Instant Oatmeal Variety Pack 6 Pkts
CytoSport Muscle Milk n' Oats
I eat tomatoes chopped up on food even though I hate them.
So after the first bite and that sudden WTF realization that this tasted nothing like apples or cinnamon I figured I would just trod through it.
My gag reflex had other plans! (I just burped and almost threw up again!)
I'd like to find what ever taste tester at Cytosport OK'd this flavor and punch him or her in the crotch!
I tried to give it to my dogs (they are the left over cleaner uppers) and they looked at me like I was holding a club in my hand!
They lick their own butts (one of the dogs used to eat from the cats' litter box) and they wouldn't come near it!
They must be smarter than me because I figured that I'd try a second container with whole milk instead of water.
So much for bigger brain=smarter.
I am going to try to feed the last four containers (uncooked) to the squirrels outside and see if they will eat it.
Have you heard the saying "anticipation of death is worse than death itself"?
Well I have six containers of their maple/brown sugar as well.
And I am not too manly to admit that I am scared, yes SCARED, to try one!
(Burped again, choking back bile!)
I just ate a piece of bread slathered in mustard to block the taste.
So in summary, AVOID THIS STUFF LIKE RAT POISON!
I may yet call the poison control hotline.
If you don't see a review of the maple/brown sugar flavor in the next week, call 911 for me!

I am a fan of the Muscle Milk Milk and Oats oatmeals by Cytosport. The product comes in several flavors of which Banana Walnut is one. The banana flavor was detectable but the walnut was understated. My preferred flavor is blueberries and cream.
Milk and Oats is in my opinion a healthy product which delivers a good amount of protein and vitamins. It provides a healthy start to any day.
One caution with this product. It took me several times making the oatmeal to make it turn out right. It takes a little more effort than add water, stir and nuke.

This stuff tastes like sweet n' low, really nasty! It doesn't mix very well, leaves a bad taste in your mouth all day, I wont buy it again. This is the worst tasting protein I have ever eaten. It is the Indiana Jones and the crystal skull of the protein world.
Udi's Natural Original Granola, 13-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)
Enjoy the best granola you'll ever eat. I love the fresh nuts but there are too many raisins for my taste but I pick them out. That's the only thing I'd change.. take out the raisins. This granola is fantastic, as are ALL of Udi's granolas. Not only are they gluten free, but they have an awesome simple ingredient list. They are sweetened simply with honey, which I really appreciate. I hate it when there are multiple sugars or things like brown rice syrup in my food. I try to eat as simply as possible. This granola fits the bill. I love it on ice cream, yogurt, or just by itself. I am so happy that Amazon.com offers it in bulk too because the price is great and I am CRUISING through it. Glad to have a lot of it in the house! I highly recommend this to anyone searching for a delicious, simple, and gluten free granola.

Delicious item. Tastes fresh from Amazon. Packages were a little smashed upon receipt, but it doesn't bother me. I like to break up each package and then take them as on the go snacks. My kids love it too. Much cheaper than from Whole Foods, which is the only other place I have seen this.Read Best Reviews of Udi's Natural Original Granola, 13-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6) Here
I've ordered the sample six-pack and figured I'd have granola for a very long time. Wrong. My husband started eating it for a late night snack and then started eating it for breakfast and I was lucky to get a couple of bowls for myself. We like all the flavors, but I like the "Original" best. I enjoy the crunchy, freshness and it's not overly sweet like many granolas are. I'd rather add a little honey than gag on super sweet cereal.
highly recommended!

Simply the best breakfast granola I know. Lots of variety. and high quality. I just ordered a dozen more bags.Powerbar Energy Blasts Food / Nutrition, Orange,
I followed the instructions and took a few chews about 60 minutes prior to working out, and I didn't feel any different. In fact, I used these at work during lunch to see if it would help with the afternoon and I didn't feel any different either. I think these rely on "sugar highs" for boosts in energy.
Overall: 3/5 stars, tastes great like gummy bears or fruit snacks, but 4g of sugar per chew, and I can't detect any improvements in my workouts.

