" category)

McCANN'S Steel Cut Irish Oatmeal, 28-Ounce Tins (Pack of 6)

McCANN'S Steel Cut Irish Oatmeal, 28-Ounce TinsThis is the only oatmeal that my family will even consider eating. I make it in the crock pot overnight and it is always ready when we are. I use my small crock pot for the two of us. I start with a 1/2 cup of oatmeal; add a dash of cinnamon and a splash of vanilla; add a 1/2 cup of milk and 2 cups cold water. Place the lid on the crock pot and plug it in. It will be ready in the morning when you are. I let mine cook approx 10 hours. My small crock pot has no settingsjust off or on. We love to add some brown sugar and dried blueberries or Craisins at the table.

I make a bowl of McCann's every morning in the little crockpot for my breakfast; add a banana, and it's perfect!! Try it and you'll never eat 'the other stuff' again!!

I'll be honest, if you want a quick breakfast don't purchase this oatmeal. But, if you have time to spare or don't mind waiting for some "good eats", this is the oatmeal for you.

Step 1. pour some milk into a sauce pan; Step 2. add a dash of salt [or salt to taste]; Step 3. add oatmeal, making sure it stays covered by milk; Step 4. turn on stove to low heat [not too low but definitely not too high, as you don't want the milk to evaporate/dry out leaving you with tough oats in pan] and cover pan; Step 5. do some little cleaning to built up appetite making sure to ck on progress periodically; Step 6. add more milk if oats are still too tough and let it simmer for a little while longer; Step 7. get your ladle/just pour directing into a bowl add a few raisins/cranberries/your favorite dried fruit and ENJOY!

Perhaps some of you are like I was... wanting to take advantage of the health benefits of oatmeal, but uncertain how to prepare it so that you and your family will actually eat it. After experimenting a bit, and reading lots of recipes, I've come up with a simple, yet tasty way to prepare McCANN's Steel Cut Irish Oatmeal. Give it a try, and you may decide that oatmeal can be a healthy and delicious addition to your breakfast menu.

Recipe:

Start by bringing 3 cups of water to a boil (about 3 minutes in the microwave).

In a medium saucepot, melt 1 tablespoon of butter then add 1 cup of oats. Toast the oats on medium heat for about 3 minutes.

Add the boiling water to the toasted oats and simmer for 25 minutes. Don't stir. It should get to a soft bubbling simmer.

If it boils to hard, you stove is set too hot, so turn it down or it will burn.

Add 1 cup of milk (or can do with a mix of milk and buttermilk).

Cook an additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Makes 4-5 good size servings with excellent texture and consistency. It thickens once it sits a little bit. You can increase or decrease the milk to adjust the consistency as desired. You can also save it for up to a week in the refrigerator without much difference in taste. Just store in small sealed bowls. Each can of McCANNs oatmeal makes about 16-20 servings.

Everyone likes to top and sweeten their oatmeal differently (sugar, brown sugar, maple syrup, raisins, etc.). Only add the toppings when you're ready to eat it, not before storing in the refrigerator. For my serving, I like to add 2 tsp of brown sugar, a sprinkle of cinnamon, about 1/2 tbsp of butter, and then top with chopped pecans. Very tasty. Hope you enjoy!

Please be kind enough to indicate if reviews are helpful.

Ruth's Chia Goodness, Apple Almond Cinnamon, 12 Ounce

Ruth's Chia Goodness, Apple Almond Cinnamon, 12 OunceI just had this stuff for breakfast today and I love it. I like the funny texture it has. All one has to do is have some fresh fruit and yogurt and Bob's yer Uncle. LOVE IT!!! I will buy this again. By the way, It beats having to buy it from Canada where the shipping is almost 2x the amount of the product.

I love the plain version of this cereal. Sofar I have only had it cold. I mix it with berries and plain yogurt and spread it thickly on toast. Even my husband loves it! I like all the nutrition and fiber too.

After the high reviews on this product, I figured I should try it out... Maybe I had raised my hopes a little too high, because although this is does have a pretty good taste to it, I don't think it deserves quite 5 stars. You can really taste the apple flavor it in (a little sour), so if you like that flavor in your cereal, then you might like this product! I mixed this first with water, until the chia seeds became a goo-like substance didn't like the taste of that that much. Then I just ate it on its own that tastes great, actually! Eating it plain by the spoonful is a great snack. I haven't tried it with hemp milk or almond milk quite yet, but that might also be a great combination.

Lyons Original Irish Tea. 80 Bags

Lyons Original Irish Tea. 80 BagsI first tried this unforgetable tea while visiting Ireland for the first time. I was hooked. I never went back to coffee again. It is mild without the usual after taste that you sometimes get with tea. Try it with whole milk for a most satisfying flavor. It is the best tea I have ever had. Since returning to the US I have looked for it everywhere and will definately be using amazon for my future purchases.

I grew up in Ireland. We're passionate about what we drink and tea's no different. You're either a Lyons drinker or you're wrong (AKA a Barry's drinker). Most tea over here in the US just doesn't have the same punch as Lyons. That's not to say that it's unrefined. It makes a very smooth cup. Try it you won't be disappointed.

I just ordered two boxes of Lyons tea (160 bags), which is great everyday tea, but the expiration date is too close -only 2 months away. I'm not so happy with that. I need a few more months to drink that much tea.

This is the best tea I have ever had. Unfortunately the distribution wars make its availability spotty in Boston, where one would expect it to be readily available. When the major markets do have it in stock, the price is more than 20% lower that listed here, and smaller markets occasionally carry it for even less. Lobby your store manager.
