unfortunately, this oatmeal doesn't really fit the bill for me or or my kids. while the ingredient list looks good, the added sugar is a bit high (but no worse than the norm) and i wondered why they added the extra vitamins. also, the packages are a bit smaller than quaker, and while that isn't a problem in and of itself, each package has as much simple sugars added as the slightly larger quaker (even though the box says: "now less sugar")! but the kids are the final judge on this one, and my kids don't really like it. my 6 yr old wouldn't eat either flavor without adding maple syrup. they are pretty high in sugar to start, but adding more sugar just to get her to eat it completely minimizes the nutritional value. my 14 yr old says she doesn't like the texture AT ALL and has basically refused to eat it. i would definitely recommend buying just one box to try it before spending the money on a case as i did!
Mejillon - Premium Mussels in Galician Sauce
Packaging is very nice, the sause is excellent. It is actually a small can, just enough for 2, or one in my case. Excellent with a piece of italian bread or a baguette. This is not like the ones you can purchase from a store, trimmed and cleaned inside and out. It's from the sea, out of the shell and into the can. Very good stuff!

Kellogg's Nutri-Grain cereal bars have an apple cinnamon flavor that I love! They make a great quick breakfast when you can't take time for something more substantial; and they are good snacks for people on the go and for kids after school.These bars are relatively low in fat--and there's no trans-fat--thank goodness! They have no cholesterol and they are low in sodium. They do have 26 grams of carbohydrates per bar, however.
The vitamin and nutrition information is good but it could have been better. I suspect Kellogg's "sugars these up" to make them sweet and a bit more addictive than they really should be. There's no vitamin C but you do get some vitamin content including B6 and A. Of course, these bars don't provide 100% of these vitamins. They're not truly health bars. In addition, they do contain some sugar. If that is a concern for you, ask your doctor before eating these cereal bars.
Overall, as another reviewer notes, these are great for kids who don't want breakfast before school; and if you're on the go these are better than candy bars for sure! Try some and see!

I love these bars but the prices have been getting out of control lately. I highly recommend the Millville brand that is available at Aldi's markets for under a dollar and a half for eight bars. I have been purchasing these cereal bars at my local grocery store for a while now but I recently decided to order them from Amazon because of the convenience and price. To my surprise this decision had a hidden bonus, these cereal bars are even fresher and taste better then the ones I was getting in the grocery store. If you are like me and enjoy one each day as part of your breakfast routine, then I definitely recommend these!!
Wickles Pickles
I didn't think it was possible. I thought I had already eaten the best pickles possible; boy, was I wrong.These things have taste, and a noticeable amount of spice. Every now and then you find what looks like a chopped up cayenne pepper in these bad boys. They are the perfect pickle to put on a sandwich, eat straight out of the jar, or put in a salad. Chopped up in chicken or turkey salad too. Unbelievable. They are sweet, with a considerable amount of spiciness (not hot, but close!), a delicious amount of garlic, and they're just oh-so-tasty. I could eat the whole jar in one sitting, but my intestines won't let me! They are noticeably spicy. And they're on the expensive side. But, well worth it to me. No other pickle can compare. I only hope they come out with a whole-pickle version soon. Awesome!!
dave tFirst the slight criticism: So they aren't THE most natural pickles around; why on earth do they feel like they need yellow food coloring added? I actually thought they looked a bit creepy in the jar for that reason! Polysorbate 80 at least serves a purpose, as does alum. The other bit of criticism=most brands are wise and REMOVE THE ENDS. This company is sort of cheap-o. Because they aren't whole and because the cukes used are almost always pretty small and tight, the ends are nearly inedible, particularly the least ripe part where it connects to the stem--a few I've had got spit out because it was like chewing into those places where pineapple skin dig the brown spikes into the fruit. Not good.
That said, they taste awesome. They remind me of what I used to eat back home, where hot pickles are always one of the available options--some heat from jalapenos, others from extra garlic oil like these, plenty of them having chili peppers or the seeds at least. The only thing that I really love more aren't on Amazon yet: Frog Balls. (Seriously, no matter your opinion on brussel sprouts, they are fabbbulous.)
One caveat: Do not eat too many until you know how you handle a few. Seriously. It may quite possibly make your stomach feel some serious pain. (At least don't eat too many on a mostly-empty stomach). I can imagine these would be super on burgers and sandwiches (if they make sandwich slices like Mt Olive or ... didn't Vlasic make them?, then I'll be sold on that, but remember, SIMS Foods, those companies usually CUT OFF THE ICKY TOPS in doing that; only certain kinds of pickles are really suited for whole pickle eating, and sliced ones almost always are not). My imagination hasn't had time to get the best of me. I'm too busy just eating them straight, at least til my stomach says "hey, stop it with the sour and hot; you haven't given me protein and fat yet!"

