I have a bran muffin recipe that I make every Sunday evening and then it lives in my fridge for the week. Each morning I put a scoop of batter into a couple of muffin cups, put them in my convection oven and by the time I'm out of the shower and dressed, the fresh baked muffins are ready to put in my tote bag and I head out the door to work . . . I get to enjoy fresh baked muffins every morning with a fresh cup of tea. Last night I was out of the usual All Bran, but found a box of the Bran Buds in the back of the cupboard. Wasn't sure how it would work, but I liked these muffins even better than made with the All Bran! I did need to use more milk, and I'm guessing I'll have more than enough batter for the entire week (I'll bring some to share with co workers ;-) This is a great way to get fiber in the morning and gives me a good start to the day.

Update on the above. I discovered that I can make these muffins, sccop them into my silicone muffin cups and then freeze the entire batch (usually 18 muffins). Taking them out one or two at a time to bake in my convection oven each morning. I start each day with fresh baked muffin(s).

When I was on my healthy kick a few years back, I mixed 1/4 cup with a serving of yogurt. I loved it but it is so hard to find in stores.

January, 2013 I purchased Bran Buds and the ingredients are as follows: Wheat bran, sugar (only 8 grams), psyllium seed husk, oat fiber, and contains 2% or less, salt, baking soda, caramel color, annatto color, and BHT for freshness. There is no mention of high fructose corn syrup, as some reviewers mentioned. Perhaps Kelloggs has reformulated their recipe. This is one of the best cereals for digestive health around. 1/3 cup is all that is needed per day and it is low in calorie (80 calories listed on the box). For me, this is much better than drinking Metamucil. I like that I can put some in a plastic bag and take it wherever I may be traveling. My local Publix grocer always has it.

Kellogg's All-Bran Bran Buds, 17.7-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4) I had a colon resection about 2 years ago after struggling with Diverticulitis and all of the symptoms for years. After the surgery, I still found that I had to take Metamucil every morning and also eat the Bran Buds too. I sweeten the Buds with Sugar Free Coffee Mate Hazelnut creamer and it is really good. I just love it even though I have to eat it every day. Along with the Metamucil, they have solved my life long problem of constipation. I am so happy there is a product such as Bran Buds and I will never do without. They are GREAT! I order by the case from Amazon.

This tastes great although I do add a little more cinnamon. It does not fill you up like homeade oatmeal does but it is still a nice product.

This is a very tasty, not super-sweet oatmeal. You can really taste the grains and the chunks of apple are very good. The only thing I failed to read about is that there are two servings per container. This is great for 2 people but if not, it reheats well the next day. If you are sick of the syrupy sweet taste of the standard instant oatmeal this is the oatmeal for you.

This product was ok, but due to it's size (each feeds two) it does not really work for me. It tastes fine and I will use up what I have for on the go times.

This stuff tastes great, maybe because it has too much sugar! Plus each cup has two servings. Smaller cups and not so much sweetnessis needed. Kids liked it at first, but they each wanted their own cup. I wasted 1 cups worth of oatmeal each day since they did not eat all of their own cups. Won't buy again simply because of the waste.

Peanut Butter Almond Granola (1 Pound)

Very bitter...I had high hopes for this product as my husband loves peanutbuter but it's very bitter and I had to throw it out.

My first bite was very disappointing. I was expecting a crunch. The texture is almost like an oatmeal cookie with way too much oatmeal. That being said, the flavor is wonderful. I taste the honey first, then the almonds, and finally the peanut butter. The peanut butter flavor is somewhat mild. I would order this granola again, now that I know what to expect.

great to have as a snack or for breakfast especially while traveling. buying a pack of 12 from amazon ensures that its great value as well.

the good aspect of this is that it comes in individual pouches within and so its great to carry around and also exercise portion control. recommend.

I love this granola because it is made with gluten-free oats, so I can eat it with a good conscience (I have a gluten allergy). It also tastes really good. It's a little pricy for the quantity one gets (maybe 6 1/2-cup servings per box), however not as expensive as other gluten-free granola. It's pleasantly sweet, but not overpoweringly sweet, like some varieties of granola. If you have a gluten allergy, I highly recommend this product!

You really don't need to cook this cereal if you let it sit in milk overnight in the refrigerator. I use almond or rice milk. Use equal amount cereal and milk.It's cold and refreshing and tastes great.

