I can say that the protions are small. I store such foods reckoning on feeding several children and grandchildren. Given the small can sizes, they wouldn't last long. The sturdy packaging makes it possible to transport them without undue care. I can throw them in the back of the vehicle without concern. They deserve a good try and I will do that shortly. They are expensive and the shipping is pricey, and I will not purchase more unless I find the quality outstanding. One might consider single larger cans a beter buy.

I add 3 tablespoons to my oatmeal in the morning, can't taste it at all. If you read the nutrition facts and are concerned about the fat content, it is all good fat and nothing to be concerned about. I would like to get more for my money, but this isn't really a product that i can pick up in the grocery store living in south Carolina. I do recommend this product of you prefer adding a little something to what you already eat instead of taking pills that smell like fish.Read Best Reviews of Canada Hemp Foods, Organic Hemp Seed Hearts Here

1) If you've never had it, you're probably not going to buy a 4-pack. More likely, you'll go to your local market and buy one box.
2) If you have had it and you're looking at this item, you're trying to decide if you want to buy a 4-pack.
I have a 4-pack delivered every month via "Subscribe & Save" and here's why:
My local groceries carry the smaller 12oz boxes for about $3-$3.50, the 16.7 oz box is usually about $5-$5.50. Bear in mind, this item is a 4-pack of 16.7 oz boxes.
The subscribe & save option from Amazon takes 15% off (did I also mention no shipping, no commitment) which lowers the $20 price tag to more like $17 for four boxes, or $4.25 per boxthat's almost a dollar off what my grocery charges!
So, I get the cereal I love, delivered to my door regularly and automatically, for almost a dollar less than what I'd have to pay if I drove to the store. It doesn't take a college education to know that's a deal! My mother lives in Colorado and is on a very fixed low income. If I send her money she won't use it so I have found I can help her by buying her groceries off Amazon and having them sent directly to her house and this enables me to be able to help her. THANK YOU Amazon for having products like this on your site. I hope you continue to work with companies and make this affordable to have groceries shipped this way and also to save us the hassels of going to the grocery store when we can have it delivered to our house for about the same cost as going to the grocery store.

I was just two pounds shy of my Weight Watchers goal when I fell off the weight loss wagon and gained four additional pounds. Life was busy, and I wanted a fuss-free way to lose those last pounds before swimsuit season. Since I enjoy Special K products, I thought I'd put the Special K 2-Week Weight Loss Challenge to the test. I ate Special K cereal for two meals, snacked on fruits and veggies (instead of the recommend Special K snack products) and made healthy dinner choices. I didn't expect to lose 6 pounds as advertised, since my weight loss had slowed from months of dieting and I was near my goal weight. To my surprise, I lost 6 pounds and have finally reached my goal weight!ABOUT THE DIET:
It's convenient and doesn't require much planning. However, it could get a little boring in the long run. It could also be difficult to meet daily nutritional requirements. Also, rapid weight loss could be difficult to maintain in the long run. If you've been dieting and just can't lose those last few pounds, or if you need to lose a few pounds fast for a big event, give Special K a try.
ABOUT THE CEREAL:
One can usually find a box of Special K in my kitchen cabinet. Most often, it is the Red Berries variety. I enjoy the Fruit and Yogurt flavor, as well, but the serving size is 1/4 cup less. The original flavor is also nice from time to time, but the Chocolatey Delight is just not a good idea, in my opinion. But back to the Red Berries. The cereal consists of the usual Special K flakes with dehydrated strawberries. Once I pour on my Silk Light soy milk, the berries plump up to add lots of real strawberry flavor. There are generous amounts of berries and the flakes stay crispy in milk. All in all, this is an excellent cereal that I highly recommend.