When i first tried these i was hooked. I love spicy food and they are the best right out of the jar. Here is a tip for when you finish them though, save the jar of pick juice and put cut cucumber in there and put the lid on tight and leave it in the fridge for a month or so, and you just made another batch of wickles. We tried these pickles at a restaurant and loved them. I couldn't find at the grocery store, so I ordered them. They are crisp and excellent! A slight sweet flavor, then the spicy at the end. I eventually did find them at a store MUCH cheaper!

I have been buying Newman's Organic Raisins for some time, but I have aways purchased the 15 oz round container and I love them. I decided to buy the 6 oz foil packages, because they would be easier to put in a backpack.The problem is that they taste like there is a coating of crystalized sugar covering most of them. OK, so I've never liked raisins in my whole life, until a year ago when I tried a few so-called golden raisins (turns out they've got stuff added to them alas), which were good enough I'd eat again.But I'm a fan of Newman's salad dressings, so I tried these on a whim.
Lucky me!!! These are SPECTACULAR. Fresh, juicy (not dried up and hard, which has been my lifelong objection to raisins), and mellow, without the slightly bitter off-putting taste I had always associated with raisins in the past. The resealable bag is easy and convenient (although a little sticky, because these raisins are very moist). Frankly I don't know how it's done, but Nell Newman is to be congratulated. NO ADDITIVES, and still DELICIOUS!! Will keep in stock at my house.
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!

I was really surprised by the good taste of this mix. The only downside is that it is grainyat least, it is for me, but I simply dump a packet in water and stir it in. Perhaps using a blender and adding ice would lessen the graininess of it, but I bought it in the individual packets for the on-the-go convenience. I make green juice or green smoothies nearly daily, so I'm quite used to a much "greener" taste than this providesthis is actually quite sweet and I consider it a treat! I'm going to reorder this and keep it on hand.

I got the lemon/lime, chocolate, and this orange cream. The orange cream is the best by far. I love it with some almond milk and honey. If you try any of them with water they aren't going to taste good, but I can tell you I feel better after drinking the Green Superfood shakes for a few weeks. These are well worth the price and easy to make taste good if mixed well. Or, just suffer a little and feel great after.:-)

I tried this product with water and although I could taste the orange part of it, I couldn't get past the texture. But then I tried using about 1/3 cup of low fat greek vanilla yogurt and about 1/2 cup of water and blended it. It came out great! The yogurt gave me the feeling like it was a smoothie and the taste was really good.

