Cafe Britt Costa Rica Organic Shade Grown Ground Coffee, 12-Ounce Bags (Pack of 2)

On a trivial note, the bag is beautiful, but difficult to open.

The coffee smells and tastes wonderful. It brews to the color of a medium or medium dark roast (closer to medium). It is bright without being overly acidic (it retains a smoothness, but not so smooth as to be mellow; it is still bright). It is rich and good mouth feel. It retains it's flavor for the whole pot without changing (I'm assuming it would if you left it in glass carafe on hot plate).

I brought a thermal carafe to work right after brewing and honestly, it could have been a coffee commercial:

Eyes opening widely, "Omg, this is really good coffee."

Big grin, "This is delicious! This is the best coffee I've ever had! I love you, and I mean it this time!"

Satisfied smile, "This is really good coffee, delightful. It tastes like coffee from when I grew up (in Central America)."

When I first brewed and tasted it I thought to myself, this may be the only coffee I ever buy again.

Usually I purchase: Starbucks, Gevalia, and Illy.

The price really is pretty good for 12 oz bags of ORGANIC coffee!

I went to Costa Rica on my honeymoon and drank Cafe Britt every meal. I love it and have been wanting to get it at home for years. Started using Amazon so I looked for it and was very happy to find it. Takes me back every time I drink it. Was also happy to find the organic line. LOVE IT!

I studied abroad for a semester and lived with a local family in Costa Rica. If there's one thing I'll never forget, it's how incredible their coffee was. I drank Cafe Britt every day for 6 months, and have been missing it since then. Thankfully, I stumbled across it here and have fallen back in love all over again.

This is a medium-dark roast, and stronger than your average coffee. We use a stainless steel, Ekobrew refillable K-cup. The grounds stay fresh in the bag, and the first cup is as good as the last.

This is organic, shade grown coffee. In case you didn't know, non-organic coffee is one of the most pesticide-laden foods you can consume. Along with being filled with carcinogens, non-organic coffee is grown in the sun, as opposed to the shade. This allows it to grow faster. However, they don't get natural protection from critters from birds, so they spray the beans with loads of pesticides to keep them off. The pesticides are destroying farmlands, and farmers are dying young from associated cancers.

Don't take any chances, and stick with organic, shade grown coffee. This is the best you can buy don't think twice!

Pero Instant Natural Beverage, 7-Ounce Canisters (Pack of 6)

I recently gave up coffee and decided to try three different coffee substitutes: Roastaroma, Cafix, and Pero. Although Cafix tasted the most like real coffee (and it tastes *a lot* like real coffee), and all three products are pretty good, Roastaroma was my favorite.

It is very similar to coffee, but it doesn't quite have the bitter bite of coffee. Those of you who are looking for that slight bitterness might prefer Cafix. Roastaroma actually reminds me a little bit of Mexican hot chocolate--the cinnamon and carob flavors come through pretty strongly in the drink, giving it a cinnamon-chocolatey flavor. I used to drink coffee to satisfy my sweet tooth on low calories. This drink totally fits the bill for this purpose.

The Pero is pretty good, too. Like Roastaroma, it doesn't have the bitter coffee taste, but it still makes for a decent imitation of decaf. I like to drink it with cinnamon-flavored powdered creamer. Pero's a good value, too: it's strong enough that you don't need to use very much to flavor your whole drink. I drink the Pero when I'm trying to ration the Roastaroma out to myself so as not to run out.

So Roastaroma has the best flavor, Cafix tastes the most like coffee, and Pero is a good back-up.

A quick note on Postum: I do not care for it. I find that people who like Postum tend to be people who were never coffee drinkers. It tastes nothing like coffee. If you try Postum as a coffee substitute, you will be disappointed.

I was a caffeine addict until it started to affect my health. By the doctor's orders, I backed off the caffeine. I went onto Amazon looking for decaf coffee, and I found Pero. WHAT A GREAT FIND!!! I now have several cups per day, but I don't feel guilty about it. It has 3 ingredients--barley, malted barley, and chicory. Maybe I am hooked on the chicory. Is that possible? I doubt it. Anyway, I swear this stuff tastes more like coffee every time I drink it. I have been tempted to play a practical joke with people at work by asking them to try my new "coffee". I'll bet I could fool many of them. I love Pero so much that I actually gave some to my Mom along with her chocolates for Mother's Day. Love live Pero!