Kellogg's Special K Cereal, Red Berries, 16.7-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4), is a delicious cereal. Since Kellogg is number one -the number one producer of convenience food in the world --we know Kellogg will give us what we want while ignoring the things that do not matter to us.What do we want?
(1) Flavor. Those real freeze dried strawberries are so delicious that we are tempted to eat them dry out of the box and leave the cereal. The cereal tastes good too. It is sweet, and there is malt flavoring that we love.
(2) Nutrition. With 110 calories per cup, we can measure out a cup and use it for diet food. It has vitamin A, vitamin C, iron, calcium, B vitamins, and minerals.
(3) Grain. There are crispy rice and wheat flakes.
What does not matter to us? (Or does it?)
(1) Sugar. The cereal is loaded with it, but if we did not have it in the cereal, many of us would spoon in a generous application. The second ingredient is sugar. Is that cane or corn? Also listed in the ingredients is high fructose corn syrup.
(2) Nutrition. It is hard to stop with one cup full because we are used to feeling full. A cup of light cereal takes us through the motion of eating slowly . . . that's a plus . . . but does not satisfy the way whole grain cereal does. About the added nutrition: some of us don't need all of what it gives us, or maybe we really do prefer to take them in pill form so we know we exactly what we are getting. Many of us take in more iron than is considered healthy for our specific needs. What your physician will tell you about this issue may be surprising.
(3) Grain. If we are allergic to wheat, we need to pay attention to the label. Also there is corn in the form of fructose. What we are getting is highly refined grain products when whole grain would be better for our health by providing fiber.
With the price out of the range of what we usually spend on breakfast foods, I don't find it a good value.
Want Kellogg's Special K Cereal, Red Berries Discount?
I love this cereal and I eat it regularly, but at $20 for 4 boxes, you're paying $5 a box, which is outrageous. You can find it in stores for $2 a box, which means that you're paying a 150% markup. In short: great cereal, terrible price.

Makes great snack by itself, or quick refreshing addition to any snack or meal. fits perfect in lunch box. Part of any healthy lifestyle even great for vegans. **allergy alert made from almonds / nutsWow... talk about false and misleading advertising. Anyone in the know, knows carrageenan is considered carcinogenic... aka a cancer causing substance. And what about this "natural" flavor? Hey, arsenic is also "all natural" as is cyanide. In other words, simply because something is called "natural" does not mean it's good for your body.
Sorry Pacific Natural... your products are anything but. And it's a statement about how you try to fool your customers with your misleading labeling. I'll pass.I'm comparing this to Blue Diamond's almond chocolate drink. It gets bonus points for convenience as the only size I can find Blue Diamond in is 32oz, and these 8oz packages are very handy. As far as the flavor goes it's good, but not as sweet as Blue Diamond (which makes sense since it has 25% less sugar). Initially that turned me off, but I got used to it quickly. I'm marking it down a star though for it's lack of calcium (even though if you look closely at the photo, you can see that it says "excellent source of calcium"---they must have reformulated.)I was searching for something for my girls' school lunches and wanted a change from milk or juice boxes. They like almond milk, so I thought this would be a nice change. It proved a tad difficult for them to open by themselves and some boxes did not sit flat on the table as other milk brands do (horizon & organic valley). One daughter ended up wearing her milk as a result and it did not wash out of her clothes on a couple occasions. Although it tastes good and the price is right, we won't be purchasing more for lunchboxes.

A Taste of Thai Peanut Noodles Quick Meal, 5.25-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)
I love these Thai meals. I love Thai food in general. These quick meals taste remarkably good and are done in just a few minutes. I also like that you can use these and mix them with other stuff to provide a lot of variation.
For the Thai Peanut noodles, for instance, you can add a few pieces of chicken, pork, meatballs, shrimp, or beansprouts. Or add extra crushed peanuts. You can cook the noodles separate from the sauce and serve them both.
A tip: break the noodles first, or else they will not be completely immersed in the water and cook unevenly. Stir well before you place it in the microwave, then microwave for 4 minutes and stir again, then 1 more minute in the microwave. If you add ingredients adjust the time as needed. After taking them out let it sit for a minute to allow the noodles to finish.
Note that this item on Amazon is actually cheaper then buying them in the grocery store. Even including shipping!
Also try the Red Curry and Coconut Ginger flavors, they are just as great. The Pad Thai flavor is perhaps my least favorite, but still very good.

