Caveman Nuts Almond Cashew Bar, 1.4-Ounce (Pack of 15)

Really loved this bar. This is a harder style bar primarily made of a combination of nuts and seeds bound together by brown rice syrup and cane syrup. Good source of fiber and protein and relatively low on sugars. I will buy this again.

I'm not on the paleo diet. I got these because they're gluten-free and corn-free, and that is hard to find. They seem a little hard at first bite, but they are easy to chew and surprisingly tasty. Not too sticky, not too sweet. I like them a lot.

I am a big fan of caveman bars, any of their flavors. However, I think these had been sitting on a shelf for awhile, not very fresh.

Taste is top notch!

Nutritionally speaking I love these bars. My only complaint there is they've added salt, and who needs added salt? But it's a very small amount.. 90mg. I've added these to my rotation which primarily includes Larabar's uberbar and the KIND bars. So these have less sodium than the uberbars and more than the KIND bars.

The texture isn't my favorite but it might work well for you. The nuts are chopped well and mashed together with syrup. They form a solidly built bar. Possibly mine were stale but they were packed so well together it was hard to chew. In that regard I like both the KIND bar and uber bar better. The uber bar has nearly whole nuts and the syrup doesn't hold them together so well. The KIND bar is much drier so they snap apart.

In terms of cost they place last among the three. Regular price in my neck of the woods is $1.79 but I caught them on sale for 99 cents. The KIND bars retail for $1.39 by me and the uber bars are also less.

These are great for Paleo Framework diet......Pricey, but good for that special treat or when traveling. Better than ANY BAR OF ANY BRAND OR KIND ON THE MARKET!!!!!!
