Plum Jam

This is true jam, because it is cooked plums with sugar. Plums are very high in pectin, so less sugar needs to be added to get it to the gel stage. Furthermore, it is extremely delicious. Plums, but not prunes, are also very high in proteins needed to heal damaged epithelium, especially lungs. We breathe so many toxins throughout the day that we need to be aware of methods to heal that epithelium, on a daily basis. So why not some really great, tasty and extremely nutritious jam on toast, muffins, rolls, bread, crackers, jelly rolls, cinnamon buns, tossed into the entree (e.g. roasted chicken with fruit marinade), on top of cheesecake, as a thin layer instead of icing in the middle of any kind of cake, added to soup, or even hot tea?

I like this oatmeal a lot. It has great flavor and is easy to make. I have it for breakfast nearly every day and I don't get tired of it.

This product contains artificial sweeteners. The smell when it is being cooked or even when it is still dry is overwhelmingly unpleasant and chemical-ish. The artificial sweeteners are VERY obvious in the taste. I bought to keep at work for when I forget a meal but it took me a long time to finish and I wont buy it again because of the chemical smell and taste. Right now the empty bowl smells strongly of syrupy sweetener and that was after I dumped a tablespoon of peanut butter in it to cover it up. I like to keep Quaker instants for hurried days but I will not buy this line again. It just tastes and smells... odd.

I am quite sure I dont get enough fiber. I had this while overseas and although I was hesitant, it tased great with honey and soy milk. It was easy on my stomach and I noticed some serious movements later that day. My stomach was flatter and I actually enjoyed this fiber enriched meal.

This is a unique tasting oatmeal blend. It is not too sweet. Can's buy it where I live so I bought it on Amazon. Just a wee bit pricey but worth it.

I love oatmeal. I also love oatmeal with apples but most boxed oatmeal's containing apples have way to much cinnamon for my taste.

I have been making oatmeal similar to this with Bob's Red Mill Organic Oats Rolled Regular, 32-Ounce (Pack of 4), Diced Dried Apples, 8 oz (226 g) and cranberries for years. When I saw this in a local grocery store for a couple of bucks per box I decided to try it. It is delicious and very similar in taste to my home-made version. If it has cinnamon I can't taste it. It is slightly sweetened but not quite enough for me so I add honey and about a tablespoon of Peak Instant Full-Cream Dry Whole Milk Powder, 400-Grams. Oh so delicious! The best couple of bucks I've spent on instant oatmeal in a long time!

Roland Steel Cut Oats, Quick and Easy, 24-Ounce Cans (Pack of 4)

This product is just rolled oats chopped up into little bits. Because they are rolled oats ground to bits the texture when cooked is slimy and mushy. Save your money.

Let me just state that I'm a huge fan of McCann Irish Oatmeal Steel Cut. I think its the best,but my kids find it too chewer and I switched to the same brand but Quick & Easy steel cut,cooks faster and softer,but still has some texture. I decided to try Roland steel cut Quick & Easy, a little more goowey, but still has some texture and pleasant taste, no stale odor.i find them satisfactory for the price,especially now with subscribe and November sale it came to $10.47. You cannot beat this price. in fact I'm going to order more before its sold out

I have been eating this oatmeal for years and really love it. Much more hearty and flavorful than regular oatmeal. I prefer the "quick cook" feature and recommend it.

First off, I think the person who gave this a item a one star review probably bought the wrong product. There is another Roland Steel Cut Oats that is just the normal steel cut oats. The "Quick and Easy" is made for people like me, who want something similar in the mornings, but do not have the time to spend cooking it for half an hour.

So, for a morning routine in a nutshell: Get up around 6, do a quick half hour workout, dump this into the microwave for 6 min on 50% power (and start the coffee at the same time), take a quick 10 min shower, and it's ready to be eaten when I'm done, and I'm ready to head off to work by 7 (7:30 if I hit the snooze button too many times).

I used to go with instant Quaker Oats, but after reading about how much better steel cut oats are for you, because they are less starchy and take longer to break down (to be honest, I'm not sure how much better the "Quick" ones are for you), I decided to give them a try. Now I am so used to the taste and texture, the reguar Quaker oats now seem too mushy (not a bad thing. I just prefer the steel cut ones now).

Anyway, I would love to give this product a full five stars, but I was able to find a bag of a different brand of oats that taste pretty much the same, for about three times less than this is currently being sold for (that included the 15% subscribe and save discount). It's basically just one huge bag that has the same amount of oats as the pack of four here.

So bottom line, five stars for the taste and convenience, two stars for the pricing and value when compared to basically the same product at CostCo.

This is not steel cut oatmeal that takes 30-45 minutes to cook. They cook in 7 minutes as such they are quick oats don't waste your money.

I'm drinking a cup right now! I started drinking it while visiting a friend in Ireland, mainly because he didn't have coffee. Soon I was craving it! I brought home a box when I flew back, and I was searching for more on the web when I found this.

It's got a nice mellow flavor and I suspect it's got a pretty high caffiene content compared with the sweet tea we normally drink cold in Georgia. I feel like I've had my coffee after a cup of this.

I drink it with a little milk and sugar, and it's just great.

UPDATE: A few years later I had persisted in my belief that this is the best tea, worth special ordering. Then we got some Tetley's British Blend from the local store and did a blind taste test. Turns out I can't tell the difference. I still like Lyons just fine, but I don't think I'll special order it. Also, I learned not to be a snob. :)

I was introduced to this tea ten years ago by a friend in Ireland. It is THE best. I've tried other Irish/British premium blends......nothing is as rich and smooth as Lyons. Love it.

I first used this product on a trip to Ireland in 2003. It is the best tea of its type that I have ever tasted. I absolutely love it in the morning as a "set up" for the day or as a pick me up in the late afternoon for an afternoon tea. Even friends who do not usually drink tea enjoy this product.
