Cinnamon Toasters Cereal, 1-Ounce Bowls (Pack of 96)

Cinnamon Toasters Cereal, 1-Ounce BowlsI like these just as much if not better than Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. The taste and texture are both pleasing, they are actually a bit addicting. I also find Malt-o-Meal to be an excellent manufacturer of hot breakfast cereals as well. The price of Malt-O-Meal is a lot better than that of Kellogg's or General Mills and the ingrediants are just as wholesome and in some cases moreso. YUMMY!

I won't even purchase the Cinnamon Toast Crunch anymore these are MUCH better. The texture is crunchier, the taste awesome and the PRICE IS RIGHT.

I work a VERY early shift so I eat these for 'lunch' when I get home every day.

Be careful VERY addicting:O)

I actually liked them, my college uses this brand, because it comes in bulk, so for four years I had them off and on for breakfast in the dinning hall. They taste just like the brand name and they are much cheaper. Don't leave the bag open though because they go stale fast, and another downside, just like the brand name they get soggy quickly so eat fast.

Taylors of Harrogate, Yorkshire Gold Tea, 40-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6)

Taylors of Harrogate, Yorkshire Gold Tea, 40-Count Tea BagsI have drunk "english-blends" of tea in various forms and guises. But being a wee bit Scottish, I tend to like everything in life, "maxed-out". Almost all tea blends from various companies have FAILED to meet my criterion of "Maximum Tea Experience". Now, along comes Yorkshire Gold tea. Yorkshire Gold tea is carefully blended in North Yorkshire England by Taylors of Harrogate, and part of the real secret to this tea is the company's attention to DETAILS. Now undoubtedly, such teas like ASSAM (from North-East India) will give you some strength, but not always enough brightness. "Strength" works well at the Middle and FINISH of the flavour gamut, but initially, it is Brightness which catches your palate's attention and then the Stength simply Underscores it. It's sort of like playing a huge C chord on a concert piano in double octaves and then you gently add a LOW Contra C. The deep low note brings out the richness of the chord. The case is the same here with Yorkshire Gold. So why Yorkshire Gold and not another brand? The parent company in Harrogate is a superlative corporation who takes great pains at CONSISTENCY. The magic is in the Details. I am actually drinking a cup of Yorkshire Gold RIGHT NOW as I type this, and I can tell you, I have never found a company more consistent, attentive to details, and maddeningly insistent upon excellence. Through myriads of experiments and counter-experiments, Taylors has discovered what GRABS the tea-drinker's "Gustatory" attention, if you will. But there's more: this blend both refreshes and relaxes you like none other.

Additionally, there is something here to which coffee drinkers may relate: AROMA. When I make the loose or bag tea variants, both exude an almost beefy richness in bouquet. The process of mixing furiously boiling fresh water with the tea invaribly and consistently produces a fine aroma akin to the scent of a British Sunday Lunch where a delectable roast beef is the order of the day. Rich, piquant, and satisfying. If your brand of tea does not do ALL that I have noted ... consider a change.

If you like your tea strong and black, similiar to fine, mild coffee, then this is the tea for you. This tea is not delicate or light in any way. It is bold and robust while at the same time having a pleasant, smooth taste. Yorkshire Tea is unique and wonderful. My day is not complete until I have had a cup or two. Needless to say, I buy it in bulk quantities. I find this GOLD version to be a "touch" more refined than the regular one.

I was hooked on this company's tea twenty years ago on a semester abroad in York, England.

Good, strong, lovelycolored, rich-tasting, incomparable brew.

I am an unashamed tea snob.

If you like it weak, go find something else.

I'm an American, born and bred, but also an admitted British tea snob. And this is my absolute favorite bagged tea. I love TofA Gold as a loose leaf, but sometimes I just want to grab a quick mug. These bags are an excellent bagged cuppa!

Great rich flavored blend of black teas, without the funk of some Chinese varieties or the perfume-y taste of other blends. Good balance all around.

If you appreciate a really good cup of tea, with the convenience of a tea bag, this is the tea for you.

