I have loved shredded wheat since I was a kid it's such a good crunchy backdrop for fresh summer berries or peaches, or bananas or dried fruit in the winter. Yesterday I was at my local grocery looking for just plain shredded wheat not a SINGLE box was not frosted with some kind of sugary coating. It is no wonder there is an obesity epidemic in this country :-( Decided I'd check online to see if I could obtain it that way as opposed to in the market and was delighted to discover that Amazon not only carried it, but it's a Prime item! I like the bite size pieces a little more than the larger biscuits. I had a little cinnamon sugar sometimes, but usually eat with almond milk and that helps give a little more flavor.

OvaEasy Hearty Wholesome Powdered Eggs (1) #10 Can

I used up one envelope experimenting in the kitchen and most of another one on a five day kayak camping trip on the Wisconsin River.

The only thing I can't do with it is eggs over easy. It scrambles up just fine. The taste and texture is pretty much perfect. I used it to bake a cake and meatloaf. Both came out fine.

If I rolled the envelope up tight and wrapped it with a rubber band, it stayed good for over a week. By then it started to taste old. It was still edible but didn't taste fresh.

The only complaint I have is that when they say a dozen eggs to a packet, they must mean a dozen really really small eggs. By my estimate, their measurements for three eggs is (maybe) barely two normal eggs. They lose one star for that.

Otherwise it's exactly what it claims to be. Good tasting eggs without refrigeration. Out there on an island in the middle of the river with a big plate of scrambled eggs for breakfast, every day. I had to use spam singles for the meat but it was still a good hearty breakfast easy and quick. I used the last of the envelope for lunch on the last day.

I can't always get to the market, so these are a perfectly acceptable substitute. I like having them around, and being able to give to family.

I especially enjoy the Sun Butter bar. I'd give it 4 or more stars if they didn't go cheap on portion size. Be aware that each one of these packets is easily 40% air. The actual bar is about the length of an adult thumb. Very skimpy portions. For some reason it seems as though they shrunk the size only in the last 2 years although I could be mistaken.

This is a unique tasting oatmeal blend. It is not too sweet. Can's buy it where I live so I bought it on Amazon. Just a wee bit pricey but worth it.

I love oatmeal. I also love oatmeal with apples but most boxed oatmeal's containing apples have way to much cinnamon for my taste.

I have been making oatmeal similar to this with Bob's Red Mill Organic Oats Rolled Regular, 32-Ounce (Pack of 4), Diced Dried Apples, 8 oz (226 g) and cranberries for years. When I saw this in a local grocery store for a couple of bucks per box I decided to try it. It is delicious and very similar in taste to my home-made version. If it has cinnamon I can't taste it. It is slightly sweetened but not quite enough for me so I add honey and about a tablespoon of Peak Instant Full-Cream Dry Whole Milk Powder, 400-Grams. Oh so delicious! The best couple of bucks I've spent on instant oatmeal in a long time!

Earnest Eats Granola Plank, Maple Almond Crunch, 3-Ounce Planks (Pack of 6)

These bars taste great and are good for you. They aren't loaded with sugars and preservatives like the ones on the grocery shelves. Instead, they're loaded with healthy stuff that I appreciate, but for my 5-year-old it's all about the yummy factor. (I have trouble getting him to eat breakfast before school, but he happily devours one of these in the morning.) Just out of the package is great, but heat in the microwave for a few seconds to make it even better. Crumble in yogurt (or ice cream!) or eat it on the run. Looking forward to trying the other flavors. FYI The smaller, square bars are also quite good, but the planks get my top rating.

Another over-priced "plank" by Ernest. Why do people like these? This is the 2nd flavor I've tried and find them to be big, thick "planks" of puffed up cereal with a few almonds sprinkled in and a few dried fruit pieces. When these are gone I'll never repurchase. High sugar and carbs, way too much money and not worth it. Any chewy granola bar is a better deal. 2 Servings each? Then double the fat content to 14 grams and nearly 60 grams of carbs and 28 grams of sugar if you indulge and eat the whole thing! Holy.. Anyway, at only 6 per box you are ransoming your mother to buy these.

Heartland Malted Vanilla Belgian Waffle - All In One, Complete Mix - 80 Ounce Bag (Pack of 1) 5 lbs.

I ordered the Heartland Blueberry Waffle Mix, the Heartland Malted Vanilla and the Carbon's Malted Original. This is by far better than the Carbon's in my opinion. The batter tastes like cake batter. I was expecting the waffle to be sweet like cake, but it was just a really good waffle. My 15 year old and I liked the Blueberry mix the best. My 11 year old and 17 year old liked the Vanilla better. I know others have mentioned liking the Vanilla better so you are just going to have to try them both.

