This treat is much more satisfying than any other snack bar I've tried and I've tried a lot being a woman on the go. Great as a quick breakfast, pre-workout snack or sweet treat(instead of cookies etc.). Bobo's bars are now a staple in my pantry. Didn't give 5 stars because they are pretty expensive.Read Best Reviews of Bobo's Oat Bars All Natural, Cranberry, 3-Ounce Packages (Pack of 12) Here
These Oat Bars are very tasty, and extremely convenient. However, they do have a log of sugar and calories. Also, they are a bit expensive.Want Bobo's Oat Bars All Natural, Cranberry, 3-Ounce Packages (Pack of 12) Discount?
I am the only one in my family that likes these. They are basically a block of oatmeal. I like oatmeal so the are good with me. I like the fact that they only have 10g of sugar. Compared to other power bars and granola they are too expensive so I will stick with Cliff and other bars for now and eat my oatmeal.Dr. McDougall?s Right Foods Organic Maple Oatmeal Cups Made with Organic Gluten Free Oatmeal, 2.5-O

I love Dr. McDougall's products, because they are so natural, with whole grain raw oats (not processed, instant oats), and use soy milk powder to give a creamy texture with out all of the added sugars that normal oatmeal products have.
Also, this oatmeal is wonderful, because of the portion size. A usual instant oatmeal packet is skimmpy on sizeI usually need two packets for breakfast. This product, however, is a good portion size, and it is convenient because you don't need a bowl to mix it (you use the product container itself, and just add water).
Dr. McDougall's Non Dairy Hot Cereal products are the greatest store bought, and the closest to homemade oatmeal you can get! This stuff does taste good and is convenient to prepare. The downside is that the nutritional info applies to HALF the container. Who would eat half? When you read the specs and double the numbers, it just isn't that healthy. When you eat all the product, you are consuming a lot of calories, carbs, sugar and sodium...way too much for one meal. Also, a breakfast high in protein is much more beneficial.
As an aside, I have never understood why manufacturers do this serving size deception. I am sure there are adults out there who eat half a can of soup or half a breakfast cereal cup; but when most adults have soup for lunch, they prepare and eat all the soup, and likewise with this product for breakfast.
There are worse choices, but better ones as well.EDIT: Since a third-party company bought Right Foods, the quality has gone downhill. My last six-pack of this product smelled and tasted so bad that I threw it out.
I've been a McDougall customer since 2004, and I've tried almost all of the food cups. They are excellent for those who want a vegan, mostly-organic alternative, and of course one pays extra for the convenience and vegan/organic ingredients.
The Maple oatmeal is very good. My one recommendation is to fill the cup slightly higher than the fill line; otherwise the oatmeal may come out too thick.Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Non-Dairy Hot Cereal, Organic Maple is one of those rare finds that is delicious, healthy and convenient all in one! First, it tastes wonderful... like a really good quality oatmeal-type breakfast cereal should. It is very healthy in terms of sodium content, fiber, etc. And it is super convenient and fast to prepare. It's perfect on a cold morning when you only have a short time for breakfast... or simply bring it to the office with you and make it there with boiling water or in the microwave... right in its own container! I have been buying this product for a few years now and have never been disappointed. Like I said, it tastes great, it's good for you and most importantly for me (who always seems to be rushing to get to work!) it takes little time to prepare and you eat it right in its own container... all you need is a spoon. I would highly recommend Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Non-Dairy Hot Cereal, Organic Maple to anyone who wants any of the above attributes in a breakfast cereal. It would be ideal for both children and adults. By the way, it is sweetened with organic real maple sugar and organic evaporated cane juice. No corn syrup or artificial sweeteners. The ingredients list is quite short... a good sign on any product, as you know you're getting the least processed it had to be. I do not think you would be disappointed with this product. It has everything you can ask for and nothing you wouldn't want in it. One note, I have a severe peanut allergy... on the label it states, "made in a facility that uses peanuts". I personally have never had any reaction. But anyone with a peanut allergy may want to take that into consideration when deciding whether or not to purchase Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Non-Dairy Hot Cereal, Organic Maple. Like I said, my peanut allergy is very severe but apparently having the product simply made in the same facility where there are peanuts has no effect on the product. But please use your best judgment... I would not anyone to have an allergic reaction. Aside from that, Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Non-Dairy Hot Cereal, Organic Maple scores an "A+" and five stars from me. It truly is my favorite breakfast cereal. However, it's a terrific, filling and healthy snack any time of day.The consistency is a little weird due to the types of grains. And I must ask,why in the world would each cup be equal to 2 servings? It's a waste for those who are not doubling up on servings. It takes 5 minutes to prepare at which time the oatmeal is barely warm and needs to be reheated. I expected fresher, bolder flavors. Typically a 'gourmet' type oatmeal in single servings has fresher flavor from the fruit and even a little natural sweetness negating the need for sweeteners, but not this one. Quaker Real Medley's outshine this product by far.

