It is a bit sugar-y, but my family is hooked on this stuff! I don't find it gets mushy faster than any other chex cereals I've had. The apple flavor is subtle, with the cinnamon being a bit more prominent, which I like.

Chex get very soggy very quickly. Unless you slurp this stuff down then you're going to have a bowl of mush before you're through. Worse yet, the texture of the `apple cinnamon' coating is very gritty and so you'll have a bowl of sandy mush. Flavor-wise, the cereal is decent. It doesn't have a strong apple flavor or even a strong cinnamon flavor. In fact, once the cereal sits a few and the coating starts to dissipate into the milk you're kind of left with plain old Chex mix in a bowl of sugary milk. I really expecting something great here, and I was excited to dig in, but after my first bowl I found myself forcing myself to finish the box since no one else in the house would touch it.

Blech. I had high hopes for this cereal but it fell flat due to far too high sugar content and exceeding sweetness. The pieces seem to be double-coated in the flavor powder; they are oddly "fuzzy" and turn your milk into a cesspool of sugar slop. The pieces get mushy right away, too, making breakfast even more unappetizing. This would be much better if they threw in an even number of unflavored pieces to balance out the sweetness and overall flavor. Also, it may be gluten-free but it gave me a bit of a tummy ache. Won't be buying it again.

Weetabix Cereal 24 Pk

My Son loves this stuff. I serve it with whole milk and organic demera sugar. Made from wheat and barley I am confident that it is a healthy breakfast lunch and dinner. He can feed himself if he is hungry. Hide the sugar and only leave out enough. He ate the better part of a box in one sitting and for a short period it was the base of his food pyramid. Until the cupboard was bare.

This stuff is hard to find. When we saw some in the local supermarket we bought it all but they would not restock it. Amazon cancelled my order due to availability too. I will not pay ten bucks for one box of cereal so it is too good for me.

Good news it is made in the United States too and distributed through Barbara's the Puffin Cereal people. I ordered a case but you may be able to find Weetabix in the organic food isle next to the Puffins.

My two favorite granola bars are Kashi chewy bars, all with the typical 7-grain mix: first Trail Mix, then Cherry Dark Chocolate; my spouse always opts for Dark Mocha Almond. To me, the Trail Mix bars are ideal: not too sweet, plenty of almonds, and good oats-and-granola crunch. The slightly sticky matrix is only enough to hold the bar together, without overwhelming the ingredients. The 140 calories (a bit less, for the other two bars) are nicely balanced: 6 g protein, 4 g fiber, 6 g sugars, and 5 g fat. No high-fructose corn syrup, no saturated fat, no cholesterol; low sodium (95 mg). Food, instead of candy (like the usual breakfast granola bar, with only 1 or 2 g protein) or medicine (the high-protein or high-fiber sports bars). I love the taste of Kashi Trail Mix, enough that I have to ration myself to two a day. Maybe the 1-star reviewer got a bad batch? Or maybe it's just that tastes differ.

I order these for an office of 100. They are one of the standard ones I always stock, because they are the CEO's choice. I had an employee, who twice told me these were "bad news" and tasted awful (obviously wanted me to stop ordering). I shrugged it off because we do run out of them so it's obvious some people like them. I ate one after she was so adamant concerning how bad they taste, and I have no complaints. I don't really understand how someone can hate them, but based on this employee, and the one star review on here, I guess opinions vary greatly on the issue.

I would have thought that perhaps this employee doesn't like Kashi bars in general, they aren't as high in sugar and other things that make things taste good but are bad for you. But I know she would eat the other Kashi choices. Weird!

This is my daughter's absolute favorite breakfast food! She is 3 years old, but has been enjoying it since about a year & half. My latest shipment (4/13) had new packaging, which alerted me to review the ingredients. The product is of high quality, and has a rich full flavor.

Delivery was unexpectedly fast.

The only negative I would like to see addressed is that the product is packed in a heavy paper sack. While this may be commonplace, a significant improvement would be to have an inner liner of a heavy weight, food grade, plastic bag that can be sealed after each time you open the bag. Could be either a zip-lock bag or a twist tie closure... doesn't make any difference... just need a practical way to preserve the freshness of the product and keep the bugs out of it.

This is a health and spoilage issue... 50#'s of oatmeal is a lot of product and needs to either be repackaged by the consumer in small food grade bags or containers (very expensive and hard to find}. I am a single senior who likes to buy staple goods in bulk to save money and provide food security. Long term storage is a big issue with people like me.

This is an amazing deal for how much oatmeal you get. Do not underestimate how much 50 pounds of quick oats is going to look like. It's a giant bag... When you open that box, you will probably laugh at yourself for being so excessive... However, if you're like me and you have a family that eats oatmeal every morning, you'll probably get through it in a few months. I recommend buying some food storage buckets to keep it fresh and prevent the bugs from getting in. The product quality itself is really good, but not "wow" good. There is a slightly odd aftertaste, but I barely notice it and I have a strong sense of taste and smell. Their customer service is awesome! My first bag was ripped and spilled upon delivery, and they took good care of me to replace it.

My son loves this "soup". The consistency of the soup is basically the same as thick, smooth baby food (it just doesn't have any chunky bits of food in it as most Stage 3 baby foods do, which qualifies it as a "soup" apparently). When my son was 8 months old, he had a hard time adjusting to chunky foods (gagging and choking, etc.), but I needed to buy him some protein-rich baby foods, as we were weaning.

I was also buying the Sweet Potato and Chicken meal (stage 2), but I really wanted the larger serving that this jar offered. Upon comparing the nutritional content on the two jars, I discovered that this soup has as much protein per serving as the actual meal labeled as Sweet Potato and Chicken perfect!

I was slightly concerned that the "cinnamon" might cause him gas issues or digestive discomfort (it does me sometimes and he is a spitter-upper), but he has no problems whatsoever. And he LOVES the taste. He will eat a whole jar in no time flat (at room temperature, me spooning it in).

My son is now almost 14 months old. He is in the 95% for height and 55% for weight. He has never really adjusted to chunky baby food, which I can't explain, as he now eats finger foods, bananas, berries, pb&j, mac and cheese, chicken, etc. just fine self-feeding. But I still use these Earth's Best Soups pretty much daily to supplement his dinner, to make sure he keeps his weight up to how fast he is growing. He eats on his own for awhile and then I feed him a jar of soup. He still loves them and it is great having an easy source of protein on hand.

I've been buying Nature's Path gluten free foods for a number of years, and have been fully satisfied. I doubt you'll find Nature's Path products any lower anywhere else, particularly when you consider no sales tax and free shipping if the order is large enough. Customer service is excellent and very friendly (much nicer than we typically get "down here" in the States they're a Canadian company up in B.C.). My daughter who has Celiac had a severe reaction after eating this and the Mesa Sunrise Cereal also by Nature's Path for several days. This was the only new food in her diet so I checked the website of Nature's Path for more information. it turns out they make their GF cereals on the same equipment as the gluten ones. They promise they wash the equipment and throw away the first part of the cereal made yet there was still enough there for my daughter to react. I would never have bought this cereal if I knew that it was made in the same room much less the same equipment. Some companies are ethical and will admit when their food is processed in the same area or on the same equipment so people like my daughter have a choice of whether to risk their health or not.
