Santa Fe Sausage Seasoning

We followed the directions closely for a 10 lb. mix of 1/2 venison and 1/2 pork. (We did mix the seasoning directly into the meat, then added a bit of water.) We then let it sit overnight in the refrigerator. We fried some patties up the next morning to taste test.

The pepper seasoning came through, not excessively so, but it did linger a bit. I have been known to like things hot (although my tastes have mellowed with age) and I would rate this between mild and medium. I have tasted commercially prepared breakfast sausage that tasted hotter. It definitely makes this a great sausage for using in spaghetti and other italian dishes. By itself, the sausage is very flavorable. We plan to pack 1/2 into casings and bulk store the rest for cooking Italian dishes.

I do agree with one reviewer, it is a bit salty tasting and could be toned down a bit. But, it is within the limits for a spicy sausage and will be fine used in other Italian recipes, IMHO.

I would buy this again, but back off of the amount to mix into the meat (due to the salt) and add other Italian seasonings.

This is a great blend for Italian Sausage. It makes a mild sausage with a little kick. It does 50 lbs of sausage and I make it in 10 lb batches. I measured the level of the blend(5") and with a permanent marker made lines every inch on the container for my 10 lbs of meat. I ground up my shoulders, mixed in the spices, then reground a second time. Some of the best sausage I have ever had. Tastes like NY style sausage with the fennel in it. I would recommend to anyone who is looking to save money on sausage. I estimated I have about 1.75 a pound into it where store bought is over 3.50 a pound. It is also very healthy. I will be purchasing other blends in the future to also try.

Was excited to try the mix and found it to be just expensive salt...sure, seasoning for Italian sausage does not contain too many ingredients but product flavor was lacking and was really almost all salt.

I made 40 lb of sausage with 20 lb being venison/pork and 20 lb being venison/beef. Flavor was great and an easy product to use. Highly recommend.

so i tried the garlic one and i made a mistake.... and didn't wear a gas mask when i used it ... i LOVE garlic but wow this is over powering in powder form when i first got it i opened it up to give it a smell and almost fell over it was like i got mased eyes tearing up nose burning regardless i bought it im trying it and i mix up some sausage and if you add water like it says it gets toned down so you can work with it after stuffing it and letting it sit for 24hrs for the casing to firm up i grilled them and im not impressed its not bad like someone just dumped a bunch of garlic powder in my sausage and no other spices i feel like it needs more flavor then JUST garlic powder i mean even salt and pepper would be nice

Purely Elizabeth - Ancient Grain Granola Cereal Original

these bars are good. I like them and i eat them. the bars work for a breakfast. and they have a short ingredient list. if you are watching your sugars. remember these are not for you cause dates are a sugar. I like the bars. what more is there to say?

Organic Jade Pearl Rice

For the purpose of food, "organic" means raised or cultured without the use of pesticides and other chemicals. It does not mean "raised in a mythical land without pollution" or even "good for you." Lotus Foods looks to be a California company so my guess is that this was certified organic in the US, not China. The objections of the other reviewer are silly -sure, Chinese cities are polluted, and the country has many other problems, but this does not mean every kernel of rice from this vast expanse of geography is inedible. I have eaten this rice and I love it; it has a great flavor and texture, and it holds together well if you want it to. Its green color is visually pleasing. And it is no more inherently unsafe based on being from somewhere in China than a carrot from North Carolina inherently tastes like cigarettes.

If you want something different than your plain white or brown rice take a chance and look into this rice, this is real good yummy rice. On top of that this rice is healthier for you than white rice, it is easy to prepare and can be used in other rice dishes, if you like a change of pace from the normal rice dishes then check this rice out. I love love love this rice and I highly recommend this rice for all you rice lovers like me.

It has become a habit for me for some time to step away from edible products that carry the made in China tag. It saddens me since some things are rare and not easily found. This was only the second item I bought this year knowing that it was produced in China, however, even after cooking it I still kept thinking that I had poisoned myself some how. It was a strange feeling that just would not go away, all due to the made in China label. I'm certain that I would not buy this product again even though I really enjoyed cooking with it, since I'm simply far too skeptical of the very polluted soil this rice may have been grown on.

How can such a great country have gone so wrong for so long that even buying a wonderful bag of rice can feel like a mistake some how? Reading all the reviews here it seems that I am not the only one debating the products purity. I only wonder how much revenue China is loosing every year because of their bad reputation!

My mistrust may not make it to mathematical equations that calculate surpluses every year in China, but if distrust was actually calculated then China's loss of revenue would certainly out number it's profit.

Just a thought.

I was so excited to read about this product in Bon Appetit until I saw it was grown in China. Since the air, water and dirt are all toxic in China and their certification process of organic is wildly lacking, this product is not what I consider safe to feed my family or guests. :(

Life Cereal Cinnamon, 15-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)

This is one of my family's favorite cereals. Even my son likes it, and that's saying a lot. It's light and crunchy, full of cinnamon flavor with just a touch of sweetness.

Low in fat and calories, sugar is not too bad in my book (that's always debatable depending on who you ask, but I don't think 8 grams per serving is horrible). It even contains fiber and protein and 9 vitamins and minerals.

We love this cereal for breakfast, or any time we need a quick on the go snack in a bag.

Not much to say if you've already had this cereal...if you haven't, BUY IT! So good! Subtle cinnamon taste. Great packaging (honestly, the boxes were pristine, much better looking than even in the stores lol). Great price. Thanks Amazon!

These are totally delicious, and also one of the few breakfast cereals without high fructose corn syrup (even All Bran has that). They are a bit sugary but not too sweet. Certainly filling and just what I like for breakfast, and so do my kids.

I'm not sure why Amazon isn't doing this on subscribe and save (at least when I'm writing this), but seeing as almost every grocery store I know of runs out of these on a fairly regular basis, probably worth getting from Amazon.

I grew up eating Quaker Oatmeal Squares, and they're still my favorite cereal and a great source of fiber I tried Fiber One for a while, but the aspartame in it gave me headaches and Fiber One leaves an awful aftertaste. Quaker's doesn't have aspartame, and there's tasty brown sugar which gives it just the right amount of sweetness (the cinnamon sugar one is really good too!)

What I love about Quaker Oatmeal Squares is that they're perfectly delicious with or without milk. They're super crunchy without, and after soaking in milk for a while they absorb the liquid and become like cereal-milk gushers. I personally like that, but for those who don't, you can always just eat the cereal immediately after adding milk.

This is a wonderful breakfast cereal! It is one of the few I found that is tasty, filling, and also relatively healthy. Most other cereals are overly-sugared, but Quaker Oatmeal Squares have just the right amount of sweetness. It's also especially filling. I've seen Amazon have the product on subscribe and save, but at the time of this review it's unavailable, so I'd check back. I purchased it through subscribe and save and saved almost 40% off the retail price in the grocery store.

I was so excited about this cereal when I tried it. I bought it off Amazon here and when it arrived I dug in. Well I had a headache and nausea episode quickly following. I suppose I ate too much as the little sample I tried before did nothing to me. It has to be the food dye as any other cereal didn't do that to me. I used to be allergic to yellow #5 and #6 before (it would make me jump off the walls as a kid!). I thought I outgrew it. Maybe this is an "adult" allergy. Quaker, keep the food dyes out! I love your dye-free oatmeal, why does this have to be so different?