The mix could not have been simpler. 3 parts mix to 2 parts cold water. Mix. Let sit for 15 minutes. One thing that I've seen mentioned here and it bears repeating. After it sits for 15 minutes, you are going to have to add a bit of water to the mix as it sets up too stiff. Just a tablespoon or so should get it to waffle consistency. Another thing mentioned is that your go to ladle is probably going to put too much on the waffle iron. My first waffle spilled out of the iron. (That is when I tasted the batter.) The next waffle, I was careful to put a few tablespoons less on the iron and I got a perfect waffle.

3 cups of mix yielded two Belgian waffles.

I am using the Waring Waffle Maker Pro. Setting 3 1/2. Cook until only the faintest wisp of steam is coming from the iron. You don't want to leave too much moisture in the waffle in case you want to freeze them. Moisture creates water crystals that damage the waffle.

This is a complete waffle mix. You really just have to add water. We add regular water at first, and at the very end Seltzer water, this way you get a very fluffy excellent waffle as a result. We highly enjoy this waffle mix and would recommend to any waffle lovers out there.

This stuff really is very good. The picture says it makes 15 waffles but the bag you get makes 37. That's less than $0.50 each for a jumbo waffle! Unlike other mixes, you only have to mix with water and let it fluff for 15 minutes. No need to add egg and oil. It makes it much more convenient to wip up some on a whim. The first batch scared me a little bit because it mixes up really runny but it cooked up great. I recommend it highly.

Easy mix with just water and 15-minutes later one terrific waffle ready for the waffle iron. Ordered both this Waffle mix and the Waring Pro WMK600 Double Belgian-Waffle Maker product from Amazon.com. I was very excited to try out this waffle mix and my new waffle maker right away, so we had breakfast for dinner tonight. We thoroughly enjoyed these waffles, Wow, really easy and delicious. Light crispy outside, fluffly on the inside. I see all kinds of yummy possibilities.

We were on vacation and the hotel we were staying at offered free breakfast. One of the items were make your own waffles. Well we could not get enough of them they were so good! We kept going back and making more! They were so crispy on the outside and light & tasty on the inside! These are great. I am not sure how they reduce the sugar but they taste the same as regular to my family. The size is the same as the regular sugar bars and they don't use sucralose or one of the other sugar replacements (Which is great, because I can taste that)

Our 2 year old loves to have a bar as a treat, this is still sugary, but at least it is slightly less sugar :)

Even though these are reduced sugar, they still are very tasty and sweet. There are three varieties in the pack. The peanut butter version is my favorite in the assortment, but the chocolate chip and cookies & cream versions are also quite tasty.

I like that the texture is a little firmer than the regular Quaker bars. Still soft and chewy, but the bar holds together better. It's also less sticky than other bars I've tried (although it still is sticky to the touch).

While the nutritional content is certainly far from perfect, it's a much better snack than a candy bar, especially with regard to calories (100 to 120 per bar depending on the variety). Definitely worth a look if you want a lower cal but still tasty snack bar.

Emerald Breakfast on the Go! Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal Nut Blend, 7.5 Ounce

We bought this for a recent overseas flight as a snack, not so much as actual breakfast.

We packed several of these rather small pouches, thinking that one would probably need to eat the contents of more than one to feel satisfied. Not so! Great tasting though I prefer the 3 cereals. Not as thick as 3 cereals, so it is good when you want that consistency.

Received a flat of this product on a subscription. I was hoping to save money by buying in bulk and was looking forward to the convenience of having the product shipped on a scheduled basis.

The very first carton I opened contained a thick and lumpy fluid. It did not smell bad or have a distinct taste it just was not what I expected to come out of a carton that should have contained soy milk. Yes I did shake the carton well before opening it.

The second carton was fine.

The bottom line is that the loss of one carton from the flat eliminates the whole value proposition of buying in bulk and on-line. I would avoid this brand.

Update: Score so far for the pack of 12: 3 bad 8 good. One more to go!

I really like unsweetened soy milk and I was thrilled when I saw this product on Amazon. Not only is it unsweetened, it's also organic, and you can get it for cheaper through the subscription service. It's super convenient to just get a box of 12 cartons or so every month instead of having to lug them home from the grocery store.

I did recently discontinue this subscription for two reasons. First, I saw that the regular store-brand unsweetened organic soy milk is cheaper per carton than this one (even if I factor in the subscription discount). Second, and more important, I wanted to switch to a soy milk that is fortified with certain vitamins (i.e. B12, since I don't eat animal products).

That being said, I really liked the taste of that one and the convenience of the subscription service.

I cannot tolerate milk so this soymilk is ideal for me. It's fine for coffee and in anything that will overpower it. By itself it's not that great. Ii makes awesome protein shakes: 3 cups of soymilk, 2 scoops of soy protein powder and 3 to 4 tbsp of agave gives you 20gr of protein per cup. I have no sugar spikes with this drink and my stomach is happy with it.

I have to second what Croy said, I use this with All the Whey chocolate flavored whey protein and an electric mixer every weekday morning for breakfast. 3 cups & 2 scoops is just about right, adjust to thickness preference. I prefer it to be very thick, I find it tastes better and has more protein that way. On its own this soy milk is OK.