Those who transfer to a gluten-free diet know that getting enough fiber in their diets is a challenge. Perky's Crunchy Flax Cereal is the highest fiber gluten free cold cereal I've found (6 grams or 24% of your daily allowance in a 3/4 cup serving). (Please let me know if you've found others with 6 grams or more of fiber a serving!) For its fiber content, it gets raves! As a person who takes medication that leads to constipation and who can't eat many different fruits because I have interstitial cystitis, it's impossible to get enough fiber with fruits and vegetables alone. So, I eat this cereal every day and sometimes twice a day.I used to eat some great high fiber cereals before going gluten free. While this cereal is a lifesaver because it is high fiber, the taste leaves something to be desired. The ingredients in the cereal are sorghum flour, ground flax seed, raisin juice, honey, and salt. That's it. I'm thrilled there aren't a bunch of preservatives and artificial things in the cereal, but I wish they'd work on improving the taste of this cereal and perhaps making it available in various flavors. As is, the cereal tastes a bit like a bland version of grape nuts. I've tried adding fruit and it helps a bit. The best I've been able to make it taste is by adding a little stevia for more sweetness and come ceylon cinnamon (safer than regular cinnamon for those with IC) to it, but that blah taste still breaks through.
The cereal stays super crunchy in milk for awhile before getting softer good or bad, depending on what you like. There's 200 calories in that 3/4 cup serving, which is a bit high, but you are getting a lot of omega 3 fatty oils from the flax seed, so that's a nice trade off.
Aside from the taste, this is a great cereal. But come on, don't we want our cereal to taste good? That's the reason for the 3-star rating.

A newcomer to the world of tea, I've been taste testing teas like a madwoman. First, I've divided them into categories. The most important category for me is what I have named "Black teas to be enjoyed with some sweetener and a splash of white stuff." Most I rated on a scale of one to five. There were too many teas I liked and quite a few I disliked, so I added a zero and a six to my rating scale. A zero tea was, for me, a lousy tasting tea to be avoided. The six teas were particularly yummy. I also kept a record of how many tea bags it took to get a cuppa strong enough to suit me. I don't know exactly how we ended up with a 160-bag box of tea Taylors of Harrogate, Yorkshire Gold Tea, 160-Count Tea Bags, but I think my first reaction was "well THAT will last us approximately forever." HOWEVER, it instantly became, by far and away, the favorite tea in our household. I just searched for it on Amazon, relieved that we can order another box before those last few bags are gone. True to our ancestral Southern (US) roots, we sometimes drink it iced, but this tea truly shines as a "hot cuppa." The flavor is smooth and full-bodied, and this tea really satisfies where the others don't. If I were a tea connoisseur (or if I could even SPELL connoisseur without spell check) I could probably tell you why this tastes so much better than others, but there are good green teas and there are good black teas and THIS is a really good black tea. It's a really nice, malty, somewhat unusual black tea. I think I have to be sort of in the mood for it, as it has a pretty definite flavor, but when I'm in the mood for it it's extremely enjoyable. If you are wanting a straightforward black tea, I suppose I wouldn't recommend it too strongly, but if you want something sort of different and of really high quality, definitely go for it.

I used to eat Larabars, but stopped because they are so high in sugar & carbohydrates. When I saw the Uber, that's the first thing I checked, and the Bananas Foster Uber bar (my favorite so far) has only 8g of sugar & 14 g carbs! That's a huge difference as compared to the 24g of sugar & 32g carbs in my old favorite Larabar, Carrot Cake. It is chock full of nuts, sweetness (but not overly as with some Larabars), flavor, and is very filling, despite the slightly smaller size. I think the price is very fair considering it's filled with dried fruit and so many nuts. High quality, and so tasty-highly recommend!

I received a trial-size bar as part of a promotion this week and I'm already hooked! This is one of the best nutritional/snack bars I've tried, hands down. As other reviewers noted, the sugar content is much lower and the wonderful sea salt really shines and balances the honey-nut, banana-y deliciousness perfectly. One negative is the bar was unexpectedly soft, warm, and sticky, and I probably should have put it in the fridge for a bit. So the same would happen if I toted it around on my fitness walks on a warm day. (I'd probably freeze it before going out). However, let me tell you, I was actually licking the wrapper where the bar stuck it was that good! LOL *blush*Overall, this bar is a winner and I'm eager to try the other flavors in this line!
