MySuperSnack Soft Granola Bites, Apple Raisin, 1.41 OunceMy 15 month old daughter absolutely LOVES these snacks. She gets so excited when she sees me pull them out of the cabinet. I love them because they are healthy, easy to eat, and come nicely packaged. They aren't in all local stores yet but ordering on amazon.com seems easy enough to me!

They snacks are really healthy and taste great. My kids love them. They are just a little expensive and hard to find.

Quaker Instant Oats, Maple Brown Sugar

Quaker Instant Oatmeal Maple Brown Sugar, 10-Count BoxesI love oatmeal, and occasionally make steel-cut oatmeal in my ricemaker, but I've been eating more Quaker Oats Maple & Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal for years. Pallets of it. Literally, I had bought lots of "value pack" 24-packs the last time they went on sale at Shop Rite, and when I finally ran out, a couple months ago, I bought the "new" improved package at Stop & Shop.

The new flavor is horrible not just compared to the original, or to McCanns, but truly horrible. I couldn't finish it. Tasted a little like coffee grounds. Even adding brown sugar or a little milk didn't change it at all.

How could you screw up a decades old favorite like that? Why not offer it as a new product, and leave your loyal customer's with their proven favorites? (Why didn't Coca-Cola just release "New Coke" in the '80s, instead of screwing up their brand loyalty? And why didn't Quaker learn from Coke?)

Since then, I've been buying the Stop & Shop brand, and it's not bad. Not as good as the original Quaker Oats Maple & Brown Sugar, but good enough. Quaker has effectively removed themselves from the instant oatmeal market, in my opinion. Hope they correct their mistake, but I don't think that happens very often. I'll be waiting for one of those "We heard you, and we're making it right" commercials... Until then, it's store-brand oats for me.

I used to eat this almost every morning. Now it says new great taste but its horrible not even extra brown sugar helps. Change it back please!!!

Buy Quaker Instant Oats, Maple Brown Sugar Now

The sugar police strike again and ruin a oatmeal taste that was always selling out in my local supermarket... Now the huge flakes and horrid taste has made me an ex-Quaker consumer. There are plenty of choices out there for low sugar oatmeals why screw around with this classic, or why not just make another version and leave this one alone?

Horrible

My kids used to LOVE Quaker Instant Oatmeal. It was a quick way to get them a hot breakfast on a busy morning and still get them to school on time. They started refusing to eat it, and would leave their bowls mostly full and uneaten. They said it tasted "funny". I tried a bite, and sure enough. I thought it had spoiled, so threw out the whole box, and bought a "fresh" box next time I was at the store. Nope, the flavor was terrible in the new box as well. Bad, bad move, Quaker. Go back to the old flavor formulas before you lose this line of business altogether.

I thought it was just me, but now I see that I'm not the only one who hates the new version. The original recipe had such a delicious aroma, this one smells and tastes artificial. I have to resort to adding my own brown sugar and maple syrup, but it's still not right. I will be trying another brand McCann's Maple & Brown Sugar as someone suggested. Bad move Quaker Oats.

Paleo People Apple Crisp Granola 5 Oz Bag

Paleo People Apple Crisp Granola 5 Oz BagThe flavor of this product is ok, not amazing but not bad either. Ingreds are good and I want to consume more seeds so aside from the price, this seemed like a good buy.

However, in my first two bites I chomped down on not one but 2 ROCK-like pits....yikes...I know there is always a risk with foods like this but have never seen foreign pits this substantial in any product.

Exercise caution when consuming this product, and if you have certain kinds of dental work you may want to skip it altogether.

Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Non-Dairy Hot Cereal, Organic Apple Cinnamon, Oatmeal & Wheat, 2.3-Ounc

Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Non-Dairy Hot Cereal, Organic Apple Cinnamon, Oatmeal & Wheat, 2.3-Ounce CupsThis tastes great although I do add a little more cinnamon. It does not fill you up like homeade oatmeal does but it is still a nice product.

This is a very tasty, not super-sweet oatmeal. You can really taste the grains and the chunks of apple are very good. The only thing I failed to read about is that there are two servings per container. This is great for 2 people but if not, it reheats well the next day. If you are sick of the syrupy sweet taste of the standard instant oatmeal this is the oatmeal for you.

This product was ok, but due to it's size (each feeds two) it does not really work for me. It tastes fine and I will use up what I have for on the go times.

This stuff tastes great, maybe because it has too much sugar! Plus each cup has two servings. Smaller cups and not so much sweetnessis needed. Kids liked it at first, but they each wanted their own cup. I wasted 1 cups worth of oatmeal each day since they did not eat all of their own cups. Won't buy again simply because of the waste.

Pocono Organic Cream of Buckwheat Cereal (6x13 oz.) ( Value Bulk Multi-pack)

Pocono Cream of Buckwheat, 100% Organic Cereal. 13-Ounce BoxesDon't let the name fool you. This is not related to wheat at all.