THis cereal is pretty darn good for you> Obviously, you're gonna want to consult a doctor or nutritionist, and I am neither. From a lay person's pont of view, however, the 11 grams of fiber("11 WHOPPING grams," I should say--that's way more than oatmeal, and more than bran flakes or any other hot or cold cereal I've seen) 600 grams of Omegas and no saturated fat all sound very good for you. If offers 20% of the Daily Value of iron (see nutritional information below), without any added iron! Very rare. Perhaps it has to do with all those organic grains (and raisins): Organic whole wheat flour, organic wheat bran, organic oat bran, organic barley malt extract. (See below for a complete list of ingredients.)
Nature's Path is making some of the most interesting cereals around, with healthy organic ingredients not often found in other products (e.g., pomegranites, pumpkin seeds). You can get a good idea of the breadth and depth of their products by visitng their website at naturespath.com
Nutritional Information without milk (per serving, or 3/4 cup, about 55 grams; 7 servings per container). 180 calories, 10 from from; 2.5 grams(g) of total fat, no saturated or trans fat, 600 mg of Omega 3 and also of Omega 6, no cholesterol, 280 mg sodium (12% of the daily value for a person on a 2,000 calorie diet), Total Carbohydrate, 41g (14%0, Dietary Fiber, 11g (28%), Sugar, 16 g, 4% Daily Value of of Calcium, 20% of Iron.
Ingredients. Organic whole wheat flour, organic wheat bran, organic raisins, organic evaporated cane juice, organic flax seeds, organic oat bran, organic barley malt extract, rice extract, sea salt, tocopherols (natural vitamin E) added to enhance freshness. May contain traces of peanuts, tree nuts, or soy.Bought this from Amazon Warehouse Deals, 4 boxes for $9 and change. Nowhere in the description did it say that the boxes I would receive would expire within 2 months of purchase (purchased Sept 2012, box expiration (or is it sell by?) says Nov 2012). Either way this is utterly disappointing and misleading. The organic Kashi I purchased at the grocery store in Sept 2012 does not expire until May 2013. Normally Amazon does a great job but this felt really underhanded.

This is very good cereal. It is healthier than most raisin cereals. I like it being organic too. The flax is also a plus. In the end, it is just slightly less desirable than the NP Pumpkin raisin cereal. But you will like this cereal.Oh, man do we love this cereal! My family tried the Natures Path Organic Flax Plus and loved it so much that I bought a case from Amazon and while I was at it, decided to try it with raisins. Oh my goodness! Crazy Good! I'm going to have to up the deliveries of this. Everyone loves it, and we use the Flax Plus on occation on it's own, but usually in parfaits now. TRY THIS CEREAL!!Want Nature's Path Organic Flax Plus Raisin Bran Cereal, 14-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4) Discount?
Great cereal @ a great price. Taste good even though it is good for you. Not like other cereals that claim to have raisins and really only have a small handful in the entire box.
