Sliced Dried Beef

Sliced Dried BeefThis dried beef makes great creamed chipped beef. One can buy it in supermarkets in Philadelphia, or in Maryland and Delaware, but not apparently here in Connecticut. (I guess the managers here suppose not enough people would know what to do with it.) However, on the Amazon.com site a shipment costs nearly $120 plus almost $25 shipping. That must be one hell of a lot of product! Too bad it can't be bought in, say, lots of 10 of the small packages (about 5 oz. each) as they are sold in supermarkets. What retail customer not doing a fund-raiser is going to want that much?

Better Oats Organic Raw Pure & Simple Chai Spiced Multigrain Hot Cereal with Flax Pack of 3 Boxes (

Better Oats Organic Raw Pure & Simple Chai Spiced Multigrain Hot Cereal with Flax Pack of 3 BoxesThis has become a morning staple in my home. The only thing I do is add an bit more additional flax seed. I have a very rough work schedule and eat around 4:30 am and do not eat my lunch until 11:00 am. I eat this in the morning with an egg and a small glass of tomatoe juice. If I don't include the oats I am ravenous by lunch. Definitely, makes a difference in how I feel.

I am addicted to this breakfast oatmeal. It's very good, I love the texture which is not at all mushy like normal oatmeal. And this Chai flavor is fantastic! Love this stuff.

Kellogg's Raisin Bran Cereal, 1.25-Ounce Bowls (Pack of 96)

Kellogg's Raisin Bran Cereal, 1.25-Ounce BowlsThis is one of the most marvelous items that I've purchased to date from the "Grocery" section of Amazon. These containers, which I think of as "motel morning" portions, are extremely convenient and quite delicious, presuming one is a Raisin Bran fan. Likewise, no matter how long the food stays in storage, my cabinets, or in the crate sitting in this cluttered abode's back room, I note that the little, light plastic, sealed containers never seem to let the bran or raisins go stale or lose their taste. I'm now working on my third crate of these little wonders. I suspect that most readers would skeptically snicker at this reviewer's infatuation with such a mundane product, but one should always take matters involving quenching of the munchies seriously, especially at an advancing age when the ol' love-beaten, soul-searching heart needn't be weighed down with the added burdens of fat, cholesterol, salt, sugars and other modern processed sludge.

This cereal is great for everyone and the portion is perfect for those who do not know when to say that's enough. It's like a weight watchers meal already portioned for you.

I now prefer this product to its boxed form. It is portion-controlled, and can be consumed in the bowl provided (i.e., the number of servings it will provide is known in advance, and one can avoid clean-up if desired). I find re-using the bowls useful (freezing left-overs, disposing of messy kitchen wastes unsuitable for discarding in plumbing, etc).

Want Kellogg's Raisin Bran Cereal, 1.25-Ounce Bowls (Pack of 96) Discount?

I purchased this as a way to save money on Raisin Bran, a cereal one of my sons enjoys. Granted, he'll eat two packages for breakfast. But depending on what I have to spend in the store, I'm sometimes saving money.

If you like the cereal and have the room, this may be an option for you. Likewise, they offer a convenience in the form of portability. But you should do the math yourself to see if the economics make sense.