I love my tea, and my favorite is Yorkshire Gold tea. It has a rich, full-bodied flavor that is not diminished by adding a little milk and sugar! The color, after adding milk, is a beautiful, golden tan. Each bag will make 2-3 good, large cups of tea, depending upon how strong you prefer your tea; therefore, the cost is comparable to "lesser" teas. It is also my wife's favorite, and we have tried many different brands over the years.

Powdered Egg Whites - 2.25 Pound Can

Powdered Egg Whites - 2.25 Pound CanI buy a good deal of liquid egg whites and just recently discovered the powdered form, which would save all kinds of time/money/energy. I went ahead and purchased the 2.25lb jar, but not from here. Honeyville's company website lists the exact same 2.25lb egg white can for 23.99 and 4.49 flat shipping for any order. Amazon's price as of this writing is 32.49.

Amazon.com shopping tip: if there is only one price shown for the product, as opposed to a 'list price' with a line crossed through it and a cheaper, generic 'price' underneath, then there are likely better options available elsewhere.

I purchased Honeyville Food Products' Powdered Egg Whites for many years directly from Honeyville Farms. During that time, the ingredient labels on the cans have always stated: "Ingredients: Powdered Egg Whites" and nothing else. I will say that I love this product. Even cooked in butter as scrambled eggs with just a little salt, it tastes like whole fresh eggs to me. Definitely no offensive odor or taste.

Eariler this week I was going to purchase another can when I happened to look at the ingredients listed on their Web site -"Ingredients: Egg Whites, less than 0.1% sodium lauryl sulfate (added as a whipping aid)". This came as a great surprise to me, I thought they had started using SLS as an additive. I decided to do some research and couldn't find anything about SLS except that it is used in soaps, shampoos and toothpastes. Nowhere was there a mention of it being in food. I went so far as to question the FDA. Yesterday I wrote the following e-mail to the Director of E-Commerce of Honeyville Food Products, Inc. and received a reply today:

"I have purchased your powdered egg whites for a number of years and have been extremely happy with them. I also purchase some of your other products that do not contain additives or preservatives...

I am very unhappy to see that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate has been added (to your powdered egg whites). Although this additive is approved by the FDA, I see little use for it to be in an egg product. I realize SLS has been used for many years in soaps, shampoos and other products that are expected, by the general public, to foam. But, these are products that are used externally and then rinsed off. Even then, SLS is an irritant to some people. I also realize that the FDA requires SLS to be used in lesser amounts where foods are concerned, but when using a product daily as I do the powdered egg whites (for smoothies) I worry about the build-up over time.

The only possibility I can see why this additive is being used is because of meringue. I made meringues numerous times with your egg whites and they have always come out high and beautiful -there was never a need for SLS".

Following is the reply I received today:

"I'm sorry to hear that we've lost you as an Egg White customer. Our Egg Whites have always had the small amount of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate as a whipping aid. When Egg Whites are pasteurized they lose the whipping characteristics that fresh egg whites have. I appreciate the feedback and will weigh it against that of the customers that need the Egg Whites to whip up. Thanks and have a great day.

Well, now I know why my meringues turned out so beautiful -because of a surfactant used in what I thought was a simple and pure product. I don't want to vilify SLS, I'm just looking for honesty in marketing so I can make a choice.

I gave this review only one star because I was not given that choice.

I recently started a diet where I could only eat the egg white, not the yolk because of the fat content. I make a fruit smoothie every morning using egg whites as my protein source. The powdered egg whites have simplified my mornings and saved me alot of time in the kitchen (anyone who has spent time seperating eggs knows what I'm talking about)...not to mention not having to worry about salmonella anymore. I also saved a boatload of money compared to buying the whole eggs. This is a fantastic product and well worth the cost.

I have been weight training and trying to eat a higher protein diet. I can no longer bear the sight of turkey, egg-white omelets or cottage cheese. I dislike artificial sweeteners (mostly due to their taste) so I don't care for any pre-made shakes I have tried. I turned to whey protein (bleck...maybe more experimentation will yield something better)and soy protein (bleck redux) but couldn't stand them.

