Enjoy Life Double Chocolate Crunch Granola, 12-Ounce (Pack of 3)

It is hard to find cereals when you have food allergies. I can't have dairy, soy, gluten, or nuts, and the options available were usually very bland and very low in fiber and other nutritional value. This granola, however, is both scrumptious and nutritious. There is flax so it's high in fiber and other nutrients, and the chocolate bits are very tasty. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that it has a slightly odd, almost chemical smell/taste at first. I don't know if I got used to it or if the smell dissipated, but after the first few bites I didn't mind it at all (and I have since finished the whole package). And as anyone with a food allergy knows, there's no perfect product out there.

If you are GF/DF, you know how hard it is to find tasty treats for your family. This one scored big at my house. My kids would eat it daily, if I would let them. It tastes great in granola and yogurt as well.

Klein's Naturals Cranberries, Organic, 10-Ounce Tubs (Pack of 6)

I bought these because the only ingredient listed was organic cranberries. They are however very very sweet and I question the accuracy of the product label. These are just as sweet (if not sweeter) than Newman's or conventional Ocean Spray dried cranberries. The taste is fine, but I did not want to buy sugared cranberries. Perhaps they really are naturally sweet, but I've never had fresh cranberries that were even slightly close to being this sweet. Klein's website did not open for me and they do not offer a phone number so I cannot call to verify if sugar has been added or not. I suppose I could write them! They are labeled as USDA Organic. A one ounce serving has 90 calories and 18 grams of sugars. The other odd thing is that most dried cranberries have a little oil added. There is a slight oily residue inside the container, but again, oil is not listed as an ingredient. Does anyone know the facts on the ingredients for this product?

Klein's Natural's Dried Cranberries as described do not mention sugar as an ingredient. For this reason I purchased a six-pack box only to discover upon reading the list of ingredients on the bottom of a container that sugar was listed second. As one who needs to watch my sugar intake I find this disappointing.

Post Grape Nuts Flakes Cereal, 18-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 5)

Love the cereal. Have to buy on line since it's been discontinued in the stores. Quick delivery, product just as promised. Don't like that it cost me twice the old price when I used to buy it in the stores. Supply and demand I guess. Just glad it's still available somewhere since it's my favorite cereal. Would like to know where the different sellers get their supply. Doesn't seem fair it's not available to the public anymore.

Bought this for my mom as a gag Xmas gift. She loves Grapenut Flakes, but for some reason Post is silly and they don't ship (the flakes) west. I live in Californiacan't find them at stores. My relatives as far as Colorado can't find them at stores anymore either. Hence my reason for buying them online. So as described, I received 5 18oz boxes of Grapenut Flakes cereal. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that even though the boxes are the same size as a typical 18oz box, they actually contained 25oz in each as stated on the package! The boxes were not 'half full' like so many products, and they were much heavier than an 18oz. So I got a little more than I expected. Shipped within a reasonable amount of time. Product is fresh and being rapidly consumed by family.

As a kid this was the cereal my grandmother always ate, but because it didn't have some crazy cartoon character on it I rejected it! Ha! When I was at our local grocery store looking for a healthier cereal for my husband, I found it again! I don't know how they do it, but the flakes are super light and crispy with whole-grain heartiness and a sweetness that tastes so naturally pleasant! Plus, if you leave it in milk or water for a while (or even put it in the microwave for a bit), you can recreate the most scrumptious version of "oatmeal" I've ever had! Plus it's great for topping with fruit or nuts. GREAT cereal!

Kellogg's Corn Flakes, 36 oz

These crunchy flakes have been a favorite of mine for a long time. Though I usually tend to prefer a sweeter, more unhealthy cereal to start my day, these are a good change of pace. If I get tired of Cocoa Puffs, I just whip a box of these out of the pantry and I'm set. Overall, great, plain tasting cereal, with nutrition abounding in every bite.

Warning to potential buyers: This cereal gets very old and boring very quickly. If you're like me, you'll only eat this twice a week and stick with Lucky Charms (or something) the rest of the time.

taste combination between oatmeal and cream of wheat.... just added lc brown sugar countdown low carb milk, butter and it was great.....

This in no way resembled oatmeal to me. It was more like a gritty cream of wheat. No amount of cream, butter, nuts or anything made this edible for me. I was very disappointed because I love oatmeal and this was a very expensive 2 spoonful meal!( that's all I could eat).

I am a huge fan of this hot cereal, and I buy it by the bucketload. A serving of the cereal, with a pat of butter, some sweetener, a pinch of salt (my secret ingredient), a few berries, and some nuts, makes for a delicious breakfast that doesn't spike my blood sugar, and is terrifically filling. It's not beautiful -the chia seeds in the mix make for a....uh, call it an unlovely consistency -so I wouldn't be feeding it to guests, but the taste is great, and I am big-time picky.

Bob's Red Mill Oats Steel Cut, 24 oz

I have been using this product for several months now. It is exceptionally good. Has a nutty texture and flavor. It is filling and holds my appetite until at least lunch time, which regular oatmeal that you buy does not. This is really good stuff. I have tried other brands, like the one that is in a can and called Irish Oatmeal and it is okay, but a little more expensive too. I nearly always buy this one because I just like it better.

Nice, fresh tasting oatmeal with a slightly nutty texture. If you like the texture of well cooked brown rice, you'll love this oatmeal.

Steel-cut oats are simply the hulled grain which is then chopped into a few pieces by a steel cutting burr. This is instead of being squashed flat by steel rollers, which results in the more commonly sold "rolled oats". Squash them even flatter and they are sold as instant oats, which are so fine they aren't too far away from being oat flour (which explains why they cook so fast).