I tried this cereal recently and loved every bite. I cooked it and it was ready in no time. It's much better than plain old oatmeal and it's a lot healthier for you than the flavored processed oats. I've tried several Bob's Red Mill products lately and I am hooked. I can trust this brand to give me what I want as far as taste and healthy options at a good price.

Bought this from the local grocery story because I've been trying to get back into the habit of eating breakfast and thought I would start with something similar to cereal milk. Taste is pretty good, does get kinda goopy if you dont stir it up. Taste is on the bland side but I'm fine with it. A bit surprised and unhappy to find that "palm oil" is listed as one of the ingredient. Not sure if I would buy another box after I finish this one...

Lavender Syrup

I expected the syrup to have a strong, concentrated lavender taste, so that I could use a few spoons to enhance the flavor of my desserts.

But the taste and the smell are really light and can be hardly distinguished unless you consume the syrup by itself.

I love these fruit crisps. They hit the spot right about 10:30am when breakfast is a distant memory and lunch is at 12:30pm. I get the sweet taste of strawberry, the delicious icing and the crisp of the cookie. What's not to love! [notice this is not a question]. Remember if you are dieting or trying to stay in shape this is a great snack choice. I'm on Weight Watchers and this is 2 points. Love it!!!

For some reason, these are difficult to find in the grocery store, but these are the best snack bars on the market. Only 100 calories, delicious (flavor is quite natural), and they don't crumble in you bag.

I bought these at a discount warehouse for same quantity a lot less expensive then on Amazon but Amazon is much more convenient ). Regardless they taste awesome, and when I am craving something sweet or a pastry they hit the spot. 100 calories, 20 grams carbs these are great to have on hand when the need to snack on something sweet comes about.

I decided to try these strawberry flavored pastry crisps after reading many positive reviews about them. Wow, these are great! Inside each box there are five packets with two pastry crisps inside each packet so you get ten pastry crisps per box. They come fresh; as I open each package I can smell the strawberry scent and when I bite in it's a delicious treat.

These are also good for when I'm on the go and I just don't have time for any other type of snack. The packets are small and I can easily carry two or even three in my pocket for a quick burst of energy from the sugar that's in these. I do have to say that these pastry crisps are not going to fill you up if you're very hungry; they're small and best thought of as a quick snack.

As long as you don't have to watch your sugar too much I would highly recommend these as a great snack. The pastry crisps are delicious and the small packets are easy to carry around with you for a quick on the go snack!

I had never heard of these, but decided I would try them. I like 'crispy' stuff... These arrived today and I immediate broke into the package for a little taste. Mmmmm... they taste just like you would expect them to. Kind of a cross between a PopTart and a Fruit & Grain bar combination. Only crispy! They come 2 to a pack, which is a little bonus for the 100 Calories gig.

They show that they also come in other flavors. I'll be trying those soon.

I picked up a single bag of this pancake mix at my local Sprouts for around $3.50. This mix is not only absolutely delicious, it is also pretty healthy and has nice amount of protein and fiber. Made with organic flour, this whole grain buttermilk mix turns out fluffy, tasty, and satisfying pancakes and waffles. For pancakes, you will need to add milk, an egg, and small amount of oil. For waffles you will add two eggs along with milk and oil. For pancakes, I add a smashed banana, blueberries, vanilla soy milk, and a tsp of agave nectar and it is perfect and filling. Here is the nutritional info per serving provided on the package since I do not see it listed:

New England Breakfast Gift Basket Standard

My wife and I wanted to get a gift basket like this for her father for Christmas. We weren't going to be able to visit in person this year and enjoy Christmas morning breakfast and thought a gift basket would be nice. After researching tons of options I became frustrated that so often the shipping on products like this cost more than the actual products themselves. Let's face it, a pre-arranged gift basket of food is rarely going to be a "value". But when you add in shipping these things can be down right outrageous. We came across this basket and it was available with Amazon Prime free shipping. Not only that, it was less expensive than other alternatives we were looking at (some from other non-Amazon vendors). We went ahead and ordered this. It arrived exactly on time in excellent condition and, according to my father-in-law, it was excellent. I have no complaints and was happy to find this option. I was pleased with the company and Amazon. Hopefully it remains "prime-eligible" in the future.
