Earnest Eats Hot and Fit Cereal

The 1 star review on this product that was the only review seems unfair to me. If you were looking for Quaker oats, then this would not be the cereal for you, but both myself and my boyfriend enjoyed the texture and the great nutty flavor of this oatmeal. If overcooked this hot cereal is mushy as the review said. I would opt for the stove top cooking instead of the microwave, but in either case don't overcook it. You could reduce the liquid slightly, because if you try to absorb it all during cooking you might overcook it, and then add more if you need it after it is done.

I bought this at Fresh Market and paid less then the over $6 price on Amazon. I believe it was on sale for around $3.50.

I am regular consumer of oatmeal, and prefer the plain 100 / serving calorie variety with no to low sugar where I mix in my own items to enhance the nutritional content and flavor whey protein, bananas, blueberries depending on my taste that day.

My wife bought Earnest Eats Hot & Fit cereal at Whole Foods on the recommendation of a friend with whom she trains. I gave it a try based on the strong nutritional content and clean / wholesome ingredients, and found it to be excellent in texture and taste. My wife and I now purchase via Amazon as a staple of breakfast and mid-day snacks -American Blend and Mayan are our favorites. Very filling, low sugar, dense with 'super food' grains and not overlay calorie heavy, and we believe better in taste than comparable sugar-centric offerings.

Compare it to Quaker Instant just as easy, just as fast in the micro (and I don't understand the other complaints about microwave sogginess, because to me this stuff has more/better texture than plain old oatmeal) and SOOOOOOO much tastier. I sweeten it (and cool it) by adding a tiny splash of Knutson's Pure Cranberry or a splash of fresh OJ. It has totally changed my morning routine for the better, and is lowering my borderline cholesterol as well!

I like the Asian Blend and the Mayan Blend (which is awesome with a cup of coffee).

If you like hot cereal, with pepitis, cranberries, almonds, sunflower seeds, then this cereal is for you. I found my first container of this in Target, I was so impressed after having the cereal for two mornings, I went back, and I guess other people liked it also, I was unable to find Earnest Cereal in any of our local stores, as always Amazon always comes through.

This is the best crunchy hot cereal I have ever had, add fresh berries, and it is a true ttreat, it's not sweet, just enjoy the crunchies.