When Kraft quit making Postum we had to find an alternative it was already an alternative to coffee, so this would be plan C. We explored every avenue we could find in our small town at all the local stores and on the internet. We found Pero on line and decided to stick our necks out to try a case of it. Pero is a real good coffee substitute it does "foam" up (like hot cocoa) though. It is more of a "mellowed" taste of coffee, which is still quite good like you may have added just a touch of flavoring. Cafix has more of a straight coffee taste. But I like both and alternate between the two, depending on my mood.

I notice , a lot of these products are not reviewed , and we are so happy to find them at a reasonable price. We had this for breakfast, and everyone , kids , adults , and in-between's thought it was great ...we tosted it. (It almost has a sour dough taste)

One of the best breads I have eaten that is gluten-free, egg-free and dairy-free. The texture and taste are wonderful when toasted.

Although not exactly as I remember raisin bread, it's a welcome treat after so long without. It has a good texture, toasts well, but could have more cinnamon flavor. It is somewhat pricey, but I miss bread, so I splurge a little.

Update: I need to warn consumers that, although this packaging should last until the expiration date, you must examine this bread before you use it. At $44+ you can't eat this bread too fast, even though it is light. As I got to the last three loaves, I noticed mold on most of the slices. I hoped none was tainted that was already eaten. It was well before the expiration date. I now have too much of a distrust of this product to order it again. The Ener_G company took the bad bread back and will send me replacement loaves. They asked why I didn't order from them. From now on, I think i will. It can't be any more expensive. This price is no bargain.

I feared I'd never eat raisin bread again since I'm trying very hard to be wheat free/gluten free. Although I paid way too much, $6.99 at New Seasons Market in Portland, Oregon, it was worth it. Tried it this morning, and it was like biting into my childhood of eating raisin toast. I made a piece for my husband who avoids my gluten free breads with a "No Thank You, that's for you". Nature's Path Organic - Cereal Smart Bran with Psyllium & Oatbran - 10.6 oz.

I bought this to increase fibre in my diet and thought it to be a very good choice. However, I find it has been sweetened and I don't like that. I now just add a spoon full to my muesli (all natural no sugar added) and the sugar still comes through. A shame. But if you like sweet, you should enjoy it.

Eden Brown Rice & Mugwort Mochi

This Mochi is very hard to come by in the US. This is authentic "Kusa Mochi, or Mugwort Mochi that is popular in Japan. I love Eden's version as theirs are made of brown rice instead of white sweet rice. Of course the mochi with white sweet rice makes it more starchy and sweeter, but considering health benefits of using brown rice, this is the winner! Just bake it on a sheet of aluminum foil in an over toaster at 450 degree temperature for about 5 to 10 minutes, or you see it's puffed up for about an inch. It's ready to eat, and my favorite way to eat is to wrap it with a sheet of toasted "nori" or seaweed, and dip in a soy sauce or famous Liquid Amino to enjoy! The use of Mochi is endless miso soup, or with noodles like udon, soba, or ramen. They are bit pricey and I wish they are available at cheaper price, but Amazon's subscription price is the best price I found so far online.

Nice taste and fast shipping. eaten without heated is also good. best for school and work. I will consider it next time if I wanna buy some snack.

Dorset Cereals Simply Delicious Muesli, 12-Ounce (Pack of 5)

We love Dorset mueslis and have had a few different ones on subscription with Amazon over the last year or two. The Simply Delicious flavor is our favorite, however.

I have enjoyed this style muesli all of my life but have never had one that had such large chunks of nuts in it as the Dorset Simply Delicious. That is my favorite thing about this muesli. The rest of it is great as well not too sweet, hearty, and just so yummy. My husband has his with milk, I prefer it with Greek yogurt. Either way it is a treat for us, not just breakfast.

I love this product. It is excellent with shredded apple and vanilla yogurt. I also add chopped fruit and maple syrup.

Having read other reviews of the Dorset Simply Delicious Muesli I was looking forward to receiving it. I haven't been able to find a muesli that I really like in our local supermarkets. I was disappointed with the Dorset Simply Delicious muesli's taste. It was more like cardboard than cereal and devoid of much taste. I'm sure it's healthy, but I can imagine eating it daily.

Fortunately, I was able to find a muesli I like on Amazon. The Familia Swiss Crunch with Sunflower and Pumpkin seeds is much tastier than the Dorset and has a better texture. Everyone has his/her own taste, so don't let this review keep you from trying the Dorset product. However, do yourself a favor and give the Familia products a taste, as well.

All of the Dorset cereals are great but the dark blue box is the best. It is not too sweet and has a ton of nuts along with oats & dried fruits. Hardly any grocery stores carry Dorset anymore so it is great that Amazon still sells it!