Heinz Baked Beans 415g 12 Pack (England)

They're less sweet than other kinds, such as the Heinz Vegetarian Beans usually sold in America, and have about 35% fewer calories due to having less sugar. The can I have lists 90 calories per serving, 3 servings per can.
Strange "how to play with this food" suggestion: corrupt your basic beans by adding chunks of green pepper, onion, green olive with pimento and/or (yes, really) radish. The sauce for these beans works well with all of the above. I grew up, in the days before ramen, considering a small can of baked beans heated with sliced radishes mixed in, to be an excellent budget dinner. (Hey, if they work with tacos at Mexican restaurants, WHY NOT with beans?)
And yes, they do make a good breakfast, served over toast, perhaps with some sauteed mushroom slices. As I'm vegan, I've had to be creative at breakfast, when all my friends are eating egg and cheese dishes.
Important: Don't have these in your carry-on when going through an airport gate, no matter how handy of a quick snack they seem to be, with most even being packed with a pull-top lid. There has been no sadder sight to me than having to head to the gate with my cans of Heinz Beans sitting on top of the x-ray machine as "confiscated goods" because of the liquid they contain, ahead of a 20 hour trip. (!) That said, they work well for train journeys, because they taste nearly as good cold as they do warm, and unlike other kinds of canned beans, don't need to be rinsed before eating.Product arrived very timely and well packed, with a generous (may 2008) use by date. Customer service from supplier was excellent.

These chips do not contain artificial flavors, artificial colors, trans fat, or a lot of sugar, and are not greasy. The total sugar count is only one gram for each ounce, twenty-eight grams. I like them for guacamole dipping, with salsa, or in the one-ounce package as a snack with lunch. The only downside is that they can become addictive.
Carolina Plantation Stone Ground Yellow Grits - 2 Lb Bag

The answer is simple; there is a big difference in grits. The goopy, flavorless blob of quick cooking (or worse, instant) grits justifies the disdain so many hold for grits. And most of the expensive, stone ground, supposedly 'artisanal' products on the market are not much better. As a grits snob I was for years spoiled; a family friend summered in North Carolina and each year brought me several pounds of course ground yellow grits from a grist mill there. They've become the standard for me that thus far no other grits can match, though these came close.
I've bought grits from grist mills all over the nation and they inevitably fall short in one or both of two regards.. The first is flavor. Yes, good grits have a taste of their own for which cheese or gravy are enhancements rather than substitutes. I am pleased to report that Carolina Plantation Stone Ground Yellow Grits do meet the grade here. The subtle but distinctive corn flavor makes the grits incomparably superior to any grocery store brand I have ever experienced.
Unfortunately I can't award five stars because these Carolina Plantation grits fall short in the other critical measure texture/ mouth feel. Now, I'm aware that this is a highly contentious element of 'grits theory' and you may prefer the texture of Carolina Plantation grits. I don't. Like nearly all the grits available today including some prestigious brands labeled 'coarse ground', these are too finely ground. One superior mill even rescued a heritage strain of corn to assure authenticity of flavor but still missed the texture mark on their very expensive "coarse ground grits". Some brands are much closer to corn meal than grits, and that's fine if that's what you want. It's a better texture for some applications like grilled grits/polenta. But served alongside ham and eggs, or slathered with gravy at supper, or even in a cheese grits casserole a much larger grind is, in my opinion, far superior. I know, real grits take a long time to cook and the coarser they're ground the longer they take. Good grits are worth it, which you may not believe until you experience grits done right!
The grist mill that makes the best grits I've ever had doesn't sell online and can't seem to handle telephone sales, so until I make the acquaintance of somebody in or around Linville, NC I'm stuck with what I can find online. I will keep sampling other brands but for now Carolina Plantation is the best of the lot.I would consider myself a Grits Connoisseur, be from the Carolina's myself. Additionally, I love yellow grits the best due to their texture and the longer grits cook, the better they are. These take a full hour, so make sure you start them before starting anything else in the morning. To me, these are great any time of the day. A little salt, pepper and butter (or margarine), and you are on your way to the best grits around!!!