These steel cut oats need to be cooked longer to get them cooked all the way through. Fully cooked, they are slightly firm (not hard and crunchy) in the center. I like to wash them with fresh water a time or two before cooking to rinse some of the oat flour off. This reduces the tendency for the oats to become sticky and gelatinous.

If you like your grains to have the taste and texture of grains instead of jiggly mush, then these are great oats!

However, looking around on the web you will see that many use rice-cookers, crockpots, or just microwave them (6 tablespoons take 52 minutes with four cups of water). J&D's Baconnaise Bacon Flavored Spread, Regular, 15-Ounce Jars (Pack of 3)

Who would have thought? This is great stuff! Vegetarian mayo that tastes like bacon. It works well on burgers, sandwiches, in salads (egg salad, etc), or just by itself as a dip. My only complaints are the jar is small at 12 ounces, and even though the sodium content is relatively low, it tastes on the saltier side. I actually take the Baconnaise and mix it with regular mayo. This cuts back on the saltiness, and makes the smaller jar last longer.

Absolutely delicious. My only quibble is that it's a little saltier than I'd prefer so I use sparingly. A little goes a long way. It has no pork in it, which is great for vegetarians. Check out the blog on their website, it's got a lot of tasty uses and recipes. It doesn't seem to be widely available in stores so Amazon's 3 bottle price with free super saver shipping is a good deal.

Ordered this after reading a review on the AV Club.

Right off the bat, it doesn't taste like spreadable bacon mixed with mayonnaise. It reminds one of bacon, and goes great with items that you'd pair bacon with, such as burgers, eggs, etc. However, the flavor is much better described as smokey seasoned mayonnaise. It's a little on the salty side, but that didn't bother me or most of my friends.

This is to say that it's delicious, and again works well on just about everything you put it on. It's also vegetarian, and fun at a party or office pot luck. Most of my coworkers were scared of it at first, but enjoyed it after they had a taste.

We love these bars. Sweet, salty, low calories. They don't have much of that "soy protein isolate" taste, which is good! The texture is great and it is definitely a treat - and it has a decent amount of fiber in it! Recommended!

Traditional Irish Breakfast

My husband is an expat from the UK, and had been missing the traditional "fry-up" he could get for breakfast there. I ordered this as a surprise for him. When he tucked into his fry up, he raved about the "proper bacon" and the "proper sausage" just like he would have gotten for himself back home.

Everything was well packed, and the order arrived promptly, with a little brochure about Irish food products and info on how to cook a fry up, for those who need some help.

My daughter visited Ireland a couple of years ago. She loved everything about the country, including the food. I ordered this in November for her as a Christmas gift, not thinking that the items would all be fresh in order to be the best. My fault for not looking closer. I've bought Hickory Farms for years and their stuff is processed to last forever...fresh is better, but when you spend this much for one meal you should be aware that it is not something you can save fresh for a special occasion.

They might want to put a line in the description letting people know the shelf life is not that long. It has to be eaten within a short period after you get it or frozen. Don't order too far in advance for a gift.

Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, Chocolate, 14.7-Ounce

I purchased this cereal because I had eaten it on a trip to Mexico and had trouble finding it in the states. I thought the price was a little high at $10 a box but was purchasing it as a present for a friend.

The package arrived and the cereal was crushed into little pieces. The box the cereal was in was completely damaged (though the outer packaging was fine). Not sure if it was the way Amazon packaged it to ship (it was put in a box with a very large book and no padding/packing peanuts) or if the cereal is like that in the warehouse.

Regardless I would not purchase this product again it's not the same when it is crushed into little pieces.

Gluten Free Pancake Mix (Case of 4) 22 Ounces

Stopped eating wheat. Great results, lots of weight off, more energy, etc.. Bummer I had to give up certain things like pancakes and waffles. No longer. This mix tastes really good. I can make it last a while since I'm the only one in the house that needs it. I make Krusteez for everyone else and have this mixed up and ready for two or three large waffles at a time. I'd say I can make it last three or four meals. The down side is it doesn't taste very good when it cools down or is re-heated. Eat em hot or make new ones.

My local grocery store stopped carrying this item so I went to Amazon to get it. Ate all 7 boxes in a couple of weeks and ready to order another case! It has just the right crunch and the banana chips are amazing!

Great Grains Banana Nut Crunch cereal is really very good! Yum! I'm sorry that one reviewer no longer cares for it; but every time I open a new box of this cereal I get a great scent of the banana chips and nuts. It whets my appetite for slightly more than I intended to eat! I like that it has the fiber I need and it has iron, too.

The expiration date is always a while off; that's another plus.

It does have some fat, sugar, partially hydrogenated sunflower oil and carbs. (Uh-oh! I can't quite give it five stars because of this, in particular the partially hydrogenated sunflower oil.) If you're watching those (or anything else) closely for your diet, look first at the nutrition facts above to see if this cereal will fit into your diet.

I have to admit I love this cereal! It's great anytime of the day!

Once I first discovered this cereal, I stopped eating all others. It's just delicious. Yes it does not taste 100% like banana. It's more of just hint of banana flavor but that's okay. I love the clusters, flakes and nuts in it and sometimes I slice bananas and put in it and its just great. Medium rating I gave was because the prices that everyone lists to sell it on Amazon is insanely high. Pretty sure that's due to most grocery stores no longer carrying it which sucks. But I just saw on Wally World's online site, you can get the cereal for $3.18. And if you get up to $45 on your order, whether it's the cereal or anything else, the entire order is free shipping. So food for thought

The mouth feel of this cereal is good...nice and crunchy. The flavor is unremarkable with more banana smell than taste. Banana flavored products have often been accused of being pretty fake and overpowering and while I appreciate the subtle honesty of the taste, there is little punch. It would be a healthier and more gustatorily satisfactory experience to add a fresh banana to a whole grain cereal.