You must try this if you have digestive problems of any sort.

It does not have the taste of regular buckwheat. It is delicious.

I can't eat corn and try to avoid 'enriched' foods but I loved grits. This is just as good and is a great replacement for grits. It goes great with eggs.

It is also a great help if you rotate foods for allergy reasons. It is easy to digest and so is a food for anybody of any age. It even makes a great baby food.

Natural Health TIPS

I eat this several times a week for breakfast. It has a slightly nutty taste and is delicious. It keeps me full all morning. I find it tastes better when I cook some chopped nuts in with the buckwheat.

Freeland Go Raw Bars, Spirulina, 1.7-Ounce Bar (Pack of 25)

Freeland Go Raw Bars, Spirulina, 1.7-Ounce BarI'm not sure how healthy these bars are. I am vegetarian and not picky eater but I don't eat much not organic or processed food (e.g. no douhgnuts, no oreo coockies, no gold fish, etc.).

I don't mind spending money as long as it is high quality.

I just tried these bars and I really liked.

I respect other opinions but sometimes people think that they eat healthy or good bars only because they taste to pop tarts, zone bars, or other bars.

I believe this is one resource for adding healthy energy during my day, and it fulfilled that purpose....I believe it's a healthy option.

I don't think Go Raw should get the negative rap that these reviewers are giving them. I'm a big fan of the Go Raw brand. I have a keen perspective on eating healthy and a busy lifestyle so these bars are extremely convenient! The spirulina is my favorite. It almost has a banana-like flavor and is packed with good protein. When your someone on-the-go like me and need a healthy convenient snack, opt for Go Raw!

P.S. check the Go Raw site. Prices seem to be more reasonable than Amazon.

Kellogg's Cereal Favorites Variety Pack, 1.5 to 2.8-Ounce Single Serve Cups (Pack of 60)

Kellogg's Cereal Favorites Variety Pack, 1.5 to 2.8-Ounce Single Serve CupsThis is really a great way to have breakfast at your office or practically anywhere. However, they don't give you an equal distribution of the various cereals. Here is the breakdown (from the side of the box):

16: 2.1oz Frosted Flakes

8 : 1.5oz Froot Loops

12: 2.8oz Rasin Bran Crunch

10: 1.5oz Apple Jacks

10: 1.5oz Corn Pops

4(!): Cocoa Rice Krispies

The main reason I got this over using regular boxes was that I wanted a variety of different cereals. However, there are way too many Frosted Flakes and far too few Rice Krispies. Kind of takes the "variety" out of variety pack.

You will get 60 cups of cereal. Each cup gives you enough cereal and space to pour a 6-8oz of milk. It is very convenient to have the single serving on the go cup. I would of gave a 5 if the quantities were even.

162.1oz Frosted Flakes

10-2.8oz Raisin Bran Crunch

101.5oz Apple Jacks

10-1.5oz Corn Pops

8-2.3oz Cocoa Krispies and

6-1.5 oz Froot Loops

I take these to work along with little minature milks I pick up at the convenient store. They're quite filling and get me through to lunch just fine. And they're not too bad for you either. Considering they're all the "sugary" cereals your Mom complained about when you were a kid. In fact the one with the highest calorie count (280) is the Rasin Bran, and that's something that would actually be considered "healthy". All the rest fall into the 160-220 range.

Read Best Reviews of Kellogg's Cereal Favorites Variety Pack, 1.5 to 2.8-Ounce Single Serve Cups (Pack of 60) Here

EDIT: I edited my original review today because the contents in the assortment have changed. I just got a new box and inside there were:

13 Frosted Flakes

10 Apple Jacks

9 Cocoa Krispies

8 Froot Loops

8 Raisin Bran Crunch

6 Corn Pops

6 Frosted Mini Wheats

I don't know why they don't make the distribution of each type more equal (8 or 9), but they don't. I imagine some must be cheaper to make or something. Still, at least the ones with the most (Frosted Flakes and Apple Jacks) aren't my family's least liked ones and it is a little more evenly distributed than it used to be. We used to always have leftover Raisin Bran Crunch and with each new shipment, the backlog of those got bigger and bigger. At least the upped the Cocoa Krispies allotment!

Warning: boring review follows! ha ha: I was interested in buying these individual servings of cereal for my family and wondered if the cups, bowls or little boxes were cheapest per ounce. The cups hold more than the bowls and boxes(usually about twice as much based on cereal type). I mean we would have eaten 2 bowls if it was really cheaper that way.

I went to the kelloggs site to compare how much cereal was in the cups versus how much in the individual bowls or the little boxes. The bowls, cups and boxes all seem to end up costing fractions of pennies of one another ounce per ounce. I didn't add up all the kinds per variey pack and see which grand total costed pennies more or less based on ounce (I am not THAT frugal), but picked corn pops and frosted flakes to compare. The prices for all the kinds are very comparable, so if your wondering which type to buy, it doesn't really add up to much difference. I do check these things because sometimes the big "value" sizes are actually more expensive per ounce/gram than the little sizes. Those marketing people are tricky!