But I like this! I wouldn't eat it plain (it's not THAT good), but the taste is easily coverable with yummy and healthy additives. This morning I made a "shake" that was 1C OJ (Tropicana Grovestand), 1/4C (appx) pure pomegranate juice, 1/4C egg whites (22g protein), 1/4C (appx) plain non-fat yogurt, and one banana. I blended these together with a few ice cubes, and yum! Even my kids love it!

It probably has a lot of naturally occuring sugar from the fruits and yogurt, but I am happy with the content and nutrients, and I can drink it happily without forcing it down!

I have tried the Honeyville dried fruits and been pretty happy with them as well (much better blueberries than for pancakes), so I will look forward to adding these for variety when I can't find good fresh fruit.

Roland Kaniwa, 5-Pounds

Roland Kaniwa, 5-PoundsI'm not going to pretend to be an Incan grains connoisseur, but I can say that I grew up in Peru and was raised with Kaniwa. This, my friends, is not Kaniwa; it's Kiwicha. People tend to confuse these quite easily and often even mix the two( I've seen many packages labeled Kaniwa/ Kiwicha). When I purchased this product, I was expecting the flour Kaniwa that I was used to. I got the grainy Kiwicha instead. Personally, I don't like Kiwicha, but I know there are many people that do. I'm not here to critize the product, but I am here to point out an unfortunate confusion.

(2008 HOLIDAY TEAM) As a serial cereal eater, I have had my bouts of addiction throughout my life from Apple Jacks and Count Chocula during my early childhood through an extensive adolescence with Sugar-Frosted Flakes, a short-lived health-oriented period with Bran Flakes and of course, my self-deceptive dieting tactics using Special K. My latest has been Kashi's Heart to Heart, which I find flavorful and filling. There is a slightly sweet taste which has something to do with the light honey glaze on the Cheerio-looking rings, though the most pervasive flavor is a toasted oat. I don't find a need for sugar, but I do like to pile up blueberries if I have them in the fridge.

I have to admit that I have used it as a dinner replacement on really lazy evenings. The best part is that the low-fat, low-sodium cereal is heart-friendly (thus the name) with one gram of soluble fiber per serving. The box claims 11 servings of 3/4 cup each, which for a cereal lover, is a stretch. I've been lucky to eke out eight bowls since I tend to overflow the bowl. Still, the calorie count is reasonable at 110 of which only 15 come from fat. For a price that is on par with local retailers, Amazon delivers the cereal in cases of six boxes, which I think is a reasonable medium-term amount.

Heart to Heart really is the best cereal Ive ever tasted. A couple of months ago my mom and I were shopping at Rite Aid buying toilet trees and then I came across this cereal, Heart to Heart. I looked at the back and found out that its low in calories. I had been trying to find a cereal that tasted delicious but is also low in calories and hadnt found one until I came across Heart to Heart Cereal. It also lowers cholestrol and it also lowers blood pressure. It doesnt have a bland taste like lots of low calorie cereals do; it has a honey flavor to it which is wonderful :) I eat Heart to Heart every morning, Ive lost a lot of weight (maybe because I start my day off eating Heart to Heart Cereal), and I totally recommend this cereal to anyone. You will LOVE it!

I have been eating this cereal every morning for breakfast for a few years now. It is just "heavy" enough to be satisfying until a mid-morning snack. I tried granola, but it's too "heavy" for me. I like a lighter breakfast, but need more than fruit. So this cereal is perfect. It has a mildly sweet nutty flavor and stays crunchy until the end. Reasonably priced with healthy ingredients...it's great!

This is the first oat-based cereal that I have enjoyed. I like it straight from the box, with 2% milk, or occasionally with orange juice. When I travel and may not be able to find it, I pour it into quart-sized zip-lock bags and take some with me. It's also good as a snack when flying. I've compared the label to those on other Kashi cereals, as well as the run-of-the-mill stuff, and this is better.

Banania French Chocolate Drink Mix

Banania French Chocolate Drink MixGreat stuff. Stumbled across this in France in September 2011. Pretty tasty especially on a cold or rainy day. If you can get past the racially insensitive packaging you'll find a nice hot chocolate.