I enjoyed the first few packs especially on a century ride. But when I got to the middle of the box all the product was melted in a white blob. Could not eat half the packages.Read Best Reviews of Powerbar Energy Blasts Food / Nutrition, Orange, Here
They are tasty and give you a good pick me up pre or during work outs. Only gripe is they melt fairly easily, so leaving a pouch in a bag or in the car leaves a gooey mess.Want Powerbar Energy Blasts Food / Nutrition, Orange, Discount?
They taste great and are a good pick-me-up before and after a workout. But be warned they are addictive!! I like the flavors: Raspberry and strawberry/banana the best. Avoid the lemon ones; they smell like lemon Pledge (but taste good).
P.S. They may seem cheap on amazon, but I can get them for a $1.00 a bag at Fred Meyers in Oregon
Van's Gluten Free Cereal, 11 Ounce
Earth's Best Organic Sunny Days Snack Bars, 5.3 Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)
I compared Earth's Best Apple snack bars (my little guy's favorite) with Health Valley Apple Cobble cereal bars and Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Apple Cinnamon.
Packaging:
Earth's Best snack bars are KID-sized. Only 19g.
The other two are 37g each.
As most parents know, having things in smaller packages is handy because kids often don't eat all of what you give them. So unless you always remember to carry extra baggies or storage containers around, Earth's Best has the no-waste edge.
***For the rest of this review, the numbers I give for Earth's best are based on a doubling of serving size from 19g to 38g so as to be on relative equal footing with the other two bars***
Sugars:
Nutri-Grain (NG): 12g
Health Valley (HV): 16g
Earth's Best (E'sB): 18g
So, yes, Earth's best does have the highest sugar content of the three, but that's assuming your child will eat the whole 37/38g worth of bar.
Mine won't.
And, if you consider the source of the sugars (which, believe it or not, matters to some people), Health Valley and Earth's Best derive theirs primarily from evaporated can juice, honey, and the apple itself.
Nutri-Grain lists high-fructose corn syrup and plain ol' sugar almost a dozen ingredients before you actually see 'apple puree' listed.
One final sugar note, when ANY kind of fruit is reduced to a concentrate, its level of sugar (fructose) becomes concentrated as well. That's why it may take a whole apple to equal the same amount of sugar found in a couple of tablespoons of the concentrated apple found in a processed snack.
Ingredients:
Just a reminder, what's listed first on the ingredients label is what the product contains the most of, and so on down to the bottom.
If you think your child is eating an apple snack bar, then apple should be the first thing list, not near the last.
Organics:
Read the labels thoroughly.
Healthy Vally claims 70% organic.
Earth's Best claims made with Organic Whole Wheat.
Neither of these items claims to be 'ORGANIC' in its entirety. So don't be miffed if you see the word and think it means the whole product only to find out it doesn't.
Other Nutrition consideration:
Fiber: This is the one truly weak point of Earth's Best. It list NONE. The other two each list 3g. Now, I'm not 100% certain that 0g for the E'sB 19g serving also means 0g for a double serving, but it's safe to assume that it would still be less than 1g.
Vitamins: E'sB wins this one. Narrowly beating out Nutri-grain with added Zinc, Iron, Thiamin and Folic Acid, though a tad less on Riboflavin and Niacin.
Health Valley has modest amounts of vitamins, but nothing to compare with the other two.
This said, if you're the kind of parent who is truly concerned about a well-balanced diet, you know that the value of vitamins from these sources isn't as good as getting them from fresh fruits and vegetables, so don't bank on these bars as a multivitamin alternative.
Sodium:
NG: 110mg
HV: 85mg
E'sB: 90mg (45mg/19g)
Protein:
At the 37/38g serving size, all offer 2g.
Total carbs:
NG: 24g (8%)
HV: 27g (9%)
E'sB: 28g (9%)...but 14g/19g serving size
Calories:
NG: 120
HV: 130
E'sB: 140...70/19g serving size
And an added note on calories: kids are active little things and hardly want to sit to eat or do anything to take away from their play/work.
While I do prefer to give my little guy as much 'fresh' stuff as possible (and I give him a fair amount), he fills up on it, but burns through the energy (i.e. calories) quickly and is loathe to pause long to eat again.
This said, when you can find a SMALL, tasty supplemental snack that's relatively healthy and also packs on the calories for your little one, then you often stick with it.
The Verdict:
If cost is the most important factor when choosing a cereal bar, then, yes, Nutri-Grain is likely your best bet.
If convenience of size and nutritional content drive you (despite cost), then Earth's Best is definitely the way to go.
Health Valley has it's taste merits, but lacks in other ways.
I 100% believe of the value of paying a little more for Earth's Best smaller bars because it provides a compact, calorie and nutrient rich snack that is fairly healthy.I started buying these when my twins were twothey LOVE them! It's a great, healthy snack for on-the-go. The only complaint I have is that they are extremely crumbly, so beware! With that said, I would definitely recommend these... they are soft and chewy and very tasty!

I like buying the Earth's Best bars for my toddler, because they don't contain high fructose corn syrup. They're one of the few cereal bar brands that don't have it. We received two of the Earth's Best Bars in a holiday gift bag for our toddler. In an 18 gram bar, there were about 6 grams of sugar--a full third of the bar is sugar. My daughter loves these and eats at least 2 a day. I ordered them in bulk from Amazon but was able to find an awesome deal at a local store where they were buy 1 get 1 free. I bought every one of them :)Choice Organic Whole Leaf Organics English Breakfast Tea Pyramids, 15-Count, 1.05-Ounce Boxes (Pack
The individually wrapped packages also look very nice on a tray when arrayed with others from which your guests may select. I've yet to detect any additional tea power generated by the pyramid-shaped bags and I would generously call the shape on the box a "dramatization," but the bags do take on the general attitude of a pyramid-shaped balloon in the cup. They also make an excellent cup of tea and fit nicely into the compost bin when I'm done with them.
Highly recommended, will definitely buy again. This was a pretty good tea but not as robust as I like (realizing that that is a personal choice). Looking for an organic alternative o PG Tips but nothing, so far, is as good.Good tea, but huge waste of paper. The amount of tea in each individual sachet is small and the paper envelope is large. When I want a clean, crisp, fullbodied tea this is the one.No bitter after taste. Only complaint is that, although I like the pyramid tea bag shape maybe 1 bag in a box is defective and tea comes out while brewing. Otherwise-it's the best tasting English Breakfast I've tried. The tea taste fine, but I ordered this because I wanted a Pyramid shaped tea bag for presentation. Yes they cut the bag in a triangle shape, but it's nothing like the picture or the fancy Pyramid teas you might me thinking. It ends up looking like a normal old tea bag.