Therefore, if you want to have more little bowls or you pick the cups (that have more in each), you can make your choice and know you won't be spending way more either way. I skipped choosing the boxes because I liked the convenience of the bowls, but honestly the carboard boxes are probably better for the planet (but anyway, I will save some energy, water, and soap by not washing bowls!) Now all they need to do is sell a cute little dispenser for my counter and I will never go back to boxes!

Epicurien Rose Petals Confit - 125 g or 4.4 ozThe best rose petals jelly I have tried so far, really homemade flavor. Will order more . I highly recommend it.

Exactly what I was looking for! Taste just like the homemade rose petal jelly that a friend of mine used to make. Note the amount though; 4.4 oz, I was not paying attention and the picture looks MUCH bigger than the little jar I received. There was a moment of disappointment & then I opened the jar and tasted it: YUM!! :)

Special K Fruit Crisps, Strawberry, 10-Count Bars

Special K Fruit Crisps, Strawberry, 10-Count BarsI love these fruit crisps. They hit the spot right about 10:30am when breakfast is a distant memory and lunch is at 12:30pm. I get the sweet taste of strawberry, the delicious icing and the crisp of the cookie. What's not to love! [notice this is not a question]. Remember if you are dieting or trying to stay in shape this is a great snack choice. I'm on Weight Watchers and this is 2 points. Love it!!!

For some reason, these are difficult to find in the grocery store, but these are the best snack bars on the market. Only 100 calories, delicious (flavor is quite natural), and they don't crumble in you bag.

I decided to try these strawberry flavored pastry crisps after reading many positive reviews about them. Wow, these are great! Inside each box there are five packets with two pastry crisps inside each packet so you get ten pastry crisps per box. They come fresh; as I open each package I can smell the strawberry scent and when I bite in it's a delicious treat.

These are also good for when I'm on the go and I just don't have time for any other type of snack. The packets are small and I can easily carry two or even three in my pocket for a quick burst of energy from the sugar that's in these. I do have to say that these pastry crisps are not going to fill you up if you're very hungry; they're small and best thought of as a quick snack.

As long as you don't have to watch your sugar too much I would highly recommend these as a great snack. The pastry crisps are delicious and the small packets are easy to carry around with you for a quick on the go snack!

I had never heard of these, but decided I would try them. I like 'crispy' stuff... These arrived today and I immediate broke into the package for a little taste. Mmmmm... they taste just like you would expect them to. Kind of a cross between a PopTart and a Fruit & Grain bar combination. Only crispy! They come 2 to a pack, which is a little bonus for the 100 Calories gig.

They show that they also come in other flavors. I'll be trying those soon.

Bob's Red Mill Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle, Whole Grain Mix, 26-Ounce Bags (Pack of 4)

Bob's Red Mill Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle, Whole Grain Mix, 26-Ounce BagsI picked up a single bag of this pancake mix at my local Sprouts for around $3.50. This mix is not only absolutely delicious, it is also pretty healthy and has nice amount of protein and fiber. Made with organic flour, this whole grain buttermilk mix turns out fluffy, tasty, and satisfying pancakes and waffles. For pancakes, you will need to add milk, an egg, and small amount of oil. For waffles you will add two eggs along with milk and oil. For pancakes, I add a smashed banana, blueberries, vanilla soy milk, and a tsp of agave nectar and it is perfect and filling. Arrowhead Mills Organic Maple Buckwheat Flakes Gluten Free -- 10 oz Each / Pack of 2

Arrowhead Mills Organic Maple Buckwheat Flakes Gluten Free -- 10 oz Each / Pack of 2I'm really glad I got a single box of these flakes at the health food store before buying a multi-pack online because I can't repurchase. In fact I shouldn't have purchased it at all after reading the box label at the store, but wanted to check the product out tastewise.

Buckwheat's not a grain, but a seed, and straight buckwheat is relatively low in carbohydrates, which is why it's great for diabetics or people who eat low carb. Unfortunately as a pseudo-grain it lacks binding properties which is why manufacturers tend to add a secondary grain product to help whatever it is hold together. A true buckwheat udon noodle would be lovely, for example, but too often there is more wheat flour than buckwheat and the final product gets carb-heavy.

Unfortunately, the case is similar here. Though this cereal is very tasty, buckwheat is coupled with rice flour (second ingredient) and sugar cane juice (third) and maple syrup (fifth). By the time they're done making this, it's 35 carbs in a cup (and less than a gram of fiber). That's like drinking a non-diet cola.

This could be fixed by the manufacturer lowering the rice content, and eliminating the sugar and maple, allowing us to choose our own sweetener, but I understand the world doesn't revolve around people restricting carb intake. Just wishful thinking.

But if you're a gluten intolerant person and have no blood sugar issues... this is your cereal... and I'm jealous.
