Oatmeal can be classified as a perfect food. Really. Quaker Oats offers the best oats, in my opinion. Oatmeal has many health benefits. It lowers LDL "bad" cholesterol while not lowering HDL "good" cholesterol levels, is a good source of soluble fiber (which helps suppress appetite), lowers blood pressure, is a good source of vitamins and minerals (especially magnesium, which is good for blood pressure) and contains the amino acid L-arginine (good for lowering blood pressure and cholesterol).
With benefits like these, make yourself a nice big bowl right now.I have eaten this 1 minutes oatmeal for at least 2 years.
Something changed.
It smelled and tasted horrible 6 months ago, and I first suspected pesticides from my home.
My wife sprays them in the area we stored this package, and I suspected the paper packaging allows
the pesticides to be permeated into the food.
I started to put the package in a bag, and sometimes the fridge to avoid this.
Okay, the smell went away, and came back.
So, is it the pesticide from the supermarket?
In the past 6 months, even my mother found the "shells", non edible pieces. That's not acceptable.
And now there are news or rumors of this being GMO.
I am switching to organic oatmeal.
